We had a wonderful stay at the condo. You can see the ocean through the trees from the balcony. We really appreciated how beautifully decorated and well-stocked it was. We could tell as soon as we pulled up in the parking lot that this condo was the best kept in the building, just by looking up at the balconies. There is a small table and set of chairs on the balcony that made it a nice spot for breakfast and coffee. We had never been to Hilton Head island before. The owners of the condo e-mailed us right away with recommendations for where to eat and what to do while on the island. The beach was never very crowded. Sometimes we were the only two people within sight. Getting Wi-Fi set up was super easy, which we appreciated. If you are going to Hilton Head, I highly recommend this condo.

The villa was the perfect size for 2 and had everything we needed. We had to buy coffee filters at Walmart and left them for future visitors, Could use a good reading lamp. The suggestions from the owners on places to eat were very helpful and we enjoyed great seafood. Did not get a chance to ride the bikes but they looked very nice. Love the island and Seaside. We would highly recommend this property.

This was our first trip to Hilton Head and we couldn't have done much better. Good value for a well-furnished, nicely maintained, very comfortable condo. Compact but plenty of room for two. Very convenient to the beach - in fact, the fantastic beach experience was the highlight of our trip. Located within an easy walk or bike ride of Coligny Plaza where you can find a grocery store, liquor store, shopping and eating/drinking establishments.

We are relocating perhaps to the Hilton Head area..and I have been looking at places to rent on several different occations. After emailing many many many people- BARB is the VERY BEST - sure is honest and forthcoming with any and all information. She replies immediately.........unlike many- who seemed to be put upon to even answer the initial email. One actually seemed rude to me. Unfortunately I could not get booked into their units when I needed to go (that being said) I wiil at my next visit give them the very first shot at my renting. These folks are true professionals and I would highly suggest to anyone to try them first!! Thanks again Barb-- looking forward to spending my $$ with you soon.

This is an excellent villa for quick beach access. Very nicely decorated. Very clean. Would definately stay here again.

We spent a wonderful vacation in this neat and cozy villa with ocean view. The condo comes with everything needed for a wonderful stay on HIlton Head Island. It is close to many shops, restaurants, points of interest and is very close to the beach. The complex also has a nice pool and is beautifully landscaped. We highly recommend staying in this condo.

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I love Hilton Head. I have been there 5 times. I have rented from Barb and John the past two years and have loved both villas. This villa has a great veiw and all the newly updates makes this a great place to stay. If you are looking to be on the beach, enjoy watching the dolphins play, and be close to fun shopping and resturants within walking distance, this is a GREAT choice. I look forward to returning to this same place next year. This has become an annual mother/daughter vacation getaway!!

We arrived late at this condo and it was very hard to find as all of the halls to get from one portion of the building to another had closed doors and no windows. Each hall had it's own bad smell. My husband said "we are in trouble" in the hall way. Once inside this condo we realized it was just a big hotel room that had been turned into a condo. The way it was set up there was only one chair in the living area where you could view the TV. The bedroom had no windows, so they painted one on the wall. The place was very stuffy and cramped. The view of the ocean which was miniscule was preceeded by a parking lot. The fan blades which you had to have on due to the stuffiness were coated with dirt and grime. The bedding was stained. We left the doors open to get some fresh air thru the night. This was not a good idea as at 8AM they were blowing the parking lot right outside the door, which woke us up. Then in the morning when we said we couldn''t stay there another night to management, they said they would have to call the owners. Well that did nothing as we had put down more money than one night cost, and did not receive a refund. This was a VERY expensive night in a really bad place. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Owner response:We are sorry that these guests were unhappy with our villa. The pictures on Home Away are 100% accurate...all were taken in the villa, with no enhancements of any kind. Therefore, what you see on the site is exactly what you get.The rooms, the furnishings and the view are very accurately depicted. The hallways outside the villas are closed by "Fire Doors", as required by South Carolina Fire Code! This villa was built as a one bedroom, one bath condo with full living room and galley kitchen.....a far cry from a "hotel room". We have completely remodeled this villa, from the walls out, including all appliances and furnishings. We removed the bedroom wall, to provide an "open concept" for a more spacious feel. Most guests absolutely love this layout. There are 2 TV's with DVD in our villa, both with viewing access for at least two people. There is no reason for "stuffiness" since the villa is fully air conditioned. And, I am sorry that our landscapers were so conscientious as to be blowing the debris from the parking lot at 8 AM. According to the building bylaws, this is the allowable start time for work on weekdays. We pay a commission to a local management agent, just so our guests have someone to call in case anything in our villas is not to their expectations. We pay a professional cleaning service to ensure that our villas are clean, and that the linens are always fresh. I can only say that this villa was rented over 300 days in 2009, and the comments we received were rave reviews and return guests. We would have gladly returned this guest's deposit if they had checked out for a legitimate reason. But, upon inspection of the villa following their departure, we found none of the issues they brought forth to be true, and we surely have not misrepresented Anything on our HA site. We, as well as our management company, feel that they left for personal reasons. Upon leaving, the management company offered them other accomodations, two of which had just had very pricey renovations and are in fabulous condition. These guests declined both.....so it did not seem as if they truly wanted to stay under any circumstance. Everyone has a right to their opinion, and they have a right not to like this villa for whatever reason they choose, but they do not have the right to make false accusations so that others are denied the opportunity to enjoy a beachfront vacation in a great oceanside villa! Thanks for making our first trip to Hilton Head a memorable vacation. Your condo was ideal for our private, quick get-a-way! The decor is beautiful and sets the perfect ambiance for the beach. You also thought of absolutely everything one would need and provided it. Superfantastic! Having not ridden a bicycle since ????? the bikes were fun. It's a shame that I had to go on vacation to get some exercise. Now that I am all sore and broken in, I guess I'll try ot keep it up. Again, thanks for allowing us to stay in your home. Our first vacation as a couple will NEVER be forgotten! May God continuously bless you and your family.

"We have stayed in several different villas here at Seaside over the past eight years, but this one is our very favorite so far. We love the way that you removed the wall in the bedroom and converted the bunkbed area into closet space. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. Hopefully we will be able to come back to Hilton Head soon. This villa is so comfortable and decorated beautifully. Even though it was cooler than normal all week here, it was still much warmer than it was in Tennessee. We were still able to ride bikes and walk on the beach almost every day. And, also, we were able to look out and see the ocean. Thanks again!!

A wonderful condo experience that exceeded our expectations! At first, we thought it was quite small, but quickly realized it was everything we needed for a romantic vacation. Breakfast and afternoon wine on the deck with a beautiful view down the beach were part of every day. The two bicycles were a treat as well and we rode every day ... exploring the island as well as the beach in both directions (we checked the tide schedule and planned accordingly). Don't miss a breakfast at Signe's and dinner at the The Backyard. Barb and John provided other good recommendations in the guest book.
