The property suited our needs just fine, and we had a good week. We had 10 people and felt fine in the house - not crowded. Overall, we were pleased with our stay. However, we had 3 maintenance problems during our stay, two of which were taken care of promptly (one was the downstairs A/C unit - went out on the 2nd night, fixed within 2 hours of the call). One was never fixed - the pool ladder top step is broken. The mgmt company said it was the pool company responsibility. They said it was ordered but it never came in (have they not heard of Amazon?). The house needs to be updated and cleaned, with a heavy dose of TLC - badly. The carpet is very bad, the outside of the house needs work (can't walk from the front to the back because of the overgrown landscaping, and the top decks need work - nails sticking up and wood in bad shape. Also, the bunk beds need repair - the top rails on both are loose and not safe. There were a few shades in the house that were broken and didn't work - minor, but still need to be fixed. The pool is pretty small - can't be much bigger than 12x20. It worked fine for us, but it is small. As I said, we were pleased with this house and it suited our needs. But, it didn't blow us away. And, the condition of the house didn't effect our trip - came close, but thankfully it didn't. I've stayed at two other houses on this same street (one more expensive, one less) and almost a third (went to Hilton Head that year instead because of the oil spill). This house would rank below those other three, for sure. It just needs some TLC and attention. That would help.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Spent the week of July 4th with the entire family. 8 adults and 3 kids. Never once felt cramped, more than enough space for all of us. Rooms were all large enough and kitchen was very large. Pool in backyard was great. Perfect location. This was our third trip to this area, in the past we have stayed at watercolor and rosemary beach. This location gets you out of the congestion of those busy areas yet close enough to drive there or even bike. This house was no more than a block to the beach access. Also close to the to the Tom thumb incase you need anything. Had a great stay and will stay again. Highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
