Family of 6 had a great winter weekend getaway!

This property was exactly what we were looking for. We have 4 small children and were looking to take them sledding in the mountains. We took them up to Beech Mtn (only 20 minutes away) and had a blast. The downtime was spent in front of the fireplace watching the TV (great entertainment setup) and playing some of the games in the unit. Went out to the indoor pool a couple of times while we were there and had the entire facility to ourselves. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is our 4th time staying in Echota and we enjoyed it thoroughly this year...Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home in the mtns. My grandson enjoyed sleeping in the loft...the view was phenomenal....we have been coming to this area for 15 years and we really like the area...the boys enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed the wonderful temperatures and the beauty of the mtns. I felt like I was on top of the world. Thank you again and many blessings to you and your families.

WOW! We couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations!!! What a beautiful place to vacation! The surroundings were absolutely gorgeous and the condo was so nicely decorated. We felt so comfortable and at home. Myself, my daughter and 3 granddaughters had a fabulous "girls" week in July 2010. We will definitely return next year! Amazing!!!!!

Our second stay during May 8-11, 2009 was very enjoyable. My daughter graduated from AppState on Sunday (Mothers' Day)with a MS degree and the weather was just divine. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and the condo was as beautifully appointed as we remembered from the first time, with improvements. Over the past 3 decades we have stayed in more than a hundred facilities and vacation rentals. This one rates in the top 5.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. Being on top of the mountain was so peaceful, definitely a good place to get away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking a quite weekend away.

We started in on this as two families looking to have a place to “get away” from it all, but “can’t always be here as much as we’d like”. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do when we’re here; it really is a special place that we’re sure you’ll appreciate!Just a few tips to make things a bit easier We’ve tried to provide a nice electronics, TV/sound system for your enjoyment – instructions for their use should be located on a laminated sheet above the fireplace. Everything in the family room can be controlled with one remote! We’ve also included those same instructions in this book along with instructions for starting the gas fireplace, local places of interest, etc. The thermostat for controlling heat/ac can be adjusted up or down by holding the button in a few seconds until the temp. starts blinking; then you can adjust up or down and it will reset within a few seconds.In case you’re having a rainy day or a quiet evening, an assortment of games is located in the cabinet near the patio door.Please take the time to place an entry about your stay in our Journal! Tell us what dates you stayed, where you’re from and a little bit about your visit! We’re just getting started in this adventure so you’ll be some of the first entries!Also…please take the time to e-mail us and let us know what you did or didn’t like about what we’ve provided.
