This house is downtown Beaufort. Nothing states that its in the historical district. Its a nice little house in a good location. Its free standing with its own parking in a safe neighborhood. We have taken the advice of a previous renter and performed a "Spring Cleaning": carpets upholstery,& etc.

Cottage is indeed one block off the bay but is not in the historic district. Believe this to be misleading information. House has enormous potential but needs a deep cleaning and linen and towel replacements. Some furniture and rugs stained. Improvement needed to meet basic cleanliness standards.

We came down for my son's Marine Boot Camp graduation. My wife found this wonderful house. SInce we would have needed 2-3 hotel rooms to fit the 7 (8 after graduation) people we had in out party, the house was a great find. Plenty of room, a great kitchen to make meals in. And so close to Parris Island. It was very convenient both days when we needed to get there early. Beautiful little house, with alot of room, great back yard. They do have internet, but it is not wireless, so bring a wireless router to hook up to the cable modem to keep everyone happy.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This is a sweet house within 15 minutes of Parris Island that is right off the main road that leads you to the Island. What makes it nicer is that you enter the Island on the gate side with less traffic. This house had everything that we needed during our Marine Graduation stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were dated but functional. The combined living and dining areas were large and comfortable with a TV with cable and a remote. Our family of 6 split the cost of the house which made it much cheaper than a hotel. The house has a compact washer and dryer which were nice. The owners were pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this house especially for all Marine Graduation families.
