My wife and I rented this house for three weeks in August of 2011. If anything it exceeded the description given on VRBO. We are very familiar with the Saluda area but were unaware of the location of this particular house. It is in a wonderful spot--close to town and the interstate--but it seemed as if it were at the end of the world. It is on the ridge of a mountain and is completely surrounded by beautiful trees. You can get a small glimpse of the view through the trees on one side. I am sure the view in the winter is spectacular. The house is very attractive--the pictures do not do it justice. It is tastefully furnished and very well equiped. There was nothing that we needed that was not there. The town of Saluda itself is conveniet to just about any mountain activity that you might desire. Saluda is a very small quaint town but has the advantage of being located only a few miles from the outskirts of Hendersonville where their are grocery stores, drug stores, exercise centers etc. It is also very convenient to Ashville, Black Mountain and it is conveniently located to get to some great Trout fishing rivers. I would most definately recommend the house to friends and relatives and I plan to rent it again myself.

Our friends have rented this home several times and have asked us to come to the mountains to join them. It's a short and pleasant drive from Charlotte. The home is beautifully decorated and you have everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is abundantly furnished with cooking supplies. We even found a couple decks of cards for a quick card game. Saluda is just down the road and the last time we were there we found the wonderful town of Brevard with all of its shops. While the guys played golf at a nearby golf course we enjoyed a day of shopping. In fact we loved Brevard so much we went back the next day. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing vacation. Even though you are close to the everything, once you get up the driveway you feel you miles away from everyone. And watching the sun come up over the mountains is magical.

You never know what you'll get when you rent a home for the first time. Our expectations were exceeded!! Since our time in the beautifully decorated and well appointed Saluda mountain home, we've rented the property with our good friends three more times! It is a favorite destination for us. We never miss a dinner at the Purple Onion a few miles away and shopping for antiques in Hendersonville around 25 minutes away.

This property is the perfect mountain retreat! It is cozy, well furnished, thoughtfully decorated and is located in a beautiful setting. Plus, it's just minutes away from the quaint Saluda downtown. We have stayed at this house several times and always look forward to our time there.
