This bright, newly renovated 32m2 (345 square feet), non-smoking apartment (November 2004) is situated within the Arts & Metiers district and is 10 minutes’ walk from the Beaubourg/Pompidou Centre. The apartment is well served by transport links, as there are three metro stations nearby, all within 5 minutes’ walk (Arts & Metiers, Republique and Temple). The Les Halles center is 15 minutes’ walk away, as are both the Picasso and Carnavalet Museums; Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle and the Latin Quarter are all within
20 minutes’ walk.
The apartment is conveniently located close to local shops and amenities, such as cafes and restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, banks, churches, a gym and also a market.
Despite being very central, the apartment is very quiet as all the windows overlook internal courtyards and gardens. It is situated on the third (US fourth) floor of a traditional 18th century Parisian building and is accessible by stairs.
Two guests can be accommodated in the bedroom on a queen size bed and in the living area there is a comfortable, convertible sofa bed which sleeps a further two guests.
The kitchen is a good size and is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, combined oven/grill and microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, electric filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, a breakfast bar and a variety of cooking utensils and tableware.
The living room has a large sofa bed, a nest of low tables, cable TV (French, English, Spanish and Portuguese channels), a CD/DVD player and stereo.
The bedroom has a queen size bed, a large wardrobe, luggage space, a fireplace, a computer desk, a chair and a telephone.
The bathrooms feature a large tiled shower, a sink, a towel heater, a mirrored cabinet and a WC.
The hallway has coat hooks and a utility cupboard housing a clothes washer/dryer.
The telephone answering machine means that you can be contacted 24/24 and your international telephone calls are free and unlimited from France to North America if you take out the Internet option (4 €/Day).
Linen, cookware and kitchen utensils are all provided, as are a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. Also included is a free cleaning service once per week. Utilities and taxes are included in the rate.
