This property is located on Monteagle Mountain. It is in between Nashville and Chattanooga on Interstate 24. Monteagle and Sewanee are a small calm towns, perfect for a get-away. There are restaurants less than five minutes away from the house. The University of the South and St. Andrew's-Sewanee are both ten minutes away, perfect for Parents' Weekend, Graduation, or Commencement. Other things that are an hour or less away are: Chattanooga or Murfreesburro shopping/entertainment (movies, comedy theaters, concerts, spas, malls, restaurants), Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchberg, and wonderful nature areas: Foster Falls State Park, Stone Door, Natural Bridge, and Fiery Gizzard.
The house is newly built. It was built five years ago, and is still under the same owner/builder, so any questions about the house will be easily answered. Its signature is the octagon. There are many octagons throughout the house, and these can be seen in the pictures. The house has a wonderful bluff view that can be experienced on the wrap around porch or on the covered deck.
