Your eye will then lead you to the stunning majesty of the Adirondacks.
After absorbing all of this you will then be curious to explore the remainder of the house where you will then find the large & spacious master bedroom. Complete with a King Size Bed well suited for comfort and sleeping late. This is encouraged by the ability to open the mstr. bdrms. French Doors and feel the breeze off the lake and watch the waves roll in. A pergola was added over the doors to add additional privacy on the deck. The bedroom also offers a full compliment of dressers, large closets and a full, private master bath.

My family rented the Vermont Lake House for a long weekend and it fit our needs PERFECTLY. We are massive sports fans and used all 5 TVs (especially the big screen) constantly. When not watching, we cooked food in the spacious kitchen and fired up the enormous grill. In the summer season, I could have spent the entire time out on the deck, taking in the views. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of room for people to sleep comfortably. Highly recommend a visit and Martin will surely help coordinate whatever you need.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My experience was overall very good. Accommodations were great and house was in a beautiful location! Landlord did a good job finding alternative forms of entertainment and was quick to respond to email. However, the price was high for low season (winter) and the landlord should have negotiated this. Rental rate in low season was equivalent to rental rate for a ski condo in high season. Landlord also showed little flexibility in rental rate when # of people staying changed. Burlington was also 50 minutes away, not 30 minutes.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This property was the perfect setting for a relaxing week with our family. We had several families (7 adults - no kids) under one roof and we all fit comfortably. We also brought along our two small dogs (less than 15 lbs each) and they had no issues as well. Larger dogs may take up more space. The Wi-Fi access was great. Everyone was able to be as "plugged in" as they wanted. The decks were amazing, especially the top deck. It was child and dog proof so we felt totally comfortable letting the pups out with us on the deck during the day and evenings. The railings were close together and high so there was no fear of falling and there was a locked gate to prevent access to other areas. The views from this property are amazing. The sun sets over the mountains right from the back balcony and the lake access is great. We were able to bring kayaks and explore easily. My husband was even so bold as to cross the lake to the other side and back one day. As far as location, it is a little remote. We enjoyed it but it was about a 30 or so minute drive to Burlington which was ok but we knew that going in and agreed it was worth it for the property. We spent a lot of time hiking and exploring at the local state parks - there were several within 5-15 minutes of the property. Dogs are welcome at almost all VT parks so we were able to include our pups in most daily activities. We would recommend Mt. Philo. We had almost everything we needed in the house - laundry, kitchen appliances, plenty of bathrooms. Parking was also fine - we actually only had three cars there total during the week, but we probably could have one or two more. As far as sleeping arrangements, there are three truly solo bedrooms which had queen or king sized beds and the other bedroom is like a large bonus room with three full beds and a couch. We didn't need the extra beds, but this would be a great room for kids to share. As far as temperature. We were there in August and some days it was quite warm but most of the rooms have the AC units in the windows and we were quite comfortable. All in all, our time at this property was relaxing and enjoyable. The property was as expected based on the photos and the feedback provided and was very clean. Didn't need the owners during our stay but working with them up to the week (as far as contracts and payment) was a breeze. Don't be put off by paying the full amount in advance. My entire family would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful, peaceful hideaway on the lake. Great base for enjoying the autumn foliage in Central Vermont. No noise, out of the way, and 100% lakefront. House is a home from home. Well equipped, comfortable and lacking nothing. Owner very helpful and cooperative. Close to large regional areas for shopping essentials. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were a group of six women who try to get together every year if possible. This property fit our needs perfectly. Spacious, lots of beds, and a wonderful deck for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails, A dip in the lake then dinner in a well equipped kitchen or going out to a local resturant. The beach area was surprisingly very private for a very popular lake. A full moon and warm temperatures compliments of climate change made this a wonderful stay in beautiful Vermont.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This a fantastic home which has everything you will need to make your vacation memorable. The decks are just gorgeous overlooking the lake, the sunsets are spectacular! Our family had a great time. I only wish I had booked 2 two weeks instead of one! You will not be disappointed if you choose to rent this home. Also, Marty, the owner was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating and approachable. He always got back to me with answers to my questions within the same day. Thank you for a WONDERFUL stay in your beautiful home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

To say that the views from the Upper Deck were "incredible" doesn't do justice to our vacation experience. If it wasn't for all the sights to see near this lake house, we could have just spent our entire time gazing at the lake, the mountains, and the sunsets. The house itself certainly met our expectations. We enjoyed the spacious living areas, which allowed us room to spread out, and the appliances and amenities are well above the norm. We also really appreciated the owner checking up on us to make sure everything was okay. From this location we were easily able to venture to Fort Ticonderoga (NY), Chimney Point (VT), Ben and Jerry's (Waterbury), Middlebury (beautiful downtown), Stowe (mountains), and Burlington (Church Street). We would highly recommend a day trip to the Von Trapp family hotel near Stowe (VT) and an afternoon boat charter at the Basin Harbor Resort (very close to the house). Vergennes is a fairly short car drive and has many good restaurants (check out The Antidote - great food), along with Shaw's grocery, and the Opera House. Also, Shelburne, Vermont is on the way to Burlington, and it has a good number of restaurants and unique shops. Or, as we said at the beginning, we could have just stayed on the Upper Deck all day then watched the sunset. Or skip rocks on the beach at Potash Bay - serene, very serene.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank You so very much for the kind words! You were awesome guests and you were always a pleasure to speak with. We truly enjoy it when our guests maximize their experience by exploring all that our area has to offer. Sounds like you did some exploring.......in all the right places. Don't forget to come back next year as their is still more to see! Until then........

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: My wife and I just love to travel and vacation all over the world. However, we were blessed with a son and needed to settle down. We figured if our travel was limited with the little one we should get a home that has the most vacation fun possible....so we did! This was originally our home and we developed it with TLC we hope that you will find it as warm and comfortable as we did. Oh...the home is very 'child friendly' as well.
Why the Owner Chose Addison:
My wife and I Love life in Vermont. We are huge fans if hiking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. This house placed us directly in the middle of all of this.
Additionally;Burlington,Middlebury and Vergennes provide a nice mix of culture and entertainment. Fort Ticonderoga is rich in history and just across the bridge to NY. We are centrally located just minutes from cultural & entertainment cities so you may enjoy various activities with your friends and family.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property is unique in so many ways. We can accomodate either small or large parties in total comfort. The layout of the house is conducive to allowing several different groups to gather together while each maintaining their privacy.
We have hosted a few family reunions and our guests always compliment us on the fact that no one feels crowded. With two living rooms, office area, 1600 sq feet of outside decks and a dock different age groups tend to gather at various locations throughout the property. The kids have their own living room, adults their area, BBQing on the deck and others on the dock and in the water all at the same time.
Sunsets are incredible over the Adirondacks are breathtaking. Sunrises over the Green mountains are equally as inviting.
Lake access for boats, cross country skiers, ice fisherman, snowmobilers.
