- The closest beach is 16 miles from the house, which is called Englewood Beach. Boca Grande Beach is 19 miles from Our house. Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda is about 8 miles away, you can shop and eat there or perhaps rent a charter boat. Port Charlotte has a weekend flea market, cinemas, restaurants, shopping, Busch Gardens 1.5 hours, Disney World 2.5 hours. Venice has a nice weekend Flea Market as well and is only about a 20 minute drive from Our home.
