  This home is exactly as advertised. We wanted a place where all 12 of our family members could be together for the Christmas holiday with enough room for everyone to have "space" and yet allow lots of time for conversation and interaction. This was a perfect fit! Our teens enjoyed being together and kept busy with games, billiards, the outdoors, and of course their phones and laptops. The girls chose to bunk together in the same room while the guys preferred separate quarters and there was plenty of room to meet all of their needs. All rooms facing the lake have spectacular views. We enjoyed watching the ever-changing weather as fog, clouds, snow and rain drifted in and out across the lake. The walk to the Village was very doable along the waterfront trail and provided a great opportunity to enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding homes and meet some lovely local dogs and humans. And the shopping was GREAT--fabulous Christmas sales at all the outlet stores. A trip to Snow Valley provided skiing options for those who wanted to ski. For those of us who don't ski, we took the opportunity to take some snow pictures and return to the warmth of "home". Jensen's Market (just up the road) has everything you might need. We shopped before we came not knowing if we could get the items we needed. It turned out that Jensen's was stocked so well that we even found things we couldn't get at home. We had the pleasure of meeting Bill and his family on our arrival. They are wonderful and caring hosts eager for everyone to have a memorable experience. This home met our every expectation. The kids said it best: it sure would be fun to come back again in the summer. Thanks Bill! We loved it.

  We had a family gathering with about 30 of for our parents 60 th wedding anniversary. We rented Bill's house and a neighbor house. We all had a great time enjoying the lake and just kicking back in the houses. The kitchen has everything you need and the beds were very comfortable. There are two kayaks to use and the dock on the beach is handy. The location is close to the supermarket and the Village is a short drive. The owner, Bill, was very accomodating and was great to deal with. I would recommend this house to anyone.

  I arranged a family reunion for this summer at Lake Arrowhead and found this perfect house for rent. Bill the owner was the most amazing person to deal with. He's extremely nice and very eager to help with any questions about the house or Lake Arrowhead activities. The house itself is very kid friendly which was very important for us. Our group included my parents, brothers' families and a total of seven children ranging from 3 months to 6 years old. They loved playing with each other in the huge house, exploring and playing hide and go seek! My parents loved the master suite on the main floor with the jacuzzi tub, and each couple/family enjoyed their own room and bathroom. The kids decided to sleep together in one room (so cute!), so we actually did not use all the rooms. The house really had everything you could imagine, we were amazed. And the house had possibly the most perfect view of the lake and sunrise that you can enjoy on the upper or lower balcony. Behind the house there are stairs that lead down to a beach right on the lake, so the house has an amazing location. Our kids played on the beach and we hardly saw anyone, we basically had the area to ourselves. We went to Lake arrowhead village and enjoyed Lollipop park and the small playground there. Lollipop park is a small area with some rides for kids, we only got a chance to do the carousel and go-carts. We also drove to burnt mill beach club which is next to Lake arrowhead village, where the kids waded in the water and played in the sand. Overall, we had a very memorable time (in spite of the extremely hot temperature!) We hope to come back again!

  We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary during a week-long stay at Bill's place recently. Our 3 daughters, their husbands, and 5 grandkids were all there. We even had an extra bedroom. Everyone said that the house was the "best fit" for our family in terms of bedrooms, ambiance, view, fun, etc. of any of the half-dozen other homes we've rented in Oregon and California for similar family weeks over the past 10 years. The kayaks, the canoe, the dock, and the beach got a lot of use. We wanted to celebrate at Lake Arrowhead because the kids grew up visiting the cabin we had on Hook Creek Road for over 40 years before it burned in the big fire of 2003. So we visited our "roots;" the cabin site, the Malt Shop, Jenson's, the University of Redlands (where we met) and, especially, the Lake. It was perfect. Thank you Bill!

  Our family of 16 loved our extended weekend at this incredible lake house. We had an amazing birthday celebration and a weekend of fun and relaxation. There's a large kitchen to cook in...complete with grill, griddle and two refrigerators-all of which were used. There are two large family rooms....complete with pool table, ping pong, pinball and TVs for dvd watching-all of which were used. All 5 couples had view rooms and the kids bunked together in one of the other bedrooms. We had a private beach all to ourselves and the use of 4 kayaks which we used to paddle to a small, idyllic island nearby. Thanks, this is a house all of us said we will return to again. It was perfect!

  "WOW!" That's what everyone kept saying all weekend. Everything about this house is wonderful. Location: literally steps from the water and very close to town. Kitchen: the griddle and grill are awesome, as is having an extra refrigerator. Amenities: pool table, ping pong table, pinball machine, card table, DVD, WiFi, wet bar, canoe and kayak. Size and room layout: with 13 guys on a boys trip, we hung out upstairs, downstairs, in the loft, on the top deck, on the lower deck, on the private beach, on the dock and in the kitchen, and no one had to share a bed because the many giant couches are extremely comfortable! The pictures and description don't do this rental justice - I can't wait to go back, with extended family, or with a few other families and all the kids and dogs, or...whoever will come with me back to this amazing retreat!

  When our 3-family camping/cabin Spring Break trip to Big Sur was cancelled due to a huge Southern CA storm, the moms had to act fast. After all, we had 7 crying kids on our hands and nowhere to go! We investigated San Diego, Palm Springs, and then by luck of the universe stumbled upon this amazing property in Lake Arrowhead. Within 48 hours we piled into 3 SUVs and off we were on an adventure! Little did we know it would be the best vacation - yes EPIC - our kids have ever experienced. And because the kids were happy and entertained, the parents were in heaven. You won't be disappointed by your stay here, even if you are sans little ones. The home is well-appointed, the kitchen is amazing, the view is breathtaking and the owner has got to be one of the nicest owners out there. The VRBO site let us know what to expect, but upon arrival we discovered SO MUCH more! Each family had their own master bedroom, and there was plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. We packed tons of board games and DVDs, all of which remained packed because of the well-stocked cupboards of games and things to do, not to mention pool and ping pong! We drove to Snow Valley for great sledding, and were welcomed by a HUGE, yes HUGE snow storm in mid April. It made the house magical - the kids built a snowman on the beautiful private beach, and had snowball fights to their heart's content. The kitchen is so great - a grill and a restaurant-grade griddle for great breakfasts! You cannot ask for more. We arrived a little early the first day, and even the cleaning people were charming and helpful - directing us to the grocery store and offering to let us leave our labrador in their care while they finished working. I would say if you are considering staying here, you should consider it done. But don't encroach on our return trip back... I mean, I kind of want to keep this place a secret!!!

  This was our 1st family trip to Lake Arrowhead and I can say with certainty that it won't be our last. Bill, thank you so much for inviting our family into and letting us share your beautiful home for the weekend. We had quite a large party in our group and with kids, so there were doubts at first about the home in terms of size and if there would be enough elbow room. But as soon as we saw the place in person...all i can say is WOW! This place is HUGE! AND it has all the amenities and then some! Not once did any of us feel crowded. The lakefront view is spectacular especially during sunrise/sunset. The kitchen is top notch as well as all the electronics/entertainment. All rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Canoe/kayak were there for us to utilize, which we did use daily. And the fishing....it was awesome! Most fish were caught right off the private dock (all caught and released....lots of 1-2lbs smallmouth bass and a few 3-4lbs largemouths in there). We've absolutely fallen in love with this place! Bill, again, much thanks for your hospitality & kindness, responsiveness and for making the whole booking process so darn easy! Can't wait for next year because we're coming back!

  We are lucky to have been able to spend a week in Lake Arrowhead at this fantastic home. It is cozy, big, practical and beautiful! The master bedroom was perfect (large, comfortable and on the main floor) for my mom and dad who treated us all to this great vacation. If you go to Arrowhead with a large group, you will not be disappointed here. The owner is very friendly and pays attention to detail. I hope we get to go back!

  We have have stayed here twice with two other families and have nothing but great memories. We all have big kids and the ability to spread out and give everyone their own space is huge, even for a long weekend. We love the commercial grade kitchen and multiple rooms to watch TV or DVDs. It is a great location on the lake and the view was worthy enough for our family Christmas card this year. We really make good use of the canoe and also bring rafts to float around in the lake. Can't wait to come back for another fun summer trip.
