"WOW!" That's what everyone kept saying all weekend. Everything about this house is wonderful. Location: literally steps from the water and very close to town. Kitchen: the griddle and grill are awesome, as is having an extra refrigerator. Amenities: pool table, ping pong table, pinball machine, card table, DVD, WiFi, wet bar, canoe and kayak. Size and room layout: with 13 guys on a boys trip, we hung out upstairs, downstairs, in the loft, on the top deck, on the lower deck, on the private beach, on the dock and in the kitchen, and no one had to share a bed because the many giant couches are extremely comfortable! The pictures and description don't do this rental justice - I can't wait to go back, with extended family, or with a few other families and all the kids and dogs, or...whoever will come with me back to this amazing retreat!
Owner response:Thanks for the awesome review! Hope you all come back. Although we typically cater to families, we also enjoy hosting the "sophisticated Gentlemen's gatherings" when the ladies let them out for the occasional weekend reunions.

When our 3-family camping/cabin Spring Break trip to Big Sur was cancelled due to a huge Southern CA storm, the moms had to act fast. After all, we had 7 crying kids on our hands and nowhere to go! We investigated San Diego, Palm Springs, and then by luck of the universe stumbled upon this amazing property in Lake Arrowhead. Within 48 hours we piled into 3 SUVs and off we were on an adventure! Little did we know it would be the best vacation - yes EPIC - our kids have ever experienced. And because the kids were happy and entertained, the parents were in heaven. You won't be disappointed by your stay here, even if you are sans little ones. The home is well-appointed, the kitchen is amazing, the view is breathtaking and the owner has got to be one of the nicest owners out there. The VRBO site let us know what to expect, but upon arrival we discovered SO MUCH more! Each family had their own master bedroom, and there was plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of one another. We packed tons of board games and DVDs, all of which remained packed because of the well-stocked cupboards of games and things to do, not to mention pool and ping pong! We drove to Snow Valley for great sledding, and were welcomed by a HUGE, yes HUGE snow storm in mid April. It made the house magical - the kids built a snowman on the beautiful private beach, and had snowball fights to their heart's content. The kitchen is so great - a grill and a restaurant-grade griddle for great breakfasts! You cannot ask for more. We arrived a little early the first day, and even the cleaning people were charming and helpful - directing us to the grocery store and offering to let us leave our labrador in their care while they finished working. I would say if you are considering staying here, you should consider it done. But don't encroach on our return trip back... I mean, I kind of want to keep this place a secret!!!
Owner response:Great guests always have a great time, no matter the weather! Hopefully, Amy's review will prompt others to discover the magic of Lake Arrowhead. Thanks, Amy!

This was our 1st family trip to Lake Arrowhead and I can say with certainty that it won't be our last. Bill, thank you so much for inviting our family into and letting us share your beautiful home for the weekend. We had quite a large party in our group and with kids, so there were doubts at first about the home in terms of size and if there would be enough elbow room. But as soon as we saw the place in person...all i can say is WOW! This place is HUGE! AND it has all the amenities and then some! Not once did any of us feel crowded. The lakefront view is spectacular especially during sunrise/sunset. The kitchen is top notch as well as all the electronics/entertainment. All rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Canoe/kayak were there for us to utilize, which we did use daily. And the fishing....it was awesome! Most fish were caught right off the private dock (all caught and released....lots of 1-2lbs smallmouth bass and a few 3-4lbs largemouths in there). We've absolutely fallen in love with this place! Bill, again, much thanks for your hospitality & kindness, responsiveness and for making the whole booking process so darn easy! Can't wait for next year because we're coming back!
Owner response:Thanks for your feedback. As always, we are delighted that our guests make the most of their Lake Arrowhead vacations and spend lots of time creating great family memories.

We are lucky to have been able to spend a week in Lake Arrowhead at this fantastic home. It is cozy, big, practical and beautiful! The master bedroom was perfect (large, comfortable and on the main floor) for my mom and dad who treated us all to this great vacation. If you go to Arrowhead with a large group, you will not be disappointed here. The owner is very friendly and pays attention to detail. I hope we get to go back!

We have have stayed here twice with two other families and have nothing but great memories. We all have big kids and the ability to spread out and give everyone their own space is huge, even for a long weekend. We love the commercial grade kitchen and multiple rooms to watch TV or DVDs. It is a great location on the lake and the view was worthy enough for our family Christmas card this year. We really make good use of the canoe and also bring rafts to float around in the lake. Can't wait to come back for another fun summer trip.
Owner response:Thanks Doug! I am delighted to receive your reveiw and glad to hear you and your family had a great time. Please send me your Christmas picture! Merry Christmas! Bill

We just returned home from our 2nd stay at this wonderful home. We were a group of 3 families who stayed at this home in June 2008. It is hard to believe that the owner, Bill, could improve the home. He added surround sound and a new flat screen TV. The men would retreat to the game room and flat screen to watch movies some evenings. The kitchen is great and we made breakfast for 12 easily each morning. VERY well stocked kitchen full of every type of utensil needed to cook just about anything. We had a wonderful dinner (and margaritas) at Papagayo in the village and had great pizza delivered from the Cottage. We hiked, sat on the beach, played beach games, and swam in the lake daily. My favorite thing though, was waking early and having my coffee on the balcony overlooking the lake. So peaceful. This home is in a perfect spot and has amazing views. Owner always calls when we arrive to make sure everything is okay. Great guy. Thanks again for everything Bill. Rent here with peace of mind! We will be back again!

We stayed in this beautiful lakefront home for an extended weekend and had a fantastic time. This property is in a perfect spot for walking into Blue Jay, hiking around the lake to the village, rowing out to the island in the lake and so much more. The home is so spacious that our family reunion/birthday celebration for 16 people was better than anyone could have expected. The game room was awesome for the kids to play games or watch a movie. The decks are perfect for relaxing and the view of the lake is spectacular. There are many amenities included (canoe, kayak, games, dvds). The kitchen is a dream. We BBQ'd on the grill, flipped pancakes on the griddle, and set up many buffets on the large island. The bedrooms are very well appointed and all have very easy access to bathrooms. The master bedroom and in-suite bathroom is a retreat in itself. We would recommend this mountain home to anyone wanting a fantastic vacation. There is so much to do, or not to do if you want to totally relax, and this is the perfect place!
Owner response:We love to see families gathering together in our Lake Home and enjoying the beautiful mountain serenity. We also appreciate hearing about the wonderful experiences that our guests have when staying here. It is great to know that the home can be a gathering place for friends and family!

Wow, what a fantastic place. Our 3 families with young children really enjoyed the spacious 3 level home and prime lake front location. Terrific views. Very cozy fireplace and coffered ceiling in master. Each of the rooms were good sized. Kitchen has large indoor grill and griddle that made family meals really fun to prepare. The snow in Feb was nice time of year. Bill is a great host and pleasure to deal with.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful lakefront retreat with our family! We loved it last year and couldn't wait to return this year. You can't imagine our delight as we took our first stroll through our home for the holiday! We were delighted to see your upgrades, fresh paint and sparkling clean atmosphere. The photos don't tell the story. This lakefront home is far more lovely than the pictures show. The sunny skies on soft snow made perfect sledding this year and the fireplace warmed the hearts of winners and losers alike in our board games and kids crafts. The big dining room table served as our gathering place throughout the day with all of our comings and goings. That is, when we weren't hanging out in the dream kitchen. Laughter! Smiles! Embraces! Camaraderie! Joy! Exercise and exhaustion! Fun! Games! These are memories we made in your Wonderful Lake Front Retreat! Thank you for making us feel so welcome! We appreciate your hospitality and look forward to bringing our family and friends back again.

This place is fantastic. We had a family reunion here for a week and loved it. The location on the cove offers an outstanding view, and the ability to walk to the Village gave us great flexibility. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the overall home set up gave all of us lots of space to relax. Finally, the owners were very gracious, providing local tips and answers to any questions we had.

This is a perfect place for an extended family vacation! Vacation reminded me a lot of the family vacation place in the movie "Dan in Real Life". Stayed here in late June w/ my parents, my 3 sibs, and their spouses and kids. It was perfect, so many levels and bedrooms, though also nice family rooms/ gathering areas so we were able to get privacy and togetherness, plus lots to do! played family games, volleyball on sand beach, ping pong, canoed/ kayaked, fished, plus hired a local service for wakeboarding, visited local waterslide park. Beautiful view of lake from multiple balconies and bedrooms. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

What a fantastic house and beautiful location! The house is perfect for large groups - my extended family (6 adults, five kids) spent five days there recently and there was tons of room to spread out. Gorgeous view and easily accessible dock - we canoed and swam every day. Bill, the owner, is terrific and very responsive. Highly recommended.

I agree with the earlier posts. Bill is very easy to deal with, and his wonderful rental home is well worth the price. It's in the best location at Arrowhead, and our children/spouses and grandchildren, 17 in all, enjoyed every minute. We made good use of the two small boats for many trips to the island. The kids also caught several bluegill from the private pier. The kitchen, and all the rooms were first class. There was even a world championship ping-pong tournament in the basement. Everything worked. Very impressive place. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic house!!! The owner has paid attention to the little details that make a vacation home comfortable. We had a group of 8 ladies and each person raved about the house. We have been doing weekends away for 22 years and they said this is among the top places that we have stayed. The kitchen is a cook's dream, completely stocked with a built-in grill and griddle (where do you ever see that?!). All the rooms are very large and comfortable. The master bedroom is very plush and the other bedrooms are more than adequate. The view speaks for itself. It is on a quiet area of the lake with a running stream and koi pond. I watched the fish from my window, so cool! Bill, the owner, was extremely easy to deal with and very punctual and organized. I would rent this house again in a second!!

We all had such a wonderful time. We all felt like we were in another world, the view of the lake from the home is incredible. Fresh flowers. Thank You. We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner, absolutely perfect for entertaining, The kitchen was ideal for the caterer to set up in. With all the different levels, guests were able to sit where they wanted and enjoy each other. All our friends and family staying together the different levels of the rooms were perfect with plenty of space, bath rooms, their own bedrooms and living areas with each having the view of the lake.Everything we needed was there. Personally, the sheets on our bed were so soft and I know my sheet count. Comfortable beds. Even the twin size beds. The groomsmen all couldn't believe it. My husband loved the griddle, the smell of bacon, sausage, pancakes and coffee, in the morning, nothing better then having friends and family coming into kitchen with big smiles on their faces, saying it smells so good. Easy access, even walking distance from the resort and village, our boys walked back to the house after the wedding rehearsal. Even falling into lake, no worry, washer/dryer. Wedding was perfect, back at home we took out left over BBQ, and had an after wedding party, I honestly felt like I was in a Hollywood Movie, and to top it off, Our son and new daughter surprised us with knocking at the door in the morning for "Dad's great Breakfast". We can't thank you enough for the incredible venue. We are already thinking about another trip... Thanks again Bill

We have vacationed in Lake Arrowhead for the past 5 years and this is by far the best home AND location we have experienced! We had 3 families of 4 plus our parents and due to the layout of the rooms we all had our separate space. The kitchen is gourmet and the owner delightful. Fantastic time was had by all!

We had a extra large group of neighbors and kids (4 families altogether)and we had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious and the beach was amazing. It is much larger then the pictures. The beds were extremely comfortable and the home is very warm and cozy. We did bring up a BBQ and left it there so you can have two options for BBQing. Bill the owner is sooooo nice very accomadating. He will help you out with anything you need and also checks up to make sure you are happy. I would recomend this home to everyone we knew.

Our LARGE group (7 Adults + 7 Teenagers + 1 dog) spent 3 nights at Lake Front Dream and had a wonderful time. Lots of things to do: canoe, hike, swim, or just kick back on the 2 great decks. Just a couple of things though: NO ping-pong table as noted and NO outdoor BBQ. Also, bring your own bar soap and hand soap as none is provided. Otherwise we all had a great time and would DEFINETLY recommed staying in this great lake front house!
Owner response:Ping Pong Table is in the basement. We have an indoor Bar-B-Que which makes it easier to cook where the food is. We have corrected the soap, hand soap comments.

Our family of 4 and 2 other families of 4 each, stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days and had an absolute blast! The house is so spacious and we had more than enough room. The beach is much bigger than it looks in the picture, it was sunny all day, and we loved the canoe! We went out to eat, we cooked in the kitchen, sat out on the decks, had happy hour at the bar in the game room, and watched the US Open in the living room. Lots of stairs, so not for the faint hearted. Great location- close to townand restaurants, Jensen's market (Starbucks), and walking trails around the lake. We would love to go back!!

We spent Mother's Day weekend at your wonderful home to celebrate our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We had a house full of family members and had a fantastic time. Your view of the lake is beautiful and the accomodations were wonderful. We loved your commercial griddle and grill as many of us love to cook. Thanks for allowing us to share your home. God Bless!
