We rented this villa for a little over a week in late November. We've booked many properties through VRBO in Latin America, Europe and several locations in the US, and this was probably our least favorite home. First of all, the manaagement company "forgot" to turn on the pool heat until after we arrived, so it was pretty much unusable for the duration of our stay. We had kids (who are used to swimming in the brisk waters of Cape Cod), and it was too cold even for them. This was a pretty big disappointment for all of us, and the management company only refunded us 20% of the fee we had pre-paid for the pool heat. The neighborhood is not spectacular. Naples Park is sort of hit and miss, and we generally felt pretty safe in this location, but this home is obviously nicer than a lot of the other homes on the street. The home is only several doors down from Route 41 (a major highway), and you can hear the din of traffic at night. We didn't mind too much, but this is the type of thing that could bother some people. The home itself was okay. The decor left a bit to be desired (we had some friends visit, and they described it as "baffling"), but it wasn't a big deal, not too unpleasant, and overall the furniture was functional for a vacation home. The kitchen was adequately stocked with tools, coffee maker, etc. I had to go out and buy a few things (including a frying pan because the ones provided were so mangled and had teflon flaking off.) but it wasn't a huge deal. The place had been cleaned, but it was not sparkling. They might consider looking for a new cleaning company. After a few minutes walking around on the tiles, our white socks were dark brown in color, and you could see the grime caked on in the corners. But I guess this probably wouldn't bother most people. We were probably more sensitive because we had small kids playing on the dirty floor, so it was just kind of gross. There were a few ants that appeared sporadically on the kitchen counters throughout our stay, so we just kept all our food in the fridge. All in all, we loved Naples and will probably return, but not to this place. There are tons of places to rent in Florida these days, so why settle for someplace that's simply ok?

Es war mein erster Aufenthalt in Neapel und ich habe in diesem schoenen Haus gewohnt. Ich war total begeistert. Bei dem niedrigen Preis, habe ich wirklich nicht erwartet, dass das Haus so schoen eingerichtet war. Der Poolbereich war so entspannend und was besonders bequem ist - die voll eingerichtete Kueche. Das bedeutet, dass man die Moeglichkeit hat verschiedene Mahlzeiten zu kochen ohne dass irgendwelche Utensilien fehlen.
