Aloha, and welcome to our little part of Paradise on the Emerald Isle of Maui. Maui has been voted the best island resort in the world by travel associations for years. And Maui Kai, this Resort Condominiums has been designated as a Hidden Gem by the local rating organization "Maui Revealed" because of its location, quality, atmosphere, and a smaller, friendly facility. There are differences in quality at the Maui Kai, so see what you are getting for your money.

You will come to Kaanapali, North of the old whalers village called Lahaina Town, listed in all the literature as Maui's best area, and we are the Northern most property in that best location in Maui. That means that you are right on the ocean. You can open your windows, look and listen to the waves some 25 ft. from shore edge. Or you can go directly out onto the beach in a minute. You are closer to the water than any property in the state. Look at the furnishings and amenities of our condominium, which are among the very best at Maui Kai. There is a very complete kitchen for feeding six with gourmet meals and the kitchen items and tools to do it. This unit had a major renovation in 2007 and an addition in 2008.

This Maui Kai one bedroom is a real gem. Beautifully appointed with a luxurious queen sized bed in the bedroom with an entertainment center. Located on the ground floor you have easy access from the parking lot, and steps right in front of it to the beach, which has a CODE lockable lanai (YOU DO NOT CARRY KEYS! Located on the North side of the Maui Kai Resort, we sit directly above the most popular place on the beach between the Maui Kai and the adjacent resort. You can swim, snorkel, boogie board, fish, suntan, whale watch, walk and run for miles right from your doorstep. You'll also love the ocean activities that pass by your view all day long. Watch the fishing, snorkeling, and scuba boats in the morning as they head out for the day. Enjoy paddlers of traditional Hawaiian outriggers paddle right by your lanai. We've recently had rare Hawaiian Monk Seals stop for the day right outside our lanai and during whale season it's hard to imagine there is a better show anywhere on Maui.

Feel the trade winds, the sounds of the ocean, and the solitude of our beaches when you are in the Maui Kai. We try our best to make it as a "Home Away from Home" with very full kitchens, outstanding newly updated furnishings, and ambiance for our guests. It is our home as well.

Why the Owner Chose Maui Kai

We chose to buy here after staying at one of our extended family's units here at the Maui Kai in 1974. We then waited for one to become available. This was the first high rise on the island. It has the closest to the beach property in Hawaii where we can listen to the waves, have a very quiet place unlike the hotel or very large resort condo properties, and be at the center to all the things that go on in Western Maui on a property that is well kept up.

You have direct beach contact just out of this unit, can sit on your lanai unobstructed to see the sunsets, listen to the waves if you wish, and can have the smaller property advantages of quiet at night as well as meet people you will see here that come back year after year because of the advantages of Maui Kai. Maui Kai is rated as a Hidden Golden Gem in the rating book "Maui Revealed" that rates all properties on Maui. And we are very highly rated. Lastly we can and do have our own decor which allows us to follow our own tastes and not be a motel/hotel type of setting. We are unique on the island. See what you get here. Our immediate family has owned this condo since 1977, and it has been our home away from home for that period. We are now from Woodinville, WA, and our immediate family owns both 108 and 206 here.

Our family's business directions have been from the electronic manufacturer's businesses in Silicon Valley and other places.
