Kaanapali, North of the old whalers village called Lahaina Town, is listed in all the literature as Maui's best area, and we are the Northern most Kaanapali property in that best location in Maui. That means that you are right on the ocean, and the closest property to the ocean in all Hawaii. You can open your windows, look and listen to the waves some 19 ft. from shore edge. Or you can go directly out onto the beach in a minute out our lanai door. Look at the furnishings and amenities of our condominium, which are again among the very best at Maui Kai. There is a very complete kitchen for feeding six with gourmet meals and the kitchen items and tools to do it. This unit had a recent very major renovation.
Beautifully appointed with a luxurious queen sized bed in the bedroom with an entertainment center. Located on the ground floor, with our exclusive lanai door to the beach in #108, you have easy access from the parking lot, and steps right in front of it to the beach, which has a CODE lockable lanai (YOU DO NOT CARRY KEYS!) You can swim, snorkel, boogie board, fish, suntan, whale watch, walk and run for miles right from your doorstep. You can relax watch the fishing, snorkeling, and scuba boats in the morning as they head out for the day. Enjoy paddlers of traditional Hawaiian outriggers paddle right by your lanai. We have rare Hawaiian Monk Seals stop for the day right outside our lanai at times and during whale season it's hard to imagine there is a better show anywhere on Maui.
Feel the trade winds, the sounds of the ocean, and the tranquility of our beaches when you are in our Maui Kai condominium 108. The world goes away except for the ocean and islands in front of you along with the beach by you out your lanai. We try our best to make it as a "Home Away from Home" with very complete kitchens, newly updated furnishings, and peaceful ambiance for our guests. It is our home as well.

Why the Owner Chose Maui Kai
We chose to buy here after staying at one of our extended family's units here at the Maui Kai in 1974. We then waited for one to become available. This was the first high rise on the island. It is the closest beach property in Hawaii where we can listen to the waves, have a very quiet place, and be at the center to all the things that go on in Western Maui.

You have direct beach access just out of the lanai or you can sit on your lanai for beautiful unobstructed sunsets, listen to the waves if you wish, and have the smaller property advantages of quiet at night as well as meeting people you will see here that come back year after year because of the advantages of Maui Kai. Maui Kai is rated as a Hidden Golden Gem in "Maui Revealed" that rates properties on Maui. Lastly we can and do have our own decor which allows us to follow our own tastes and not be a commerical type of setting. We are a boutique property on Maui. Our immediate family has owned this condo since 1977, and it has been our home away from home for that period. We are now from Woodinville, WA, and our immediate family owns both 108 and 206 here.
Our family's business directions have been from the electronic manufacturer's businesses in Silicon Valley and other places. We also are small developers of upscale homes on the island at times.

The condo is even better than the pictures. we will be staying here on our next vacation to Maui. When we arrived there was a beautiful basket of fruit and candy to welcome us. It was lovely touch. But the VIEW was the best part, it was just breathtaking, I can still see the ocean in my minds eye as I write. To wake up to that view was amazing. You just open the door and you are on the beach! The resort next door was a nice place to go for morning coffee or breakfast and dinner. We would stop there in the morning before our walk on the beach. The was perfect and thee was a book filled with information about the area, places to eat, where to get groceries, entertainment, just everything you would need to get around. We will never forget our visit, your condo (108) made our vacation perfect."

FLIPKEY VERIFIED: 5 Star: "We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Maui Kai 108!! It was our first time staying on the West Side[of Maui]; normally we stay in Kihei or the North Shore [Paia]. It was so nice to be close to Lahaina and Kaanapali. The condo was clean, well stocked, and the gift basket was a really nice touch. It was great to be able to open the door to our lanai and walk literally five steps until sand hit our toes! And having the clean water faucet right outside our door was nice what with two toddlers and their sandy limbs and beach toys. Since we were so close to the water, we saw probably 10-15 whale breaches a day right from our condo lanai--It was just amazing!! Only negative, and it is very, very slight, is that the beach outside the condo had a pretty strong shore break and undertow. It might have been just the time of year we went there. (It is).--but it was strong enough that we did not go swimming outside our condo--and instead drove to other nearby beaches to our swimming. Other than that we had a fabulous time and we hope to return again soon!!

FLIPKEY VERIFIED: 5 Star: "My husband, my 2 teens, and I stayed here in August and loved it. From condo 108 you can walk right out onto the building's deck and down to the beach. The beach is right there! Spectacular view which includes Molokai (and Lanai). I especially enjoyed the views from the kitchen while working. The condo was well furnished and clean with a great breeze throughout, barely using the A/C. The staff at the Maui Kai was very helpful and also at the maid service. [Called for extra towels] Ample close parking. The kids enjoyed the pool. The rental process was simple and smooth. We received our deposit back before we'd returned home."

I really felt as though I was taking a giant gamble, as I knew nothing about Maui. I can't tell you how lucky I felt that I chose the Maui Kai, in particular condo 108. That it was right on the beach provided so much ease for us--my daughter woke us each day saying, "Ocean, ocean." We met lovely families who were staying in the area, and it was just perfectly located for the slow beach days we craved. The condo itself is lovely and comfortable, and the kitchen is ridiculously well stocked with any bowl, utensil, or pot you could want. It enabled us to have tremendous freedoms in our day. I would recommend the condo to anyone--It was perfect and we loved our stay."

FLIPKEY Verified. "We loved our stay in unit 108 at the Maui Kai. It was beautifully equipped with everything we ever needed. We could find just a few things lacking--an updated toaster, additional soap, and a few wine glasses.(20+ in DR glass case). The direct access to the beach was wonderful. Just being able to walk out 25 steps to the sand was the best experience of them all. The location of the condos was excellent being down on the beach from the busyness of the main stretch of the hotels and activities. The owner information told us about the best guidebook ever, "Maui Revealed". We never left our room without it. We'd return here in a heartbeat.
