This is our second stay and we would definately come again. The beds are super comfy with great linens. Short walk to downtown and nearly across the street from Pioneer Park. We stayed with two young kids and it worked great.

We enjoyed a perfect 5 days of comfort at the Stone Compass! The house had all the amenities... comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, and convenient access to Downtown Walla Walla. We enjoyed our time immensely! The house is kept in immaculate condition, and all of the various booklets were packed with helpful restaurant/winery info. The perfect home base to explore all that the Walla Walla Valley has to offer!

My husband and I stayed at Stone Compass with our in-laws this fall. We were lucky to have wonderful weather, and so were a little disappointed that the house is located on a very busy street. Sitting outside on the furniture with a morning coffee was a treat - except for the constant hum of traffic. We were also incredibly surprised by the state of the beds. Nice linens, but the pillow-top mattresses have seen a few too many guests. I honestly have never slept worse. And recommend confirming that something has been done regarding new beds if you are planning a visit. Otherwise, the house is very lovely - super clean and well-maintained. Just time for new mattresses!

What a wonderful time we had at the Stone Compass. There were 7 of us and this house was perfect for us. It was a beautiful home inside and out. What a treat that we did not have to clean the home and strip the bed linens. We loved that we are told in print not to clean the home before leaving. Also there were amenities for us from paper towels to spices. Would choose this home again.

You won't be sorry if you choose to rent this home for your next Walla Walla getaway. It is in a nice, well established neighborhood. It has been totally transformed with a very tasteful remodel. The result is a warm and inviting, open floor plan. The materials and finishes are all high quality. The home has been decorated to be beautiful but also comfortable and homey. The hosts have thought of everything. The beds and bedding are luxurious, the towels are soft and fluffy, the kitchen has all the gadgets including a Kitchenaid stand mixer and a food processor! Tami thoughtfully provides a list of all the items in the home so you will know if you need to bring anything along if you intend to cook there. We've rented through VRBO before and this is the first home that included thoughful items like saran wrap, basic spices and laundry detergent. Our only problem in the kitchen was finding cabinet space to put any food because the cupboards were full! The description says that the home is not childproofed and it isn't, but we didn't have any problem. We had our two-year old granddaughter with us and it was easy to put the few things that she was attracted to up on higher shelves to keep them out of harms way. There is a cabinet in the corner that has doors that close and lock so that was a very convenient spot to put things away. It was great to be able to bring along our two dogs and Tami doesn't forget them in her preparations. She has included two two-bowl dog dishes and plastic bags to clean up after the dogs. We were in town to spend Christmas with family in the valley so we didn't get a chance to experience any of the outdoor amenities. The home is on a corner lot and there is a nice paved area at the back that would make a lovely outdoor seating area. It is a bit hard to tell from the pictures though that the back yard if fenced on two sides and open to the side street on the third side. The home is on the corner of a fairly busy street but the parking and entry is on the quiet side street and we heard almost no street noise from inside the house. Tami is great to work with she manages this vacation rental very professionally. The home was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family.

Stone Compass was perfectly located near downtown and the Whitman - with lots of parks. Everything was exceptionally clean and oh so many fine touches; from the amazing beds to all the amenities like toiletries, hair dryer and kitchen needs. It was easy working with Tami and organizing the trip and everything was just as it should be - uneventful! Black Tie Limo knows the house so they found easily for our wine tour. The only thing I would recommend is little dressers for the bedrooms. Beautiful, beautiful home!

Tami - I'm not sure I can find the words to state how pleased we were with the Stone Compass this past weekend! Amazing and incredible seem so lacking!! The obvious care and attention you took in remodeling this house is fantastic. We were incredibly comfortable and relaxed the entire time we were there and left wishing that we had more time... The house is perfectly positioned at a central place between the Airport and Southend wineries to be able to conveniently drop off purchases between the two... It would be a bit of a walk to get downtown and worse to have to haul purchases back on foot but the drive is super easy and parking even in downtown is pretty simple. We will definitely be back!!

Stone Compass was amazing! I celebrated my 50th birthday in Walla Walla and Stone Compass was the perfect choice. Being close to downtown, it's only a short drive to some great restaurants. Whitehouse Crawford and Saffron were exceptional with service and food. Also visited some fabulous wineries; Balboa, Beresan, Dunham, L'Ecole & Sleight of Hand to name a few. The house was spotless and Tami has taken into consideration every detail to make her guests stay comfortable and enjoyable. She was wonderful to work with. My vote? 10 out of 10! Well done, Tami!

This is a lovely home near downtown that had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. There were 3 couples whose primary focus was wine tasting and then coming back to the house to relax and BBQ. The kitchen was fully stocked and looked brand new...the whole house looked and felt brand new for that matter. We will definately want to stay here again on our next trip to the wine country.

We stayed at Stone Compass with our two young kids (4.5 and 2). My kids loved it so much they called it "our new house" It was quite charming and felt just like home. It's important for us to have space to ourselves when we stay out of town and this was perfect. We weren't there for the wineries, but the annual hot air balloon launch. It was great. We loved looking at the historical houses of the neighborhood (tour brochure provided). The accommodations and cleanliness couldn't have been better. Thanks!

Being this was our first experiece using vacation rentals we were not sure what to expect and were not disappointed. We had an fantastic time during our long weekend in Walla Walla. The house was even more than we anticiapted. From the time we drove up to the time we drove away we felt special. We were just wishing the weather would have been a little more cooperative so we could spend time out on the patio. The only problem that we had was when we went to one of the brew/pubs and they were out of 5 of their 9 house beers (and this was a Friday). We are already starting to talk about our next road trip and looking to see was is available. Thank yo Tami for making this whole experience one that none of us will ever forget.

Three couples met up at this wonderful home in the Walla Walla Wine Areas. We relaxed at this centrally located home. It was very clean, modern and had all the amenities of home. We loved the fact that we were so close to the wineries and the downtown area and yet could sit in the patio area and listen to the birds. We highly recommend this home for a vacation spot.

Four of us stayed at the the Stone Compass during our wine-tasting weekend in early October. The accommodations were wonderful - better than we expected for the price- and the weekend was a blast. First of the all, the house looks and feels brand new, furnished in warm colors with comfortable couches and beds. There is free Wi-Fi and cable for down-time. In each bathroom, the owner, Tami Jones, supplies a guest-basket full of shampoo, conditioner, and other personal-care products. The kitchen has coffee for the morning. Tami Jones also has connections with a wonderful winery on the outskirts of town. Trust me, if you want a wonderful tour experience, follow her advise. Cheers!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beautiful Stone Compass. It was evident that so much loving care went into creating this home (completely re-built) and into making it welcoming and exceedingly comfortable and clean. The kitchen is incredible - completely outfitted. Truly a special place - in a vibrant town - in a fertile valley. This would be a nice place to stay anytime. We plan to be back. Thank you!

"Ocho Bellas" had an amazing time at Stone Compass!! We loved the decor and all the amenities!! We made jewelry at the dining room table, and it was just the right size for the 8 of us. We have been traveling together for over 20 years, and Stone Compass was one of the nicest places that we have stayed!! We loved it and Walla Walla and will be back again!!
