Everything you may want and need while on vacation is here in this condo! It truly is a home away from home! Was quiet and peaceful. Nice neighbors that are courteous and friendly! Clean and well maintained. The owner Terri is quick to answer any questions you may have regarding your stay. Utilized the boogie boards and the cooler in the condo and walked to the beach in less that 3 minutes! Can't get any better than this! Spent a couple of nights at the bar Fred's next door, what a fun place! I will definitely be reserving my next trip at this condo! Thanks Terri!

We had a great stay at the condo. Everything needed was available, loved the first floor location, closest condo to the pool and BBQ. Walking distance to many great places to eat, beaches and shaved ice (very important to the kids). Great communcation from the owner in regards to anything and everything. Condo was clean and photos showed it exactly as it was. If anything, it was a little bigger than I thought it would be. The bedroom and living room are nicely separated which was nice for having an "extra" bedroom. I will definitely use the condo again next year!

We had a fantastic time! With two teenage sons this location, on the ground level across from the pool, couldn't have been better. The place was perfect since the boys could safely tour the area on their longboards, play tennis, swim and be home to barbeque by the pool. All the comforts of home - towels, chairs, books, games, guides - created a holiday that was relaxing, memorable and fun. Twelve days was way too short. The owners were unbelievable, providing all the information we could ever need both before and during our stay. Everyone, at the Kihei Akahi, were so friendly and helpful too. Thank you and we look forward to next time. PS If you do the Hana road trip you may want to take two days and stay overnight in Hana so you can 'see' it all at a leisurely pace. We became whale lovers - what a show they put on - and shorkeling, sunsets, and standup paddling/surfing was superb. Too many things to do and not enough time to do it all.

Fantastic Location and Beautiful Suite!

We travelled to Maui for a friends wedding and as she had stayed at Kihei Akahi before she recommended them to us. Boy are we glad we listened!! This complex is in a PERFECT location for all areas of Maui! Super close to Kamaole 2 beach which is a fantastic family beach and has all amenities. Also within walking distance to some great restaurants, grocery type stores and rental places for snorkel gear or paddle/surf boards! The suite itself was fantastic as well. All of our friends stopped by during our stay and every single one commented on how nice our place was and that is was way nicer than theirs! The laminate floors were a dream to clean up for all the sand that we accidently dragged in and the decor was very relaxing and comfortable. The ground floor location and extremely close proximity to the pool and BBQ's was so fantastic too - Our 3 year old loved waking up, running outside and chasing the birds across the lawn - Very handy for an active child. Closeness to the BBQ's was fantastic too, it meant we didn't have to lug a bunch of dinner stuff down the stairs and to the pool - We could just wander over and back to our place to get whatever we needed. Could not have asked for a better location! Amenities in the condo were awesome too - Definitely used the blender and recipe book a few times and the big screen TV was perfect for winding down at night before bed. The linens and all the extras supplied in the condo were so welcome for our trips around the island and to the beach and we didn't have to buy anything while we were there- We literally packed our clothes, bought some groceries and were set for the 10 days. Terri was fantastic to deal with as a "landlord" too - She was very accommodating with our need for a late check out and she was very polite and helpful with any questions we had. The only downside to this location however, is the fact that some of the "locals" or long term elderly residents are extremely grumpy and often complain about very trivial things (like a 3 year old playing with a ball in the grass - apparently "ball sports" are not allowed in the grassy areas) and it is an extremely quiet complex - No laughing or talking above a quiet conversation was allowed even at 7:30pm in the BBQ area or they would complain - A bit of a pain in the butt for a large group there for a wedding. That was our only complaint though - Other than that - AMAZING- Would definitely recommend this place and will be going again as soon as we can!

I am sorry to hear about our neighbors, and very surprised. This is the first I have heard of any complaints.You are allowed to use the pool area until 9:00 pm, including talking and playing in the pool. The noise level has never been an issue. This was our first time staying at this condo/complex. We had a reservation at another condo that fell through for our first 3 days so were very fortunate to have found this condo. Our stay was short and sweet. Everything you could possibly need is here. The gardens are beautiful and you are at the back of the property so it is quiet. I found it very relaxing to sit on the lanai to read, watch the birds and geckos, smell the flowers and enjoy the warmth. The beach is a few minutes walk away. If you like the pool then you are nice and close to it also the bbq area. This really is situated in a fantastic area of Kihei. Thank you Terri for sharing your piece of paradise!

Unless you absolutely need an ocean view, this is the place to stay. Great spot, fabulous garden view and 30 feet to the pool. Nice location in the middle of Kihei. Highly recommended. Will use it again.

Great location, convenient and condo has a lot of extras, such as coolers, boogie boards, etc. The A/C was out when we got there, the owners were very quick to have another one put it, I couldn't ask for nicer owners. Free internet was great, as well as the washer & dryer. The only thing I would add is a comfortable chair, I was tempted to buy a leather recliner from craigslist. LOVE LOVE LOVE Maui!!! Still our favorite island and always will be. Thanks Terri!!!

First trip to Maui

Ths was my partner and I's fist trip to Maui. This condo was absolutely perfect. Kammole 2 beach is right across the street, very quiet and perfect for those lazy days. Big beach is a 10minute drive down the road- excellent for boogieboarding. Freds right next door- very good food! and excellent margaritas. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance or a short car ride away. we will be staying here again in the near future.

The Kihei Akahi My husband and I arrived in Maui – our first time back there in many years – and were eager to see what our accomodation, booked over the internet, would be like. The setting was impressive – beautifully kept grounds surrounded us as we eased the car into our numbered spot. Our condo was bright and airy. Sunny yellow and soft blue walls echoed the sunshine outdoors, the floors were light wood and the furniture was comfortable. The fully stocked kitchen was small, but efficient, with lots of dishes and utensils available. An enticing cookbook sat on the counter, for anyone so inclined to whip up delicious Hawaiian treats. The full-sized gas stove was very efficient, and the dishwasher made cleaning up easy. The washer and dryer in the unit was a very welcome bonus! With three adult family members, plus a baby, next door, we had a few meals, “at home” together, and found that our table and chairs were perfect for the occasions. A large king sized bed promised a good night’s sleep, after a busy day in the sun and surf! The cupboards were stocked with clean linens and towels, as well as picnic hampers and other beach accessories, and even included a baby stroller. A short walk led to the beautiful beach, with all the sand and surf anyone could want! We enjoyed the large screen TV in the evenings, especially the Maui channel, which showed all the wonderful things Maui has to offer the visitors. We also noticed there was a computer cable hook-up available at no charge. We could step out our front door and across the grass to the gated swimming pool, an area which held two large barbeques and lots of lounge chairs It is very apparent that the owners of this condo are proud of their vacation home, and want others to feel the same. We just spent 10 delightful days at this condo (wish it had been longer!). It was clean, confortable and convenient to surrounding attractions. Have already recommended it to our daughter, and some friends.. The decor had the perfect Hawaian feel, and the surrounding property was beautifully maintained, with a grassy area and lovely trees - all convenient to the well-kept swimming pool. Two barbeques were available so, no line-ups! The beautiful Wailea area is close by - Wailea Golf Club's restaurant is excellent. Plenty of other restaurants close by as well as food markets and a deli. Dining in also a pleasure with the condo's fully equipped kitchen. The owners have provided plenty of informatioin and equipment, in the condo, to make your holiday a great experience!

Terri and Gary's Maui condo is great. It was everything we hoped for. It is well equipped, and nicely decorated. Being on the ground floor means having a "rear entrance" with very quick access to the pool/BBQ area. Did you forget the BBQ sauce, need another drink, snack?, the condo is steps away, VERY handy. Being in building D it is far enough away from South Kihei Road to make it very a quiet location, a little longer walk to the beach, but worth it. Kamaole Beach #2 is a great beach, if you don't feel like going far, otherwise there are many beaches within a 10-15 minute drive offering a wide selection of adventure. There are many good restaurants and shops close by, perfect for an evening walk. The grounds of the complex are well kept and offer a variety of tropical flowers, just imagine "Birds of Paradise" bushes....... yes bushes!!! You don't get that where we come from. We made Terri and Gary's condo our Maui home for the first time recently, and given how happy we were, we hope to do so again. Hopefully sooner than later!!!

This was our 2nd trip to Maui and our 1st staying at Terri & Gary's condo. It met or exceeded all our excpectations. The location was perfect, lots of restaurants, bars & shops within walking distance. The beach nice and close but the best feature was being able to walk off the lanai right to the pool & BBQ. I felt for people that had to walk all the way around the building to get to the pool. The condo was very well outfitted for cooking and playing. Terri & Gary where very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. I will be recommending their place to friends & family going to Maui.

Another great holiday in Maui

We stayed at Terri & Garys condo for a month Feb 15 to March 12 ,We like this part of the island and return yearly.The complex is well situated with three beachs right in front of it.The condo was clean and nicely decorated ,with all the conveniences you need,the pool is steps from your door,making it great for relaxing or enjoying a BBQ lunch or supper,the grounds are nicely kept with lawn right outside the door .There are stores and restaurants very close by,there are sidewalks or beachs to walk on making it easy to get around.If you enjoy touring you probably need a car ,but if you like to stay close to home you could probably get away without one,there is public transit nearby.In season you can get kayaks close by (5 palms) and get fantastic whale shows .

We have just returned from 17 nights at Terri and Gary's place. The location in the complex is ideal for immediate access to the pool and the BBQ area as the unit opens right onto the grassy area. Terri and Gerri have provided everything you need for your vacation including beach chairs, beach towels, sun umbrellas, and snorkel gear. The appliances in the kitchen are brand new and the living room is spacious enough to entertain easily. For those who like to sleep in (and soundly) the bedroom is quite dark and quiet. We had a great time!

We stayed here for a week with our baby and were very very happy with it. The unit was clean, spacious, close to everything. We rented a car but could have kept busy with the beaches right there. New appliances. And even though the complex seemed full while we were there, and there were people above and beside us, we never heard them at all. There was a nice flat-screen tv with cable, but we didn't watch it much. A fancy new gas stove, new fridge, a dishwasher. Storage containers for your leftovers if you cook at home, all the dishes and cooking needs (like cookie sheets for when you just have to bake cookies......). :-) Air conditioning in the living room, fan in the bedroom. The pool is right outside your sliding door (which has it's own lock so you can still feel safe leaving that way). Barbeques by the pools, and a couple of pools to choose from. Furniture outside so you can eat your meals outside. And the unit had everything you'd need so you don't need to pack it: sand buckets & shovels, beach chairs, boogie boards, bags, umbrella stroller, cooler, and lots more. Maui had so much more to offer than we ever realized! We are planning to return and will stay here again.

I was incredibly happy with my stay at Terri and Gary's condo the first time I visited, and this second visit surpassed my first. There have been so many upgrades to the home that added to the convenience and atmosphere. The hardwood floors were great - no more messes after returning from the beach! I enjoyed all of the thoughtfully provided creature comforts as well - so nice to have all the kitchen gadgets, DVDs, and free internet. I have told my friends and family about this wonderful home. My husband and I are comforted in knowing that we have a great place to stay when we visit Maui in the future (which hopefully is never too far away). We found the unit via VRBO and the owners were prompt with information and helpful with directions and ideas about what to do and see on Maui. The unit is clean, bright, and well furnished, including beach furniture, beach toys, etc. We very much appreciated the new appliances, and particularly the ensuite laundry facilities. The location is on the ground floor but we chose it for that reason, as it is about 25 steps to the pool and the bbqs which we used every evening. The location across from Kamaole Beach Park II is perfect! Kihei's stores are nearby. We rented a used vehicle from Maui Car Rentals, great service and a good auto. We used the DVD player nightly. All in all Terri and Gary offer a great place and we recommend this to anyone looking for a great location and a rreasonable price. We found three hidden beaches and left directions for them in the Guest Book.

Great location on the island you are close to many coveted destinations. The washer and dryer were a godsend for those who want to pack less and have room for your sports equipment or gifts to take home. Recommend you hit Costco on your way to the condo and stock up. Very clean and comfortable. Definately made my trip to Maui memorable for all the right reasons and plan on coming back for sure!

I am so glad we sorted through all of the listings and chose your condo. It is in a fantastic location - we walked down to the beach every night to watch the sunset. We will be staying here on every return trip and can't wait to go back. The resort hostess was more than helpful and was able to help plan our trip while we were there. Thank you for such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. This truly was a home away from home. With all of the creature comforts you provide, it was so easy to unwind and enjoy all that the island has to offer. Your condo was the best location in the complex; it was right next to the pool, yet so private and secluded that we felt as if we were in a private house. We cannot wait to come back and stay at your lovely condo. The location was unbelievable, we walked everywhere, the beach and the restaurants were so close. Your pictures do not do it justice; we could not have enjoyed the place more. Thank you again.
