We’ll definitely be back. Since we travel the carib often we’re clued into the flight issues, it was almost funny watching some of the tourist get alittle “wild” with that issue, you would have thought they were headed to their most important business trip ever instead of vacation. I’m guessing most of your guests are “seasoned”, so its probably not a big deal. You and the staff you’ve brought together are great…we’d never know its only the 2nd year. And we definitely think you’ve achieve the goal of “up-scale property at an off the beaten track location”. It was exactly what we hoped it would be. …and believe me I was fine with slow internet and a blackberry that didn’t work, if you know what I mean….I was on vacation!!! ;-) We’ll get the shirt in the mail this week . Again thanks for a lovely vacation, We’re spreading the word about the joys of Carolina Cottage and Saba. Linda

May 22, 2008 – May 30, 2008 Christine and Bill – California, USA I write this while swinging in the hammock!! What a great stay in Saba! Favorite dive sites: Man of War Shoals, Tent Wall, Tent Reef Red, Third Encounter (nurse and reef sharks, turtles, rays, lobsters, spotted drum, and the shape of the volcanic reef) – all were great!! Be sure to read the “Saban Cottages and Folk Remedies”, and “Eye on St. Marteen, Statia and Saba”. The history of what it took to live on this island, build roads, and build the airport is really fantastic. Enjoyed the tide pool below the airport – make sure you check out both the left and right sides. P.S. Thanks for having frosted mugs in the freezer and beer in the fridge. The beds and towels were really comfortable!! Check out the Basilica paintings at the Sacred Heart Church in the Bottom – the prettiest I’ve seen and incorporates the whole island. Helen Cornet painted it.

Jan. 25 – Feb. 1, 2009 Harvey and Gail Wilson, NC “Carolina Cottage is where dreams really do come true!” As I sit here on the terrace this morning recollecting our stay on Saba, we will always cherish the memory of the hospitality of the Sabans, great food, and the scenery of the “unspoiled island”. Our own chef, Maricelli came to the cottage and prepared a delicious dinner of grouper and lobster!!! The fish sandwich at Scout’s Place was a favorite for lunch and the mango smoothie at the Snack Shop was incredible. Hiking the Sandy Cruz Trail prepared us for Mt. Scenery…a challenge but we made it to the top. The view from your pool at dusk is awesome!!! All in all a wonderful stay and we are looking forward to returning again soon.

Hi Kathy – Well I am back in the swing of work and graduate school now and mentally planning our return to Saba. We all had a grand time – your house is perfect for a relaxing get away. Leopoldo was charming and helpful, a bit of a clinch with the car rental but he diligently worked at getting us one. He arranged Junie to cook dinner fI think I would try flying next time – the Dawn II while an interesting experience I don’t feel the need to repeat it. Do you all fly over or motor over? Thanks for making your house available to rent – much better than a hotel. Allyn Streeter

Hi Kathy, Everything is great at the Cottage and in Saba! We were tired Sunday after a full day of travel from Raleigh but walked down to the Queens Garden which was a culinary delight - we literally had the place to ourselves. We've been to Scout's, Swinging Doors and In Two Deep already and plan to try and experience as many dining establishments as we can before we leave! (We're going to post a Saba blog with as much information as we can to help our fellow travelers). Even in our short time here, everyone has been very hospitable and we look forward to doing some hiking and meeting more of the island's personalities in the days to come. Cheers, Eric (and Jennifer)

Hi Kathy, After three nights in St. Barths at the Christopher in Pointe Milou, we are loving the blissful retreat at your home in Saba. With our daughters in tow, we have adventured to most of the small villages and sampled some of the islands restaurants. Today we hiked the Bottom Mountain trail to the Ecolodge for lunch, and then through Windwardside to Jo Bean's glass gallery in Booby Hill. All of the locals, including the visiting divers, sailors and hikers, have been especially friendly. We recognize a number of folks already, able to wave and say hello as we pass them along the way (in town or at the grocery store). Tomorrow we wil attemp the climb to Mount Scenery! Leopoldo was very welcoming, and we were most appreciative of his house tour and instructions. We used your car on Tuesday. And, will likely use it again on Thursday. Billy has been driving us at other times, and will take us to the airport on Friday. Is an 11:00 departure from the home OK? Are there any special instructions? Should we write a check for the use of the car and leave it for Leopoldo, or would you prefer that we mail you the car rental payment over the weekend when we are back in Annapolis? Thank you so much. Our stay has been unforgettable. Leslie Sent from my iPhone
