We are located in the quaint harbor village of Maalaea just a 20 minutes from Lahaina Towne and just far enough away from all the crowds. Maalaea Banyans is a quiet low rise condominium that sits directly oceanfront overlooking the harbor that is the passageway for many yachts, catamarans, fish boats and of course our beloved part time resident Humpback Whales. During whale season (November-May) we have the distinct reputation as one of the most active locations for whale sightings. You can sit back and relax in the privacy of your own oceanfront lanai and be entertained by these magnificent creatures for hours. Otherwise you can just soak up the miles and miles of oceanfront views and watch as the sailboats cruise in and out of the Maalaea Marina. On most days you can even see Haleakala and of course the majestic West Maui Mountains or of course the rainbows that are just one of the many dependable spectacles that we try not to take for granted. Yes we love sitting out on our lanai and relaxing ....makes it very hard to leave! The swimming pool and barbeque area are both located directly oceanfront so you never have to compromise our incredible view. the beach is an easy 5 minute stroll from our door and it's absolutely incredible. A white soft sandy beach that stretches for miles and miles with aqua green water that just beckons you! Don't forget to bring your snorkel gear! We furnished our home for comfort and practicality to accommodate up to 4 people. We have a fully appliance kitchen complete with washer and dryer for added convenience. If you don't feel like cooking take a short stroll over to the Maui Ocean Center and choose from the many wonderful restaurants. Or for a very special evening be sure to visit our favorite the Waterfront Restaurant it's simply the best! You'll find something for everyone at the Maui Ocean Center. If you're travelling with children they'll love the Maui Golf and Water Park that features miniature golf, the Extreme Trampoline and Rock Climbing experience and of course the best of all their water bumper boat rides that is really great fun for the whole family. Be sure to make time for the Aquarium, which is the featured attraction at the ocean center...it's a great family treat!
