Calafia Getaway is a a condo situated 5-10 minutes south of Rosarito in Northern Baja Mexico. It is located on the 8th floor (unit 803) of Tower II of the Calafia Condos. This unit was brand new as of August, 2007. Once you cross the border into Baja from San Diego, it’s only a 35 minute drive to this coastal getaway. Visit the local wineries, play golf at one of the nearby golf courses, tour Baja Studios (formerly Fox Studios Baja), or shop and eat in the nearby towns of Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. The condo property includes a semi-private secluded beach, a pool, several spa/Jacuzzis, exercise equipment and a tennis court inside a 24 hour guarded and gated community.

But let's cut to the chase. Your time is valuable. I could go on and on here about the tremendous views (they are), great climate (it is), and wonderful restaurants (they are), but you already know all that. The question you're asking yourself is why should you rent Calafia Getaway instead of one of the other condos for rent in Calafia? It's got all the same basic stuff the others all do. So let me point out a few things that may be unique from the rest.
The Calafia Condos consists a Towers I & II. Tower I is several years old. Calafia Getaway is in the recently completed Tower II. In addition, each floor of Tower II (penthouses excluded) consists of four units: the side units (01 & 04) and the center units (02 & 03). The center units are the premier units which feature dead center direct ocean views as opposed to side ocean views, and three balconies versus just one. You guessed it - Calafia Getaway is one of these premier units. It's also located on an upper floor (8th floor of 12) which is also more desirable.
The building lobby has wireless access for internet which is why any rental unit in Tower II will list wireless access as an amenity. But Calafia Getaway features wireless access inside the entire condo! No running down to the lobby every time you want to check your email. So bring your laptop and go online from the balcony, lying in bed or anywhere else in Calafia Getaway. Continuing on the technology theme, Calafia Getaway features DirecTV with Showtime, local LA stations, XM Radio, all the sports stations, and yes, even the NFL Ticket. Every NFL game is available every NFL Sunday!! Cha-CHING!!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Being right on the ocean and seeing almost nothing other than ocean from our condo is probably the best thing we like about it. Calafia is located on a point, so the views are pretty great. We have our favorite restaurants and look forward to visiting them every time we visit Baja.
Formerly Fox Studios where "Titanic" and many other major motion pictures were filmed. Admission and tours are available.

My wife and I are from Northern and Southern California respectively. We currently live in Southern California and have always enjoyed going to Baja Mexico. It's so close, but makes us feel so far away. We like the ability to either just relax, do nothing and stare at the ocean, or trek out and do one of the many activities there are to do in Baja. Being an avid golfer, I like going down during the week and playing golf at Bajamar which is a beautiful course along the ocean only 30 minutes away. Ed & Carey, San Clemente, CA
