I can't say enough about the Good Life or the owners. The cottage is gorgeous, clean, and spacious. The owner was there to help let us in and made it known available if we needed him. We had a large group of 9 to celebrate my dad's birthday, and we all fit comfortably for sleeping and the celebration. It is beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. The outdoor patios make you feel like you're in a completely different state - very peaceful and relaxing. I definitely plan to come again - I think it would be a fantastic place to stay any time of year!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We recently had 3 couples and a single family member spend the week in this charming house. The house was beautifully furnished, including a great kitchen, beach chairs, beach towels, large gas grill and a beautiful screened porch that was an added bonus. It was an extremely hot week, but the house had excellent air conditioning and ceiling fans. We were extremely comfortable the entire week. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy our individual space as well as eat together. Great places to walk and a very short distance to gorgeous beach! Would return "in a heart beat"!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We're a group of 7 women who have been friends for more than 30 years, yet we live all over the country. We had such a beautiful reunion at this home in Union Pier. There were so many great spots to relax and enjoy conversation...the screened-in porch, the living room, the sunny deck in the backyard, and the sun porch. The fully-equipped kitchen made for easy meal prep, with a full assortment of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and appliances. The bathrooms were beautifully updated, and because there were 3, we never had to wait in line. Each bed was very comfy with nice linens, and the central air conditioning kept the house very comfortable during the 90-degree temperatures. The beach is .6 of a mile down the road, and the ice cream shop is even closer! We were able to easily walk to the beach several times during our short stay. The beach was clean and provided a great place to walk.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This home provides the perfect location and the home itself is so well designed, well appointed and beautifully furnished. The three full baths made getting ready with a group a breeze and the sound proofing of the home itself was wonderful. The screened in porch was an absolute favorite of all of ours, and many breakfasts were eaten there and books were read there while listening to the sounds of nature all around. The proximity to assorted gelato flavors was a little too convenient : ), and I don't think my family and I missed a single night of enjoying this taste of Italy! Thank goodness for the short walk that gave us a bit of exercise! You will not be disappointed in renting this beautiful home.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The women in our family travel every year to different locations, and this one was by far the best. Our group ranges in age from 2 1/2 to 65, so it can be difficult to find a place to fit everyone's needs. We live in Indiana so the drive was short and house was easily found. The floorplan was perfect for us...One bedroom downstairs (my grandmother doesn't do stairs well), 3 bedrooms upstairs (including master), and 3 full baths. With 8 females the bathrooms were wonderful! Location is close to small convenience shops (Bud and Elsie's) and a short drive (approx 10 min) to public beach and shops (New Buffalo). There was a beach access at the end of the road (2 min drive, 10 min walk) but there were steep stairs and not everyone in our party could easily go up and down. We visited winery tasting rooms (walking distance), rented bikes at Outpost Sports in New Buffalo, and enjoyed the live music at the Stray Dog (New Buffalo). There was also a traveling outdoor market at Skip's one day that we enjoyed visiting. Local artists and crafts as well as local food (Whoopie Pies were our favorite!) We spent many evenings on the screened in porch and cooked meals in the kitchen and on the grill on the back deck. Parking was not an issue and we could easily get in and out of the driveway. The house is located in a quiet area, just off the the main road (Red Arrow Highway). You can hear the train but it was not bothersome to my neice (2 1/2 years old). Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend to others!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The home worked out great for our Holiday gathering. Typically people think of Harbor Country for the summer but we enjoy the fall there too. We had a great Thanksgiving gathering. The weaher was warm so the screened porch and back deck drew evryone outside. It was an easy walk to Bud & Elsie's for the forgotten ingredients and to grab more wine! With the rgeat weather daily walks to to the beach a ritual. This home was comfortable and well appointed. I would highly recommend it to friends and family. We'll be back for more good times in the summer.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
