  What a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. We were two couples that rented the whole house. Although a bit away from the excitement of wine country, it was so nice to be out during the day, and go back to someplace so peaceful in the late afternoon and evening. Also, being able to sit on the spacious deck in the morning to enjoy the hummingbirds while drinking coffee, in the evening to eat dinner, and after dinner to the living room either to play games or watch TV/read, there was plenty of room. If you wanted to be by yourself, you could go to your bedroom and relax. There was not one thing we wanted for. We highly recommend this property.

  My husband and I brought our five kids and our neice for a night and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and very peaceful. Some of the kids and I took a long walk and never even heard a sound from anyone even though there are houses all around. Every time we sat out on the porch it was so quiet and peaceful. The scenery from the back yard is beautiful and our kids had a great time cooking out and having a little bonfire with smores. The house is extremely clean- so much better than a hotel stay! Fran was great all the way through- recommended places for us to go after meeting us there as we arrived. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a peaceful night or week away!

  My grandma and I stayed at The Nesting Box vacation rental. We had so much fun. The sight off the back porch was very beautuiful. The beds were so comfortable. I stayed in the cowboy room and I slept very good. My grandma stayed in the angel room, She said she slept very good too. We watched movies, Fran has a big variety of movies. There was also cards we could play and we had a very good time.

  Fran, the owner, was great! She worked w/ us on a very last minute reservation, and just was incredibly helpful. The house is very comfortable, and if you forget something, you will probably find it there already w/ Fran's encouragement to make yourself at home. The house is meticulously clean- you will not have any complaints in that department. The view from the back deck is lovely- we spent most of our mornings and evenings out there- incredibly peaceful, w/ lots of bird songs. Even though it is in the middle of "town", you would never know it: It's quite secluded, and we never even heard or saw any neighbors. This house is about 15 mi west of Hermann (via a beautiful drive), and we used it as a home base to drive across the river to bike the Katy Trail, both east and west of Hermann- it was perfect for this!   All guests that stay at the Nestingbox are very pleased with the cleanliness and the compfort of the home. They respond with delight of the homey feel it reflects memories of grandmas house. We have a great view off the back deck with a peaceful feeling listening to the birds singing all day, morning coffee never tasted better.
