This newly built luxury home designed by an award-winning architect nestled in a grove of aspens sits high up on the mountain. There are spectacular views of the mountains from every room in the house.
The property (5 acres) borders national forest on two sides. No neighbors are visible, providing a setting of extraordinary natural beauty and serenity. Moose, horned owls, mule deer, elk and grouse are daily visitors. Dozens of humming birds perch on the deck during the summer months.
The home was built in 2003 with luxury finishes. There is 3000 square feet of living space, a deck with Southern exposure that runs along the entire back of the house with a lovely deck area (outside dining area of the deck which is covered sits six).
The deck is a lovely place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee during sunrise and/or a glass of wine or dinner as the sun sets over the mountains .
While a mountain home, it has a high finish interior. There are three bedrooms, three full baths plus a powder room, a great room, a library/office with high-speed access, an entertainment/family room and a full gourmet kitchen (complete with two eating areas – one inside and one outside with spectacular views of the mountains).
The great room built with textured timber beams features stunning floor to ceiling windows and an oversized fireplace surrounded by Montana moss stone running from floor to ceiling (close to 20 feet).
The master bedroom suite has beautiful Venetian plastered walls. Twelve-foot high glass windows look out over the mountains and national forest. And the library with a fireplace with Montana moss stone cozies the room on a chilly Jackson night.
Beautiful limestone covers the floor and shower surround of the master bathroom and it also features designer double sinks. A heated bathroom floor keeps feet warm on chilly mornings, and the sound system in the master bedroom and bathroom allows you to start the day in style. The door to the outside deck also leads to hiking paths just steps from the bedroom.
The guest suite features twelve foot high windows in the bedroom overlooking the mountains, a walk-in closet, a queen-size bed and direct (private) private access to a stone patio directly off the bedroom.
Just 50 feet away from the patios is a network of trails – for biking or hiking -- leading you into the beauty of the national forest. The bathroom has a shower, two sinks and a Jacuzzi.
The second guest room features two twin beds and twelve foot windows on two side of the room again looking over the mountains and national forest. There is also a private bathroom with a shower and tub. For children, there is a climbing structure with swings and a slide off of this bedroom as well.
The gourmet kitchen, close to 400 square feet with granite counters and a breakfast bar, is bright and airy opening into the great room and the dining area. All professional cooking utensils are also provided with the property.
The library has custom maple bookcases built in throughout the room with a warm reading nook in front of the fire. Two desks are hidden into the design of the bookcase for those that might want to turn the library into an office. High speed internet access and a separate business phone line is available, as is a printer.
The entertainment room, again with spectacular views, features a 50” wide screen HDTV, DVD player. This room can easily be converted into a fourth bedroom if needed.
The property borders national forest on both sides and there are hiking trails within steps of the home throughout Bridger-Teton National Forest. The town of Jackson is approximately 30 minutes away, as is the ski area.
The owners have ensured that all the amenities are to the highest standards.
