Want to be where you can walk or bike to everything? This La Jolla house is ideally situated in a wonderful seaside neighborhood. It's the type of beach vacation rental where you can hear, taste, smell, and see the pacific ocean. On the second floor you have great views of the ocean and can see surfers out in the water. The house is fully furnished, includes all linens and a fully equipped kitchen. This house is ideal for single families or small group of mature and quiet guests. This house is not available for parties, gatherings, or events and is strictly prohibited.

PROPERTY UPDATE:
In 2009 we completed a remodel of the first floor of the house. Completely remodeled kitchen, granite counter top, new appliances, upgraded lighting dining, new paint throughout, crown molding, etc.... It looks fantastic. Now you can cook and entertain people at the bar at the same time with with new kitchen dining layout. We have not increased the price at all, same price as last years rates. Same rates, better house. You have access to bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, library of books to borrow, and a beach umbrella. All you have to do is bring your suit and sun screen and you are ready to go! :)

Walk to Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, or downtown La Jolla Birdrock, or use our bikes to get their faster. You can walk to excellent restaurants, grocery store, café's, the list goes on and on...
Our La Jolla rental is located in a fantastic family friendly neighborhood where there is a beach entrance. Many of the local surfers prefer surfing the waves accessible in our neighborhood.
Kid Friendly Beaches - I can make a few recommendations as to which beaches are stroller and kid friendly. We are close to them all.
House Layout:
Bottom Floor has two bedrooms; two bathrooms, massage chair, kitchen; living room and dining. The top Floor has a huge master bedroom and a balcony with an ocean view.
Private Backyard:
Lush trees and foliage, water fall pool and jacuzzi.

Greetings from a very relaxed VRBO Bear! I just had a wonderful vacation in the charming seaside town of La Jolla in San Diego, California. The best part of my vacation was this amazing house with a pool. The private pool and private Jacuzzi were the highlight of my stay. You will have a hard time finding a vacation home so jam packed with comfort, style and relaxation.
The host of this lovely vacation property has thought of all the comforts of home, plus many added luxuries for your enjoyment. Each evening, I had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony, where I relaxed on the comfortable patio furniture. The wonderful master suite on the top floor offered sights and sounds of the ocean from the windows facing the coast. The feather beds, memory foam mattress and feather pillows guaranteed a good night’s sleep. The gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas stove and granite counter top complimented the stylish modern décor.
The owner provided all the beach accessories one would want for the ideal beach vacation- boogie boards, bikes, beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Access to the scenic Bird Rock coastline of La Jolla was super convenient- just a few blocks away. After a day of sightseeing and hanging out at the beach, it was nice to return home for a full body massage in a leather recliner chair while sitting in front of the big flat screen TV. As a plus, Wi-Fi was provided, which no Bear can live without these days!
There is so much that I could see and do here in San Diego! I have to admit that although I love to travel and see new places, this is one vacation home I would return to over and over again.

Ocean view, walk to the beach, walk everywhere. Really the perfect location. Quiet neighborhood, family friendly, surf friendly. You can hear the ocean.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Large and lush backyard with private pool and hot tub and spectator bar connected to the kitchen for entertaining and BBQs.
This is where our La Jolla bird rock house is located. So close to the water you can hear, see, and smell the ocean. It is walking distance to everything. You will want to stay at least a week.
Beach access here, ideal for surfers. There are stairs down to the beach. A favorite surfing spot for locals. Not recommended for kids. Great lookout point.

This rental had the perfect space for 3 couples to vacation together but still have their privacy with the 3 separate bedroom/ 4 bathroom set-up. The kitchen was filled with every appliance you would need, the house was stocked with lots of paper products, detergents, beach chairs, towels and anything else you would need. It was nice to have the option of the washer and dryer. The hot tub, pool and grill with all the chairs and tables made the outside another room to hang out together. The ability to walk to the beach, grocery store and restaurants was convenient. We only wish the california sunshine had come out more during our stay.

This house was Perfect! The location was great... close to the beach and close to the quaint Bird Rock town. The layout was very spacious and comfortably fit 8 people. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely do so again during our next San Diego trip!

Period of Stay: Aug 22-Aug 30 2009 I Loved this house! It had ocean views (from 2nd floor), ocean smells and ocean sounds that were delightful. The kids loved having the pool too. The location was great and we walked into Birdrock for coffee or shopping and walked to the beach for boogie boarding and surfing. I would definitely recommend this as a fantastic beach house.

Au-Co and Tony, we loved your house. The house and pool were beautiful. The kids swam pretty much every day and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi. We enjoyed being able to walk to Starbucks and the bake shop in the morning and being close to the beach and the sites. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was the perfect place for our San Diego vacation. The kids loved the pool and we adults enjoyed the hot tub. Things that stood out for us included the well stocked kitchen and library, beautiful views of the ocean from the balcony, and easy walks to shops and ocean. We hope to make it back again soon!

It was a pleasure meeting you Au-co. The house truly was a pleaseure to stay at. The hot tub was a great family meeting place at the end of a day. The balcony with the view, a book and glass of wine was so relaxing. The walks along the ocean in the morning was a slice of heaven. Would stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Thank you Au-co! We had a blast! It was the perfect location. It was close to major attractions but it had a small town feel. The house is literally around the corner from the ocean. A very easy walk. The upstairs view is truly stunning and breathtaking, especially at sunset. We spent all of our sunsets upstairs with a glass of wine - it was very peaceful. Our kids are 8 and 10 and they simply loved the beautiful pool. My 10 year old son with autism said it was his favorite VRBO rental that we have ever had (we've had 4). He typically doesn't volunteer info like this. We will definitely be back - an absolutely wonderful place to stay.

Thanks Au-Co! We enjoyed it tremendously. We loved the location because we liked being close to the beach in Pacific Beach but staying in the quiet and relaxed neighborhood. We also really liked Bird Rock. The beds were very comfortable and we used the kitchen alot. The pool and especially the jacuzzi were great after a day at the beach. We went to the beach everyday but the day that we went to the zoo. Overall, I would say it was a great vacation spot, especially with kids. Thanks so much, Stacey
