If you are looking to keep active, walk to the historic Chain Ferry, cross the Kalamazoo River and walk to Oval Beach. Oval Beach is noted as one of the top ten beaches in the United States. If you are looking to relax and see the sights take a ride on the Star of Saugatuck, the Harbor Duck, or tour the SS Keewatin, a Titanic-era steamship. All offer a wonderful experience.
Saugatuck is an American art destination and has become known as “The Art Coast of Michigan!” There are galleries galore to explore. Don’t miss the annual Venetian Festival or The Waterfront Film Festival. The Saugatuck Center for the Arts offers performances that are among the best in the region.
