Our third floor condo is 2bd/2b each in their own separate suite. Condo is in the middle of the building directly on the ocean w/out obstruction. We stayed in this condo November 17th-30th of 2010 and I do not have enough room to write about all the wonderful things about it! The pictures are spot-on, and the descriptions that Paul and Sandy have posted are completely accurate. The view can't be beat. The location of this condo is PERFECT...we never heard street noise, but we were so close to many shops and restaurants. We didn't use the air conditioning once...instead embraced the 80s temperatures and slept with the sound of the waves. The snorkeling at both Kameole 1 and 2 were great, and we were able to spot turtles from the lanai or master bedroom window every day. We enjoyed our meals on the lanai or the rooftop garden, which was amazing! The rooftop garden had an excellent view and nice tables and bbqs. It was always busy but never too busy to find an open table. The view from the lanai (and the kitchen, and the master bedroom) was breathtaking and so enjoyable to relax to. Our two daughters (7 and 9) completely enjoyed the trip and the condo. It is great for kids and adults alike. The Royal Mauian is nestled right in between two of the best beaches, and it is also on the ocean side of the street--not a common thing in South Kihei. It was so nice to be able to walk along the grass and path to get to the beach and not have to cross the street! The condo itself was fully stocked--between the kitchen staples and utensils to the boogie boards and coolers, we felt like we had it all. The furnishings are tasteful and the TV is nice and new (although we rarely used it) and we felt perfectly at home there. Thank you again to Paul and Sandy for letting us stay in your condo. We truly had an incredible time and can't wait to start planning another trip to Maui. Cam, Jen, Emma, and Katie

Terrific place to stay while on Maui

Owners were easy to work with, had lots of good information, and were very accommodating. #310 is a great condo - clean, well appointed, terrific TV with DVD player and radio. Kitchen had everything we needed. #310 is located away from the street and has a great vista out onto the ocean and of Kamaole (Kam) I beach. We saw many turtles from the lanai. We also saw a pair of seals swim up to Kam I, and then over to Kam II. There is some good coral out front of the Royal Mauian (RM), so snorkeling is worth while. Rooftop grilling/dining area is awesome. My family that live on Maui said they did not know of any other property with a rooftop area like the RM. The 360 view is truly inspiring. Closet was packed with all kinds of useful items - several coolers, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Zoned air conditioner worked really well. It was nice to shut it off and open the windows to hear the ocean; however, we were there in July and the air conditioner was definitely appreciated by our family. WiFi worked once I diagnosed a cable was not plugged in. Lawn area was very nicely landscaped and manicured. We so enjoyed walking on the 'Carpet' of grass right in front of the ocean! Pool was very nice also. It was a really nice option for the kids to swim in the pool in the afternoon or evening (during the afternoon the trade winds really picked up and ocean isn't quite as inviting or friendly as earlier in the day). The 808 Bistro (couple blocks south on Kihei Rd) is a great place to dine - it is located behind another restaurant so you kinda have to look for it, but is really worth the effort). Also, Cuatro restaurant had great food - it has a really small dinning room, but great food. All in all I cannot wait until we are able to return to Maui and the Royal Mauian #310! I would definitely recommend #310.
