Original Estate on Lake in the Heart of Miami, our Ground Level Suite is available for private rentals, with separate entry, 2 large bedrooms, living room with wet bar, bath and private patios. All rooms open directly to gorgeous lake views with French doors. Ritz-Carlton styled interiors with beautiful furnishings. Living area has two pullout sofas, one a Double, and one a single bed. Another Futon & a crib are also available for use. Upper two levels of the Estate are Owner occupied, when in Miami. When you are a Guest on the property, then the use of the grounds, pools, and facilities are unlimited, and entirely at your desire.

Unique setting,large estate grounds, at the end of a dead end street. 20 foot perimeter hedge make the grounds very private, but long vistas across the Lake. Paddleboat available for lake exploration. Large tropical plantings in the gardens, with walking paths, lilly pond, tennis court, tree house, 2 childrens' swing sets, large terraces, large resort styled pool, and mini spa pool, and patios, large lawn for games (we have many lawn games, such as croquet), exotic plantings, fountain, loggias, and a grand lifestyle! There is only ever one group of Guests on the property at any one time, in the Suite. Tropical paradise, day or night.

  • Lakefront: Very private residential lake, without motorized traffic...long views and lots of wildlife, birds, ducks, iguanas...everytime of day offers varying views. Paddleboat available for lake exploration, takes about 2 hours to paddle around the entire lake. Also children's life vests available in the Suite. April, 2009 we spotted a bald eagle. No fishing please.

  • Broadband Internet: Bring your computer connection, and we will hook it to ours for the duration of your stay, for unlimited use.
  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): Entire Suite is wireless, but sometimes doesn't connect in poor weather...best to bring a hook-up to be certain to have use. But, even in bad weather, we have access at the pool area.

  • Ground floor Suite of large estate home available, 2 Br, 1 bath, Living Room, and storage room filled with games. Owner occupied upper two floors. All rooms open to a private patio with bar-b-q and bar. All glass doors from each room have gorgeous lake view. All estate grounds available for use, including tennis court, tree house, koi pond, paddleboat for lake exploration, resort styled pool, and 2 playgrounds. A paradise for adults and children alike. Very private, with separate entry. Grounds are lush tropical gardens with walking paths and exotic plants. House is original estate built on the lake, at the end of a dead end road, and separated from neighbors with a 20' tall hedge around the perimeter. Very lush and serene with beautiful exterior lighting at night. Breeze means that we are mosquito free even in the worst months. Interiors are a Ritz-Carlton style environment. Laundry available for use in garage.

  • Pet Friendly: Talk to us....we love animals, and support the wildlife around us...but we don't want them disturbed by an animal not used to them...
  • No Pets Allowed: Is the general rule...but talk to us.
  • Kid Friendly: We love your children, and this site is a wonderland for them. Only for very young, there is a shower, instead of a tub. There are no barriers to the pool, koi pond or lake.
  • Smoking Not Allowed: Only outside the Suite, on the open grounds.

  • Our part of Miami is very close into the City, about 5 miles south of the Airport, but a world away in spirit. 2 miles to Coral Gables fine Dining, and 10 miles to South Beach. We find that many people stay on our grounds, and find we are the most exclusive resort, so why go anywhere else.

  • Paradise Found! This place is a remarkable jewel in the heart of South Miami. The grounds are gorgeous and include a well-kept lawn, tennis court, treehouse, lily pond, swimming pool, swing set, several outdoor eating areas, flowering trees and a section of local flora. The lake view is stunning and filled with passing waterfowl (loons, ducks, geese, ibises, etc.) that make for an entertaining show each morning and evening. For those wanting a closer look, there is a fun little paddleboat that we took out on several excursions. The location provides easy access to the airport, Key Biscayne, South Beach, the Everglades, and even Key Largo if you ever feel the need to leave the premises. Shopping centers within a few blocks provide all the food and other amenities you need. The premises are very clean and comfortable and include Direct TV and loads of DVDs and videos (especially for young kids). Our party included 5 adults and one toddler and there was plenty of room and comfort for all of us. The owners/residents were delightful hosts. They went out of their way to extend their hospitality to both our immediate and local families (they even encouraged us to have a family reunion on the premises) and they were barely visible throughout our stay. On our arrival they told us that the grounds, pool and lake were exclusively ours and they meant it! As a native Miamian, it was a special treat to stay here because of all the natural beauty, including local flowers, trees, vines, etc., that reminded me of the Miami I grew up in during the '60s and that is only visible now in places like Fairchild Garden. My 90 year-old mother and local relatives who came to visit us were equally enchanted and surprised to find this gem in their midst. I have made so many visits to Miami over the past 38+ years that it's hard to count them all but I can't remember one that was so memorable or enjoyable. If you are looking for a wonderful escape from the Miami Beach tourist traps and crowded causeways then this is your spot. My only hesitation in highly recommending this rental is that it will become so popular that I may have trouble renting it again in the future. And believe me that would be the only thing that will stop us from returning here!

  • We were "wowed"! Once my family arrived, we were amazed by the beauty. We felt as if we were in a miniature botanical garden. Gorgeous flowers, a beautiful lake, and yet our private pool, tennis court- even a tree house for the kids. I gather the lake is a private lake for the 15 or so houses that surround it as we never saw another person in the week we were there. The kids loved the paddle boat and pool, my wife loved the gorgeous beauty of the flowers and scenery and we all relaxed more than we have on any other vacation. Included with the house is Direct TV, mega DVDs and even a walk-in closet filled with games. We had more family time than any other vacation and we were able to relax and escape. As secluded as it was, the house is still close to so much- including a short drive to the ocean (which we only did twice because we found we liked the privacy of our place to be far superior.) My family found this gem to be far superior to any experience at any price from a resort. Here we were not tourists, but a family creating memories we will cherish forever. When friends ask about our vacation, I find myself talking about our housing more than any aspect of the trip itself.
