New in 2008, this 6000 square foot estate home is sited on three acres in the Colorado Rocky Mountain foothills, and has a 360 degree view from its many panorama windows. Deer and foxes abound.
The huge upstairs master suite has a gas fireplace, his and her sinks, walk in closet, and a two person jetted corner window tub. A second master is on the main level. There are two other spacious upstairs bedrooms.
Downstairs, oak floors cover the living room, formal dining, family room, eating area, and kitchen. The spacious family room, open to the kitchen and bay window breakfast area, has a raised stone wood burning fireplace. The living room features a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams and great mountain views out the huge windows. The formal dining room seats eight. The gourmet kitchen has slab granite counter tops and an island with all new stainless steel appliances. Most of the furniture is also new. It has a three car garage, large deck, and unfinished walkout basement.
Restaurants, grocery stores and shops are five minutes away, and the Air Force Academy is a 10 minute drive. Pike National Forest and Monument Preserve are within walking distance; both have many hiking, biking, and horse trails.

My family rented this home for a week in June, just prior to our son starting school at the AFA. It was perfect! The home is beautiful and was fully stocked - down to kitchen and laundry staples and other useful items. And, it was spotless! The location was very convenient to the North Gate entrance to the Academy as well as to restaurants and shopping. We even found a great nail spa nearby and a work-out facility - both within 5 minutes of the house. We enjoyed watching lots of interesting birds and other wildlife from the balcony. And, for just hanging around the house, there was internet connection, satellite television, and a number of videos and books. It was a pleasure working with the owners. Although we have only communicated by e-mail and phone, I feel like we're friends. I highly recommend this home to others and look forward to having an opportunity to rent this home for our family again.

This house is a home. Has everything in the kitchen and thorough out. Our teenage boys loved playing chest in the living room, playing downstair with their cousins (nothing better then a large, open space for boys to playing in). We had a big family dinner, grilling steaks on the deck and everything was there in the kitchen, which I loved. Fabulous kitchen and accessories. Don't forgot to adjust the brownie recipe for high altitude! Beds were very comfortable and linen great. Great value and owner are great to work with. Will bring my 83 year old mother next time, as there is bedroom on 1st floor-perfect for her. Saw deer and red fox. We would return to this home in a heart beat. Polly and Tim Vienna, Virginia

The house was spotless and impeccably maintained. What a delight it was to only have a few groceries to buy since all the essentials were generously provided. Kudos to the dishwasher manufacturer for making a machine so quiet that our meals in the kitchen and our TV viewing in the adjoining family room were never disturbed by background noise. Our vacation plans included visits to Golden, Westminster, Denver, Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, and Canon City. This lovely house, with wonderful views of hills, valleys and neighboring estates, put us in the middle of it all. It was simply icing on the cake to have such helpful and courteous owners.

When these owners tell you that all you need to bring is your toothbrush...they are serious. Very generous renters and an absolutely wonderful home. My family including my young children, parents, and sister graduating from USAFA all enjoyed the home and its' amenities. For USAFA families - this is a top notch home worth the investment and very convenient to the North Gate of USAFA. The kitchen was fantastic and the home comfortably hosted our USAFA graduation party. Denver is just 45 minutes away and so is Manitou Springs. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up - if we ever get to the area again we will be renting this property without question.

This home is beautiful, luxurious, warm and welcoming. Everything and more at your fingertips. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of a trip to this part of colorado. It is within easy reach of many of the states treasures and sights. You will not be sorry you chose it as your vacation getaway but you may have trouble leaving at the end of your stay.

Fabulous house in a great location. We have rented many times from VRBO and absoulely love this house. David and Marie are great to work with. We have stayed here twice already and plan on staying again next summer. Great easy access to Colorado springs and Denver. Close to everything Shopping, resuarants, AFA, Garden of the Gods, cog rail yet in a beautiful quiet development with awsome views out every window. You can enjoy your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening out on the deck. The house is very spacious and WELL maintained. The walking/Biking trail is within easy access and if you don't have Bikes like us you can rent them for the Day/Days from the bike shop along the path. The trail head at the AFA is a breathtaking path not to be missed. Great for ALL ages. There is plenty of info at the house to help you plan excusions. We look forward to our return.
