THE TWO BEDROOMS have queen pillow-top beds, soft pillows, and clean white 400 count linens. One bedroom has a 27 inch television with cable and the other is connected to the bath. Both bedrooms have oak dressers and nightstands.
THE LIVING ROOM has a queen and single fold away sofas and propane fireplace. For entertainment we have a 40 inch LCD HDTV with cable, DVD, VHS and a Sony Playstation 2. The oak bookcase has a small DVD and video game collection and in the back foyer you'll find a large book library.
THE KITCHEN is fully furnished with everything needed for cooking inside or out on the gas grill or on the stove/oven. You can stock the refrigerator and freezer with groceries from the market just up the street and we also provide a coffee maker with coffee for those early mornings.
THE DECK is perfect for grilling, fires, watching the annual fireworks display on the 4th of July or just sitting in the sun overlooking the water Tenmile Creek. There is lots of wildlife like ducks, nutria, deer, and herons that frequent the area during the summer months.
BOATING: If you’re bringing your boat you will enjoy free covered boat moorage and trailer parking at Tenmile Marina next door. You won’t have to waste any more time launching and loading your boat, just launch and park the trailer. Since the marina is right next door you can walk out of the house and be trolling in minutes. This service is free. Taking a break for lunch is as easy as parking your boat and taking the minute walk to multiple restaurants like The Old Stables, The Lakeshore Lodge or The 8th Street Grill.
ATV's: Access to the Oregon Dunes is less than 2 miles away at Spinreel Staging area which also has ATV rentals. We provide plenty of outdoor parking for your ATV's. Dune access areas in North Bend and Winchester Bay are also within very close driving distance.
THE BEACH is less than 7 miles away off highway 101 in Winchester Bay or about 10 miles away at Horesfall in North Bend. Both access points offer free parking and are great for beach-combing because they limit motor vehicle use. There is access to the beach from Spinreel with your AWD vehicle or ATVS and this is about 4 miles away though the massive Oregon sand dunes.

- Marina boat moorage is included at no additional cost. No parking limitations or cost, but please disclose vehicles when booking. We also provide access to battery charging at the marina for fishermen, both on the docks and at the house.

- Pet Friendly : Please disclose information about pets. A fee may apply if they require extra cleaning. They aren't allowed on the furniture (it's pretty tough to get fur off!)

Year Purchased: 2007
I've spent most of my life bass fishing Tenmile Lake, salmon fishing in Winchester Bay and exploring the Oregon Dunes on ATVs. I never could decide what I wanted to do most, so I spread my time throughout these places, gaining a deep and diversified perspective of recreational possibilities on the Oregon Coast. Everyday folks ask me where's the lake, how do we get to the dunes, and ocean. Pointing them in the right direction is my favorite thing to do...except water skiing on a warm evening.
Why the Owner Chose Lakeside
Since 1990 my family has owned and operated the only dry storage marina on Tenmile Lake in Lakeside and on the Southern Oregon Coast. Often customers would inquire about the cozy home adjacent to our storage facility. So, in the summer of 2007 we decided to outfit the house as a launching pad for outdoor enthusiasts looking for close, convenient access to the Tenmile Lakes, the Oregon Dunes, and the Pacific Ocean.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The outdoor playgrounds are phenomenally close to our rental. Tenmile Lake is at your doorstep, Spinreel sand dune access about 2 miles west, and the beach is less than 5! Yet, we're within very close walking distance the grocery store, multiple restaurants, and the county park. The ultimate day is fishing on Tenmile Lake in the morning, water skiing it by noon, riding the Oregon Dunes before dark, then top the day off with a BBQ! It sure wears you out, but nothing comes close! Camping on the Oregon Dunes sure is fun too!

Stayed here last August for my family's annual girl's getaway. Eight of us girls fit comfortably in this cozy home and had a great time experiencing all the Southern Oregon coast has to offer. From shopping in Bandon to a fun dune buggy tour, this place is in a great location for all sorts of activities. The fire pit and BBQ on the back deck were awesome, we BBQ'd and roasted marshmallows nearly every night! And Charles was really accommodating, no matter what we needed he went out of his way to provide it, even giving us the corkscrew from his own home when we forgot ours. It was a great weekend and we'll definitely be coming back.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Idyllic. Will definitely be back.

Coming from Portland, it was such a pleasure for my wife and I to find a place so quiet and in a setting so exemplary of the natural beauty we Pacific Northwesterners are fortunate enough to have within reach. It is a small house above a creek, in a quiet and quaint town. The house is clean and warm, and seemed to have enough bedding to sleep several more people. We had good weather, but if we had been rained in it seemed that there would have been plenty to do inside, with a nice living area, books, and a full kitchen. The creek below leads to a pretty extensive lake, which has houses around its perimeter but which is still heavily wooded, and on my morning jogs I saw plenty of ospreys and other wildlife. It was hard to return to Portland.

My family stayed here last summer and had an incredible time. Charles was so helpful. He told us where the best places to fish and ride were and even came to our aid when we ran out of gas in our boat. The house has all the ammenites needed for a family of 6 (plus 2 dogs). We'll definately be back next summer!
