Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley
My husband and I having been visiting the Great Smoky Mountains for twenty years. We've stayed in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Seveirville, Walden's Creek, Townsend, and Wears Valley. We love them all. Since we live in Knoxville, several weekend trips a year, even on the spur of the minute, are not out of the question. We've stayed in many different cabins. The problem was that there was always something that could have been better. A cabin with a great view would offer no privacy. One with privacy had no view. We wanted a cabin with as many amenities as possible that we could count on consistently. A "known quantity" if you will. Of all the cabins we've stayed in over the years, none can hold a candle to A Wilderness Lodge.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
The view is simply spectacular. The layout of the cabin was ingeniously designed to showcase the view. We love sitting on the upper deck soaking in the view. If the weather doesn't permit sitting outside, the view is wonderful from the couch.
Metcalf Bottoms Area-Great picnic and tubing area. There's also an old school (Little Greenbrier) that you can walk to from the bridge or drive to from Little River Rd.

Charlie, Jeff, and Lori, all engineers, appreciate the structural integrity of A Wilderness Lodge. Debbie, a teacher, can't stop marvalling at the view. Charlotte, our six-year old enjoys the hot tub most of all.

Thanks so much for sharing the "wildernesss lodge" with us! While the rain kept us in a white cloud for most of the weekend, it was fascinating to watch the clouds move in and out, occasionally giving us sneak peaks of the view. We had a wonderful trip. The weather was about the best we've had in the twenty years we've been coming to the Smokies. The cabin was beautiful and so was the view. It was the first cabin we had been in that gave such a tremendous view from simply sitting on the couch in the living room. My son and daughter and I would fish after we came in from hiking and catch a few. We appreciate you renting your place to us. I would certainly recommend your cabin to our friends.
