This is a beautiful (A+) condo and in a great location. It met all our needs and more. We loved all the space it provided and would definitely stay here again. We also appreciated the recommendations on what to see and do - this was very helpful. VRBO has never let us down.

My new wife and I stayed here during our Honeymoon in late October 2011. When we walked in, the first words out of our mouths were, “sweeeeeeet.” The upgrades to the place are modern and complementary. We lacked nothing in terms of amenities. After you load up at Costco, there’s plenty of room to store your goods. Obviously, there were only two of us so we used the main floor bedroom for all our daily outing staging. As there is a built-in desk (w/ Ethernet & wireless) it also served as our office. The kitchen was well appointed as were the living room, dining room as well as the first floor deck. One can see and hear the ocean quite well. Speaking of decks, the benefit of an upper unit is the 3rd floor master bedroom deck! One can down a few tropical concoctions and wobble only few feet to into bed. Plus there’s a brilliant bird’s eye view! The unit is far enough back to be shielded from the goings-on of the monstrous Hyatt hotel yards away. Yet it’s close enough to walk to the hotel and use their facilities if desired. At the same time, one can still be lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. Minor opportunities for improvement of which only one can be owner repaired: No A/C, though plenty of ceiling fans and screened windows. Paradise needs work, so you’ll hear the landscapers and their equipment every morning – sometimes too early. Master bath needs a tiny update.

Poipu Sands met our expectations all around. The photos on the site where very realistic. What we liked the most was the quiet atmosphere and even in the condo you never heard a neighbor. Well built units. Also, the ease of working with Denise was great. We did have a little problem upon checking in and Denise handled it immediately. She even followed up making sure all was ok for us. You can tell they love their unit and want their guests to love it too!

A 5 STAR Condo

My family just returned from spending 6 nights at this wonderful property. We have been to Hawaii several times over the years, but this was by far the best condo we have ever stayed in. The condo itself is immaculate. When we first walked in, we could see that the owners take enormous pride in their home. It is roomy, has spectacular views, is decorated like a model Hawaiian home, and has all the amenities one needs to enjoy the island. One of the highlights of each day was sitting on one of the lanais and enjoying the breath taking view. The close proximity to the swimming pool, beach, and Grand Hyatt were huge benefits as well. This condo is a 2 story, upstairs end unit which offers excellent privacy and quiet. If you want to stay at a pristine luxurious condo with a fantastic location, then this is your place.

We had a great time at the Condo. Really enjoyed all the hiking and trails close by. The Hyatt was a great place to unwind after a day at the beach. Terrific views & live music. We found the unit to be just as the pictures represented. The beds were very comfortable and the two full bedroom suites made it perfect for two couples. I would highly recommend this condo again and really enjoyed working with Denise to make the vacation a memory. Only regret was we had t come back to snow and rain.

Great Vacation

The condo exceeded our expectations with a nice view of the ocean and gardens. Being so close to the tennis court was great and always available to play. The interior is immaculate and the kitchen was beautifully renovated with all the utensils and basics needed for meal preparation. We found the owners very helpful, providing interesting ideas for places to visits and recommended restaurants in the area. They called the day after we arrived to make sure things were fine providing their contact information if needed which was great to have. We were really impressed with Poipu Sands and would highly recommend this particular unit as it is on two floors with lots of room and two great lanais to sit out on. Poipu is the sunnier part of the island which meant we could enjoy the outdoors everyday we were there. Waimea Canyon is absolutely beautiful. We took a motorized hang glider up the Napali coast which was beyond words and definitely an experience of a life time. We sure do hope to return one day soon.

We have only been back on the mainland for two weeks now, and we are desparately missing the relaxing sunny shores of Poipu. Thank you so much for letting us use you condo. It was beautiful, but liveable at the same time. We loved the view of Shipwreck Beach. We also enjoyed the Kauai ATV waterfall tour, ziplining in Princeville, and Captain Andy's sunset cruise where we saw a number of whales and dolphins. Home away from Home

We have recently returned from our third vacation staying at Poipu Sands. We plan to return next Christmas. The property description is accurate. The condo is well appointed, very modern and comfortable with a sunrise view from the master bedroom, excellent air flow, views of the sea and mountains from both lanais. Our last stay was three weeks and we cooked most of our meals in the easy to use kitchen adjacent to the full dining room. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with high end appliances and utensils. The pool is large, heated and very clean. The complex and gardens running down to the sea are all well maintained. The owners are very friendly and I know they would be helpful if we were to ever need assistance with anything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this tastefully-decorated condo. Compared to many others we researched, the location, price, amenities, and furnishings exceeds the other rentals available in this area of the island. The fully-furnished kitchen allowed us to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and the occasional meal. The trade winds keep this condo comfortable without needing air conditioning – even in July! Would highly recommend!

We recently returned from a two month stay in Kauai. We rented Poipu Sands-Unit 126 for the fifth year in a row. The unit has been recently remodled and is beautiful with a spectacular view of the ocean, palm trees and the Poipu swimming pool. It offers an excellent location and all the comforts of home. “Your home was more than we expected. Walking through the front door and looking out through the lanai to the pool and view of Shipwreck Beach was just how we needed to start out our vacation. Your home had everything we needed to make the vacation relaxing and it was such a treat to have beach gear available for our use.
