  My family and I stayed for the second time at 3 bears. We loved it! Its a very cute and charming cabin. Lots of games to entertain children with. My girls LOVED the loft!!! The kids loved looking out the windows and spotting deer too. Thanks 3 Bears for making a great get away happen!! Hope to go back!

  Cabin was a disappointment. Don't count on the loft sleeping adults unless you want to bang their heads. One of the 3 showers is located in a hallway so don't expect privacy. The three queen beds have extremely uncomfortable mattresses - I actually went and bought an air mattress to put on top of mine. We were told there were ATV trails accessible from the cabin which turned out not to be true. We had to trailer the ATV's to trails. And the first night we were there the basement flooded and when we called the owners we were told where some extra towels were to sope up the wet carpet ourselves! Would never rent it a second time.

  Owner response: Unfortunately we have found that when a guest does damage and is charged accordingly, they often become bitter and lash out to try to “get back” at us. This was the case with these guests. They told us they had a great time until we informed them they would be charged for damages caused during their stay. These guests left a substantial amount of human feces on a bath mat and then tried to hide it by hanging it up as if it were clean. In addition, some food that they cooked exploded in the oven and required 2 hours of extra cleaning because of the mess. We charged them for the cost of replacing the bath mat and less than the actual cleaning time required, but they were unhappy. In regards to the water on the carpet (the basement did not flood), they didn’t happen to mention that they caused the problem by kicking a drainage hose in the utility room and that we simply asked them to mop up the water with some towels after the incident happened. At the time we asked if they could do this they were “more than happy to help”. The loft does sleep 3 people (one full and one twin bed), and although there are some low Lam beams because of the design of the A-frame loft, we have never had anyone complain about this before. Some guests have commented that they consider the loft to be the coolest feature of the house. The mattresses are high quality and are firm versus saggy, which is what she might be used to at home. To those who want to access ATV trails, there is an excellent Garden City trail map available from the Visitor Information Bureau which shows trail access points. I told this guest about that map and even sent her a link to it, but apparently she forgot about that and expected something different.

  This cabin is absolutely gorgeous. We had such an amazing time. The hottub was great. It was so convenient having a nice big grill, and the view of the lake is breathtaking. We would definetly stay here again. The owner was so easy to work with and the cleanup list on the day of checkout was a piece of cake. Thanks for a great vacation.

  My family and I drove from Colorado and My husbands parents drove from Oregon and meet us here. It was a beautiful home with plenty of space. We loved the huge deck and amazing views. One evening we even had a moose grazing outside the house. It was very convienent and had all of the amenities you could ask for. Would definitely recommend this home to others.

  We just returned from a family weekend celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. The cabin was perfect! Beautiful view. Lovely furnishings. All the comforts of home plus the luxury of a wilderness view. We had 10 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room and something for everyone. We are already making plans for a return stay!

  We had so much fun at this cabin! There is never a moment you wonder what you are going to do because there are so many options for entertainment just right inside the cabin not including the lake, hiking, biking, fishing, etc. We definately enjoyed how the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed especially since that was one of the main places we hung out. The view was spectacular and we loved how it felt very private especially when we relaxed in the hot tub at night and could see the stars so well. We loved that there was enough seating on the deck for the whole family to enjoy dinner out there. We have 2 little boys and it was so nice that they had beds for them and a high chair and toys and movies for them. Our family had fun in a tournament playing ping pong, foosball, and air hockey. We mostly loved how relaxing it was there. The cabin was clean but in need of deep cleaning for sure. The photos were pretty accurate, but the futon room was a little decieving...we thought it was an actual room, but is a futon and bathroom in the entry way of the cabin through the garage with a partition for privacy. I would definately recommend this cabin to both friends and relatives. The only complaint I have is that the beds and pillows were uncomfortable for almost everyone. Other then that...it was GREAT!

  Owner response: Every spring the cabin owners do a major deep clean of the cabin for an entire day. This year our cleaning was scheduled for 10 days after this guest stayed, so the high logs were a bit dusty during her stay. As stated in an earlier response, beds are a very individual thing and we have found different guests have different guest preferences. For example, the people who stayed after this guest reported on their comment sheet that they found the beds to be extremely comfortable. In 4 years of cabin ownership, this is the first comment we have ever had on the pillows--they are just normal bed pillows. Giving our guests a place to relax and unwind is one of our biggest goals, so I am glad that we achieved that during this stay.

  Great time had by all. Bed in Master needs upgrading (very squeaky and not the most comfortable), possibly consider a king. Very good location except highway noise at night, especially with the big trucks. Overall, we had a great time and cabin worked well for us.

  Owner response: This review has me a bit puzzled. Unfortunately it seems that it’s not possible to keep everyone happy, regardless of how hard we try. I sent and received no less than 57 emails with this guest, trying to work through his emergency family issues/cancellations, yet, he still found it necessary to complain about things that we are surprised to hear about (and don’t have complaints about). Our log-style queen beds are very high quality, but every guest has a different preference regarding bed softness or firmness. We leave comment forms for each guest to fill out when they leave, and several guests have commented on the quality and comfort level of the beds. In addition, when I cleaned the cabin this week, I could not get this bed to squeak at all, so I’m not sure what he meant by that. The cabin is located on nearly an acre of property on a quiet street with only five houses on the entire street. Two of the houses are vacant, so there is very little traffic on the road. The highway is about a block away, but highway noise is minimal and not something we hear people complain about.

  I had previously left a review saying the jets on the hot tub weren't working. Turns out they do work, we just didn't know we needed to turn the knob. It was a great time there!

  We were impressed with the cabin. It was very clean and had many things we needed. It was easy to do the clean up process (we were a little scared after reading a review about it). It says it has 5 bedrooms but the futon is in a hallway in between the main cabin and the garage, which you can close off with doors, but that is also where the main bathroom for that level is located. The bunk bed room is also very small. The hot tub was nice except not all the jets were working. All of that aside, we really enjoyed our time there. It was nice that we didn't have to bring a pack n play for our baby. It was also fun to play ping pong in the garage.

  Owner response: We really try to make sure that our cabin meets our guest needs and we strive to provide accurate information. We personally use VRBO to book our vacation lodging and know the frustration of not finding what was expected and try to be very clear in explaining what a guest can expect. We know from our personal experience with vacation rentals that these 2 rooms are not out of the ordinary, especially for the budget minded large family or group. We keep a close eye on other Bear Lake cabin rentals and are careful in our pricing to be competitive and fair. We feel we provide a great value and offer a true opportunity for a memorable experience.

  We just recently returned from a wonderful stay at this cabin. Everything was nice, and we especially enjoyed the view of the lake, the hot tub, the games, and the chance to relax and get away from it all with our family. We had plenty of room and everything was just as we had hoped it would be. Thanks for a great place to stay for our vacation.
