This house is nothing short of spectacular. The location, the amenities, the beach!!! We had 10 people in this house and had room to spare, 5 adults and 5 children. Who needs a restaurant when you have a kitchen like this, we ended up eating in most the time because it is a delight to cook, grill and eating on the patio overlooking the ocean. Each morning we woke up to the sound of crashing waves and watching dolphins cruising by the surfers. Great walking, jogging, biking, skateboarding right in front of the house. Just a quick walk and you are in downtown Carlsbad. As we drove away after our stay, my son's only question was, "So, when do we go back???"

Our family from Illinois and Arizona, just got back from a week at this extremely beautiful home. It has all the ammenities of the best 5 star hotels plus more. The photos and description are spot on. The owners were extremely helpful answering our questions before we arrived. Instructions and information sent to us prior to our arrival and information at the home were clear, concise and easy to follow. This is a very clean, well maintained home. Fixtures and furnishings are of the highest quality. We spent a lot of time at Disney Land, California Adventure and at Sea World in San Diego. We had very long days at these attractions and coming back to the house late at night was like coming home. We even squeezed in a day of golf. All routes to these locations are easily accessed from this house and travel times are minimal. . Our days at the ocean just across the street were fun and relaxing and the house has all the fun beach stuff a family needs. The beach is very well maintained with liftguards for the swimmers and surfers. We even saw dolphins the first day we arrived. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing vacation, close to many activities and attractions. We will definitely rent this home again.

We stayed 5 nights with two families at this wonderful home... 5 boys under age 8. The home is perfect for two families - with four bedrooms each having their own bath, we were never crowded or without privacy. The family room/kitchen/breakfast nook had more than enough space to accommodate both families during meals and downtime, although with a home like this even the "downtime" was exciting. So many hours were spent watching surfers, dog walkers, and people, we could have stayed in the house the entire five days and it would still feel like a vacation. We enjoyed the beach, Legoland, and San Diego. Highlights of this property: *Everything you need for a beach vacation is available - towels, pool toys, beach toys, beach chairs, even a cooler. *Layout of the house - two families can split between the two levels and have plenty of room and privacy. *Full kitchen - cooking meals is easy! But know that you will need to bring or purchase condiments, spices, etc. *Backyard pool - great size, shape, depth for small kids and being undercover helps minimize sunburn. * VIEWS cannot be beat. *Location - 5 minutes to Legoland, 25 minutes to San Diego, or take the scenic route all the way down the coast through La Jolla. Beautiful. Less than a mile into "downtown" Carlsbad. *Perfect family beach right across the street - tons of sand and space, we felt like we owned the beach! If we travel back to Carlsbad, staying in this home will be a first choice. I also want to thank Pam for her wonderful communication. She replied quickly to emails (a lot of them!) and was very easy to work with in planning our trip. Thanks for making our vacation great!!

We just returned from a week in this lovely house and it was fantastic. We traveled with six adults and four children - the location can't be beat and the house itself was roomy and had everything we needed. There are tons of towels, kitchen items, blankets, pillows, sand toys etc... You don't need to bring anything. The home's owners were extremely helpful and attentive if there was a question or concern. The view from the living room window is spectacular. I would recommend this property for a lovely relaxing beach vacation that is still close enough to Sand Diego and Del Mar for outings.

We just got back from a week with our family (Mom, Dad, 10 year old twins and a 7 year old) at this wonderful house in Carlsbad! WOW! The photos just don't do this justice, it's even more amazing in person! We loved the pool and the rooftop hot tub, the beautiful views every minute of the day, the dolphins and surfers getting their exercise right in front of the house, the smell of the ocean and the sight of gorgeous Pacific sunsets. We visited Disney, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland and the Flower Fields. I would have gladly traded a few of those attractions for more time just relaxing in the hot tub and pool and walking on the beach! The owners have done a great job decorating this house and making it a very comfortable rental. The kitchen is well-stocked and ready for cooking. The house is clean, well-maintained and so user-friendly. A dumb-waiter! Thermador appliances! 2 washers and dryers! Baskets of fluffly towels in every bathroom! Beach towels! A private pool with waterfalls in the back yard! A big gas grill on the patio overlooking the ocean! A hot tub on the roof with views that are just breath-taking! Marble floors! It was all amazing... The walk into Carlsbad is pleasant and Carlsbad is a lovely little beach town with lots of restaurants and shiny, happy people walking and running. We are so sad to be home. This was a great vacation! Thanks!!

We stayed 6 nights at this beautiful home with our two families. (total of four boys 9 and under). Went to Legoland twice, the beach 4 times, took surfing lessons by Heather Pine. What a fantastic trip! The gourmet kitchen is PERFECT - fully stocked with cookware and every possible thing you could need - bring your own spices. Went to Trader Joe's and ate amazing meals! We enjoyed coffee every morning on the beautiful patio, watching the surfers. Same gorgeous setting each night with a glass of wine. The kids truly loved the hot tub on the roof, and so did we! The laundry facilities and beautiful bedroom accommodations made this so easy. I would highly recommend this property! The house is truly amazing and comfortable, and immaculate. The owners are obviously grandparents because they have wonderful sand and pool toys. Restaurants are within walking distance, but you'll likely not want to leave this beautiful setting! (very nice Italian restaurant next door, and the others are about 0.7 miles away). Perfect for walking on the beach or running! Bring a kite. Strawberry picking outside Legoland great. Fun to take the Coaster train in to San Diego and tour the USS Midway with kids.

We just spent a week at this home with our two little boys, our dear friends from Chicago and a couple of cousins from Washington. We had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed all this home has to offer. The views are amazing and we really did watch dolphins from the deck! If you have little ones, the home is well equipped for them as well. We also love to cook and were impressed that the kitchen had everything we needed, and more! All in all, a fabulous home!

Our Family spend a week in June and the accomodations were fantastic. The balcony was our favorite spot. We enjoyed many hours watching the waves, surfers, dolphins, dogwalkers, cars, sunsetsetc. The kitchen was wonderful and not a chore to cook with the ocean view, ample space, great appliances and everything you need. The rooftop deck with the spa was the 2nd favorite spot. There was so much room in the house that we never got in each other's way and you could find a spot away from everyone else if you wanted. The beach is right there and everything you would want to do is near by. We hope to come back next year. I would highly recommend this property.

If you are going to spend time in Carlsbad, there isn't a better place to stay. This house is AMAZING and the location is just the same - across the street from a great beach and walking distance to Carlsbad village. The house has every upscale ammenity imaginable complete with a pool, jacuzzi and hot tub on the roof. Even though this house is well suited for those who have very upscale taste, it is also very condusive to families and children (complete with a toy closet and pool toys). The owners are wonderful and gracious - the best hosts who have alot of pride in their property. We plan to come back and stay again. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

This is a wonderful place for a family group. The layout is efficient, it is across the road from the beach, the views are gorgeous and the amenities, especially the kitchen family areas and pool and spa, are wonderful. We stayed with our 2 childrens families (6 adults, 3 small children) and had a great time. The views at sunset were spectacular.

WOW! We are so grateful and feel so blessed to have stayed in your incredible home. Many times you have expectations of places and they usually fall a little short. This was not the case with your home. We felt like God really blessed us through the use of your home. Everything was in such great condition and quality. The sunsets on the rooftop in the jacuzzi was the best. Fantastic location and of course great surfing. We would love to stay again sometime. Thanks again! Fred, Mitzi, Josh, Zach and Jacob
