2-story home is located on Rushford Lake at bottom of hill. Gravel drive is steeper; limited to 4WD vehicles. Parking for 1 car at foot of drive, in front of house. General parking at top of hill, on Glen Rd. with lighted stairway down to house. Driveway shared with neighbor.
All floors are either hardwood or ceramic tile. Kitchen counter is ceramic tile. Home is non-smoking
Living Room seating includes: leather sofa bed + leather chair & hassock + 2 recliners
3 Baths: 2nd floor Lavatory has new ceramic shower; 1st floor Lavatory has ceramic tile shower; 3rd Lavatory w/ shower in our new 'Flop House' room in lower level has new vanity, toilet and ceramic floor.
The 'flop house' room on the lower level is 8'x14' with 2 foutons, a wall-mounted TV and glass / screened french doors. It is accessable only from outside. This room is suitable for sleeping teenagers who don't require supervision or adults....with sleeping bags. The 'flop house' contains the 3rd lavatory described above.
Property is on hillside. Retaining-wall drops into 8' of water, but there is a small wading area; children must be supervised as water does become deeper quickly. Swim shoes are recommended. 2 Swim ladders provided, 1 from retaining wall & 1 from dock.
Dock space for 1 boat. Lake has public boat launch; call R&K Marina for possible rental info.
Country Store approx. 2-miles West on Rt. 243
NOTE: This home is also available for a 6-month off-season rental, November thru April. Understand: --location is isolated in winter; --the view changes as the lake is drained mid-October, leaving an exposed mud or snow-covered lake bed until the water level is brought up again in April/May; --Glen Road is not plowed in the winter; --use of the driveway is not permitted when ice is present, even with 4WD. Therefore, one must park above and walk up / down the 62 stairs to the deck; stairs are lighted.

Why the Owner Chose Rushford
I particularly love this location for several reasons: 1) no need to cross a border to get there; 2) the water in Rushford Lake is constantly moving....no stagnation...great for swimming 3) the lake is big enough to provide fun boating 4) the water level is lowered every winter, minimizing the effects of winter ice on our docks and permitting owners to perform maintenance on docks and retaining walls 5) great community of fun people who care about the lake and about each other.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I have all the comforts of home, but I'm away from home; this is a home, not a cottage. We can swim right outside the front door, no need to drive or walk to the beach. I particularly love the covered deck on rainy days.
