Great weekend/beach getaway

My husband and I wanted to get away to the beach for a few days with our 2 small dogs. I am glad I found this property that would accomodate us with our two well-behaved dogs. We have tried other properties in the area and this is the 1st time I have found a property I would return to. Patti was great to work with in all arrangements and returned our deposit promptly. The pictures on the website were accurate in reflecting the property. Size was adequte for 2 people and the location was perfect, not right on the beach/boardwalk so it was very quiet and only a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the fact we could walk to breakfast at our favorite resturant Zanzibar. We had alot of dinner options within walking distance and La Jolla with all its wonderful restaurants and shops is only a short drive from Pacific Beach. The landscaping around the property was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for coffee or a glass of wine. We would definitely rent this property again.

We came all the way from Germany to Pacific Beach and it really was worth it. The place was just wonderful and the appartment was, too. We enjoyed it very much and there was everything we needed. We recommend the place to everybody who liked to live at a really beautiful relaxing place for some time!

Perfect place for a extended weekend getaway

MY husband and I traveled to San Diego to celebrate my 40th b-day. We had orginally booked rooms and the Pacific Terrace Hotel (just few blocks from this property) but changed are mind when I saw this cute little bungalow. Since we were traveling w/o our 2 little ones we thought it would be much more fun to stay somewhere where we could cook meals, have more space and privacy. This place was perfect! We hardly saw antother person! A HUGE plus was the bikes and beach chairs! We only rented a car the last 2 days we were there and used the bikes to explore EVERYWHERE! we rode all around mission bay and even up to La Jolla for lunch. Pacific Beach was a fabulous location to be! Central to everything! A very young part of town but that is what we wanted! Walking distance to great (and reasonable!) restaurants, bars, and shops....and of course..the beach! We had a great time people watching and were lucky to have record high temps...we walked to the beach every afternoon and relaxed. The house was just like the pics. SUper clean and fully equipped! Would stay again in a heartbeat but may have to get the 2 bedroom if we decide to bring our kiddos.

Great little apt.

3 of us stayed in August, 2010. It was a great apt, had a patio with a bbq grill and nice applicances. The bikes were great, there were boogie boards, helmets, a cooler, and beach chairs. It was a nice walk to the stores and beach, so you don't really need a car, although there is a garage at the back of the property. Patti was great to work with, and I already have told friends about the property and how nice it was. I would totally enjoy going back there for another visit!

Pacific Beach 1 bedroom 1 bath/tup/shower

Excellent location with a short walk to the beach and many restaurants. Very clean unit with WiFi, and an excellent kitchen for real gourmet cooking. Nice outdoor patio with large table and benches, nice grill with utensils, and two comfortable padded chairs with ottomans to soak up the sun. No looking for parking as this also came with a one-car garage. We definitely prefer this to a hotel room as you have all of the conveniences of home. Can't wait to return!

Good, with some improvements needed

We stayed here for our honeymoon in October. The condo really is lovely and as othe reviewers have noted, it's in a great location in Pacific Beach. The garage, while quite small, is terrific, and the patio is beautiful. We just had small issues with the property that just made us feel slightly unwelcome for the price we had paid - we couldn't find an iron, though we looked everywhere (found an ironing board, though); the TV reception was terrible and we could never watch a show the entire time we were there; some of the dishes were not particularly clean; one part of the toilet was broken; the bike helmets were not two adult helmets and one of the bike locks didn't work. When we called Patti, she did quickly send over her maintenance person - though the TV reception never got better, and the toilet continued to have problems. We felt that these sorts of things could have been avoided if the condo had been thoroughly looked over before we arrived. So overall, we enjoyed our stay and we'd recommend the place, but we strongly suggest that the rental company spend more significant time before each new renter arrives to ensure the place really is as welcoming as it can be.

Highly Recommended Property

My wife and I stayed at this property for a few days in September. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the beach, plenty of bars and restaurants - our rental car was parked up most of the time. The garage is a little small if you have a large SUV but there is plenty of free on street parking right outside. The apartment has everything you need. From the washer and dryer, nice patio outside, BBQ, beach chairs, bikes. Decent size comfortable bed, nicely decorated, really fast wifi... Everything that the advert describes. On top of that Patti was great to deal with, no hassle or delay in bookings, always responded to email queries, promptly returned deposit, and even stopped by for a few minutes when we first got there. I would definitely stay at this property again if I was in the Pacific Beach area, and I would highly recommend it for 2 or 3 people - it might be a little crowded for 4. The only potential downside is that the property did not have air conditioning, although there was a fan in the bedroom and the temp dropped during the night to make it more comfortable.

Even Better than it Looks!

This is a wonderful apartment for two. It's within walking distance of the ocean, the bay, grocery stores (four blocks from Trader Joe's), shops, and restaurants. We walked to dinner at a different restaurant every night and all the meals were great. The apartment is also convenient to any place you would want to go in the San Diego area. We went to the zoo, the harbor, Petco Park, Coronado Island, and La Jolla and never spent more than 20 minutes in the car. Note: San Diego has mostly metered, on-street parking, so bring lots of quarters! The apartment was spotlessly clean, has very comfortable furniture and high-end appliances. Although we didn't cook, it would be easy to prepare any kind of meal in the kitchen. Patti was very friendly and eager to assist with anything, although we had no problems at all. The garage is a god-send in this area, and the washer and dryer are great. I'd recommend this apartment to anyone.
