living room with marble fireplace, large flat panel TV and sofa bed - Paris, France Apartment Walk to the Latin Quarter I chose this apartment for its location; steps from the Luxembourg Garden entrance where there are pony rides,a children's playground, puppet theater, tennis and basketball courts,a jogging track, "boules",chess players and a carrousel. It feels like home, not a hotel, because it is my home when I'm in Paris. It can be your home too when you stay in Paris. If you have young kids this location next to the Gardens is a must. They will have a blast just as my 5 year-old son did. This two bedroom,two bath, two balcony, spacious, luxury apartment is in Paris' most desirable quarter for it is peaceful but centrally located. You will sleep well at night in the cozy rear of the building, yet have an easy walk to the Luxembourg Gardens entrance (5 minutes) famous restaurants(Coupole, Dome, Lutetia, Helene Darroze are 10 minutes walk), Latin Quarter cafés, Montmatre, the Odeon theater, the active Raspail open air market, shopping(Bon Marche), the Alliance Francais, theaters, St. Suplice church, movies and monuments. The fashion headquarters for Sonia Rykiel is half a block away. Our congenial apartment manager lives one block away and is easily accessible to help orient visitors and assist with any questions that may arise. The building is on rue Huysmans, named for a 19th century author. We are a few blocks from two police stations. The neighborhood is extremely safe. Three metro stops, five bus lines and a taxi station are close to the apartment. The location affords easy access to the entire city. The building is 1900 vintage with high ceilings and elaborate wall/ceiling moldings. The fifth floor(US) apartment is spacious with 1075 sq ft plus two balconies. The decorator designed apartment is furnished mostly in expensive antique furniture. It is also well-appointed with all the most modern conveniences. The kitchen is brand new and features the highest quality built-in appliances from Miele and Bosch. It is fully equipped with top line cooking utensils, pots, pans, 500 thread count sheets,bath sheets, silver candlesticks, original paintings, 19th century gilded mirror, chiming mantle clock, etc. Everything is BRAND NEW except the antiques. I have not bought anything from Ikea. The apartment is wired - WiFi and laptop, 2 large flat panel TV's and FREE WORLDWIDE PHONE SERVICE (the globe except Africa and South America) and a cell phone. There are also two brand new AIR CONDITIONING units. You will enjoy your stay. I want you to return.
