  My husband and I had our wedding reception at this location. It was absolutely beautiful! We got married in Monterey, so it was nice to come back to this property where is was much warmer then at the beach. We set up the courtyard with long tables and beautiful flowers. The only negative is that we were not allowed to have a DJ (which would have been really nice!). However, Marty does have the full music setup with outdoors speakers and that worked out ok. Also, the grassy areas of the property are just gorgeous! Marty arranged for the grounds to be manicured right before the wedding, so the property was just stunning. The best part is the parking! This property has a LOT of space for cars! It was just amazing! Marty is a gem in the hills! He was extremely patient and helpful with our arrangements and had the most wonderful advice and suggestions. We hope to celebrate many anniversaries her,e if they'll have us. We will forever hold this home and Marty and Kim in a special place in our hearts!

  We rented this property when our son was married in Monterey, and held the rehearsal dinner on the patio and in the guest house. It was terrific! There was so much space, the weather was wonderful, and everyone enjoyed themselves. We were able to relax, knowing there was the hot tub, pool table, and plenty of room for conversations. The guest house has one wall that opens completely, thus allowing people to flow in and out, to the bar, and to the buffet (which we set up outside). We had about 50 people, and didn't feel crowded at all. We even set up the barbeque for s'mores for dessert! And, because there were two houses, we were able to keep extended family nearby, including the groom's elderly grandma. The downstairs bedroom with adjoining bath was great for her, and it was a relief to all of us that she could join us and still get around. The owners were terrific - very friendly and accommodating. Decor is attractive and serviceable, and there were a ton of dishes and other supplies that made having a party easy. We were very happy with the whole set-up, and it was wonderful to have a relaxing retreat after the wedding as well.

  This home was the perfect place for our family vacation and the hosts were so kind to us. We loved grilling and eating on the patio and the guest house was a great place to gather and play pool and enjoy the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to visit it again some day.

  Question: Where is the ideal place for 8 golfers to stay when playing Monterey's finest tracks like Pebble Beach, Spy Glass, Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills, Blackhorse/Bayonet? Answer? THIS PLACE. Trying to find a place big enough to get 8 individuals in seperate beds is really difficult. The big house was quiet/clean/comfortable. The pool table house allowed for a group dinner/music/poker game. Two houses on one property is ideal for a getaway like this. I was surprised to find snacks and bottled water generously laid out for our free consumption. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the audio sound system. The best part - the patio. All the grillin' utensils/gas/charcoal, etc. were supplied by the owner. Everyone on the trip was happy. No complaints. Thanks for your generosity, Marty!!

  Eleven members of our family gathered for a few days to greet the New Year at Kim and Marty's place. It was just the ticket in terms of beauty, cleanliness, location, with plenty of room for all of us. The guest house became the center of all our activities, since it had a great patio and plenty of room inside as well. Everyone enjoyed the stay and are looking forward to a repeat performance. Our visit turned out to be a real highlight for the year. Thank you, Kim and Marty Carl and family

  We had the most fantastic stay at this property. We rented the house with our siblings and siblings-in-law, and we also got married on the property. It was even better than we could have imagined it would be: the houses had everything we could possibly want, and everyone loved staying there. The owners were helpful at every turn. I would recommend this house wholeheartedly.

  My family held our first annual reunion here earlier this month and I've got to report to you that this property soared way above my wildest expectations. The two homes on the property were perfect for our needs. The main house was a perfect getaway for those lucky enough to get a room. They were so happy about their stay that they told everyone how comfortable the rooms were. As for the smaller house its apparent it was designed to entertain, the younger generation enjoyed the pool table, while our famed cooks took over the gourmet kitchen. Its also held a wide screen tv and all the fixings of good electronics, the laundry room blew me away. Outside in the courtyard there was plenty of seat for everyone to feel comfortable as they ate and mingled. I was most impressed with the outdoor kitchen. Bobby Flay would have been delighted to host a smack down there. I was able to take a walk around the property- it is serene and calming- a perfect vacation home for any family to relax and enjoy each other. The owners are welcoming and very friendly. They offered to be there to help with any problems that might occur during our stay. They also informed us where the nearest stores were and how to get to the Aquarium in Monterey. Their attentiveness to us was impressive. The only drawback I have is that their was barely enough parking for our reunion, but then again we'd need a parking lot the size of Target to fit all seventy of us. So it really isn't the problem of the owners but maybe next year (and there will be a 2nd Annual Reunion there I guarantee it!) we will employ the help of our new drivers to be our valets. SERIOUSLY, if you are looking for a rental home in the area- LOOK NO MORE! This place is well worth its cost, if not more! The memories you make here are priceless! Go on hurry up and reserve it, because once the word gets out on how absolutely wonderful this place is, its going to be booked till the middle of the next century! No lie, this property is that good!

  We had a fantastic 5 day stay and family renion over the 4th of July. Family members travelled from (4) east coast states to Monterey to spend time with west coast members. The property was exceptionally clean, decorative, pleasing and had everything anyone would need for a stay. Outdoor grilling every evening on the hugh patio and family time made for a enjoyable experience. Each day was full of activity and plenty of nearby locations for shopping, touring and even our golf day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that's looking for a beautiful location in the area. The owners are great people and treated us exceptionally well. Much thanks to them for sharing the two beautiful homes on their property and being there to welcome us from our long trip. Marty...your home was well beyond our expectations!!! Thank you so much for your part in making our time there extremely enjoyable and memorable. VRBO is definitely worth considering for travelling. • Superb Property!!!

  We just spent (5) days for a family reunion/vacation. Eleven of us travelled from (4) east coast states in order to spend time with members on the west coast. This property is fantastic and was beyond our expectations. State of the art outdoor grilling equipment and a hugh furnished patio area made for enjoyable outdoor dining every evening. The (2) houses were ideal, plenty of space and the children had plenty of outdoor space to play games and enjoy the playhouse. Shopping and tour places were only short drives away in any direction. The house was even close enough to the course we used for our golf day. Marty was there to greet us and is just a wonderful guy. We had everything we needed to make it a pleasant stay. Marty & Kim you are extraordinary and have a lovely place. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in the Monterey area. Marty, thanks for your professionalism and the privacy extended to the family to provide a marvelous experience. You helped us to have an enjoyable time and create many wonderful memories.   This property exceeded every expectation I had. I lead a group of 20 cyclists around California and finding a "home away from home" is always my challenge. This property is upscale and beautifully appointed. In fact, every single cyclist repeatedly thanked me for finding it. I am also a chef and the kitchen(s) had everything I needed in the way of platters, casserole dishes, salad bowls, whips, etc. They now call me Iron Chef Monterey! The BBQ area is luxurious~seating for a group was a pleasure. It was a perfect Big Chill weekend and the owners definitely under sold and over delivered. We are hoping to return soon!!!! Did I mention jacuzzy tub and outdoor hot tub? Playhouse for children? Fabulous!!!!!!!!
