First of all, we were met at the ferry and were helped with all our bags to the Watermark. The accommodations are incredible! We arrived with 15 people (the youngest at 14yrs. old), everyone found a place to sleep. Although there were some crazy bunk beds in a converted closet we had to squeeze our petite 14yr. old into, the house suited all our needs. There are tv's in every beautiful bedroom. Some rooms were a little nicer than others, but no one complained since we didn't spend much time in them anyhow. The very well equipped galley kitchen was a bit cramped for any more than a few people to work in at a time. The great room and all the seating areas worked out well. The best part about this place was definitely the outside out back. It has a fully appointed outdoor kitchen and eating area, along with a small dipping pool, a large gazebo with a comfortable seating area and there's a nice deck with lounge chairs. The beach is only steps away, and was beautiful and fun to snorkel. We rented golf carts and the road to town was a bit rough (not paved). A warning to all.... you can not drive your carts into town unless you have procured a key to the locked gate that allows you to go through to the other side. We were able to get a couple of these keys (at Harbours Edge) because we had 2 people on crutches. Its worth checking out the other end of the island. There is a larger grocery store (that delivered our order to us), more restaurants and best of all paved scenic roads. We enjoyed eating at Munchies, Capt'n Jacks's & upscale Harbour House. Don't miss the ice cream at the Sugar Shack or the coffee, pastries and quiche at the Coffee House. We never got a chance to check out the lighthouse, maybe next time. I would highly recommend this place to any large group wanting a peaceful beautiful vacation villa on a small island with just enough to do and see.Did you find this review helpful? I highly recommend staying at the WaterMark Villa in Hope Town. The beautiful house is on the north end of Elbow Cay. It is in the perfect location. Walking distance to Historic Hope Town, which has a coffee shop, neighborhood grocery, friendly bars and great restaurants. The beach is right in back of the house, although you can see the inlet side of the ocean from the front of the house only 100 yards away. So literally there are beautiful views in every direction. The beach out back is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The powder-white soft sand glides into the crystal clear water which has outcroppings of reef spread between the ocean floor. The reefs are teaming with life. I snorkeled for hours every day. Snorkeling down there is like being in a tropical rain forest without the leaves. The house itself is spectacular. It has six bedrooms but it can sleep an army. The outdoor kitchen would impress any iron chef and the pool is a little blue topaz in the center of everything. I am not going to mention the inside of the house because words don’t do it justice. Needless to say it’s beautifully decorated furthermore it is a great place for kids or people with special needs. Everything you want, accessible by anyone. Even though you’d be totally content never leaving the house, the island itself is beyond amazing. World class fishing is a given. You aren’t going to find these big fish in such large numbers anywhere else in the world, due to the fact that only the biggest & strongest fish break out of the Gulf Stream and make it to this fish sanctuary where they grow to an enormous size. Then there’s the surf. I won’t mention the names of the spots out of respect for the local surfers, but believe me there is a left hand reef break that is world class. I caught this wave with my friend and only one other person out. It was 6 to 8 foot, glassy and heaving. Every wave was a guaranteed barrel if you made the drop. The drop was super heavy but if you make it, then positioned yourself for the barrel; you’re gonna get one hell of a ride! The wave spits you into the channel as reef ends while your friend, who is paddling back out, is grinning from ear to at the barrel you just got. There is another wave just to the south which is bigger and holds more swell but it’s not as heavy. Then just south of that reef is a super fun skate park type of wave. The island is consistent too, due to the lack of continental shelf and open ocean exposure, so it’s aRecommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My family and I recently returned from a week's stay at Watermark...WHAT A WEEK!! The accomodations were phenominal. The views from the bedrooms are out of this world. Everything was just great. The town is a short golf cart (provided) ride away and recommended. There are also several secluded beaches that are easily accessable on the island and worth a quick ride for much younger children (bay like water...very still). The snorkling, off of the reefs at the bottom of the house's stairs, is fun too. Everything was in tip-top shape when we arrived, and just as it was explained above. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a secluded get-a-way with or without children! We stayed with multiple families at the same time and loved every minute...plenty of room! ENJOY!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This is hands down the most beautiful and best outfitted home on Elbow Cay. Great pool and incredible ocean and sunset views, and in immaculate condition. Very attractive interior which seamlessly accommodates 3-4 families. Quick access to a pier on the Sea of Abaco and stairs to the ocean beach with great reef exploring out front. Serene north side spot and seriously the most beautiful hilltop location you can imagine. The owners did it right, I would highly recommend it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.
