For the cyclist, runner, biker, swimmer, kayaker, hiker, bird watcher, fisher, boater or professional relaxer, this place is paradise. This 3400 square foot house is a great family retreat. Sitting 1/2 mile off of Hwy 74 on a 10 acre tract, gives the house privacy with proximity to lots of local "to do's". In the summertime the lake is great for fishing, swimming and boating, and in the winter time the lake turns into a beautiful rushing river full of fish and rapids.
There are two queens, one king, one bunk bed, one twin and two queen futons. There are two living areas, each with a fireplace. A huge yard, formerly owned by a local master gardener with a penchant for beautiful plants.
The back deck overlooks the Little Tennessee River Basin and three mountain ranges. In early winter as you sit on the deck, you can enjoy the colors of millions of hardwood trees turning upon the mountain side, and listen to the sounds of the rushing river. The house was remodeled in 2006, and is beautifully decorated with new furnishings throughout. Large windows provide long range mountain views from almost every room in the house.
Take a meandering walk along the road to the lake and a trail shoots off to the lake. Nearby are several National Parks and a jet boat company that has a great boat and hike combination trip for any skill level hiker. |
