It's a Family Affair at 28 Mako Drive, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, 32459 -South of 30A (Gulf side). Located just over a mile from Seaside, in the Seagrove Beach area halfway between Destin and Panama City (20 minutes either way)

You can SEE and HEAR the waves of the Gulf of Mexico kissing the sugar white sand from every ocean view window or either of your two sprawling ocean view decks at Family Affair. You are only 100 footprints away from the pristine Beaches of the Emerald Coast. Take a short stroll along your private naturally shaded pathway and beach access to be transported to the cleanest and most beautiful beach on the Florida Panhandle. Family Affair is Pet Friendly. Pets can invite their people to join them, if their people are well trained and behave themselves.
First Floor: The first floor of Family Affair houses covered parking spots and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a gorgeous day at the beach.
Second Floor: Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico from the entrance deck. Inside you will find the living room, dining room and full kitchen. The second floor bedroom has a Full size bed with a full bathroom shared with the living area. Need to wash your beach towels? No sweat! A full sized washer and dryer are located in the laundry room just off the kitchen.
Third Floor: As you head up the spiral staircase you will find the Queen Master Suite with a private bathroom. The bunk room with a private bath is adjacent to the Master Suite. Want to enjoy the Sunrise? Step outside onto the third floor deck and take it all in.

We had a great time! The two queen beds and bunk room were perfect for our family! We loved the little path to the beach and our own private pool was a definant plus! Although you think it would be less crowded this time of year we had a great time mingling with the crowds! We rented bikes through LiveWell that made it easier to get to and around Seaside during the day. Thanks for the memories!

We enjoyed our last stay at family affair. It was out second trip to the property and we still can't get over the fantastic location. Having a pool for our kids and being that close to the beach is the real reason we will be back again soon! The staff is always helpful making it easy to decide for a repeat visit. See you again soon!

My family and I just stayed here for the Fourth of July and it was a fairly nice place, except for a few issues. First of all, and you should know about this, but there is only ONE queen size bed. This was a huge disappointment for us because we had our elderly parents with us and they had difficulty sleeping in the full size bed on the second floor. I believe the photos of the place are old because the sign in the photos no longer looks the same. We have used vrbo.com for seven years now and this is the first time the property was misrepresented. Other than the bed issue, the smoke alarms went off for no reason and every toilet malfunctioned during the week we were there. Since the place is for sale, I can only imagine that it is in need of some work and the owner wants to avoid having to do any of it... Everything else was great though, but I felt like people should know about the issues we had. It was a great location and very close to the beach.
Owner response:We have changed the information to show that the property has a Queen Master and a Full in the other Bedroom. We also are discussing with the owner about changing back to the original Queen he had in the property. The only picture that is not accurate of the property is the sign to the beach access. The original sign was destroyed during a storm. We don't feel that is really an issue on what kind of sign is pointing to the beach access. As far as the Smoke detector and Toilet issues. We respond very quickly and take care of all maintenance calls as soon as we receive them. That being said we did not have one call from that reviewer regarding any issues. We feel the comments are unfair regarding those issues since we were not notified and did not have a chance to respond and take care of them. We strive on fast response and making sure we take care of any issues that may arise. If we are not told of a problem we definitely can't respond and take care of it in the short time we normally do.

This house is in a very good location and is within walking distance to Sea Side. There is a bike rental store next to the house as well as a fresh seafood market. We have stayed in several vacation rentals and this place had the most well stocked kitchen I have seen. Very nice beach views from both levels of the house. I would stay there again. George (the owner) was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. The walkway to the beach has it's own private stairs going to a fairly private area of the beach. We had a good 200 yards of beachline to ourselves every day.

I looked for 3 days for the perfect vacation rental that my family would love and...I found it! The owner was just the best. He worked on getting us in quickly and it all went smoothly. The owner is very personable and truly wanted us to love his rental. which we all did. It comfortably held myself, husband and 3 grown 20 year old boys, men I mean. The house is private with a beautiful view of the gulf from the first and second balconies. The interior is so pretty and the beds (3 bedrooms) were very comfy. The baths-3 full-were stocked with nice thick towels. The beach path was cut through a grove and wound just steps away to the beautiful white sand beach. Well worth the price especially when you pay more for those crowded resorts. This is going to be the rental I use from now on. Thanks George! Pixie Lent

Excellent getaway vacation spot! Pefect for a family vacation. My fiance and I went there for a little weekend vacation and we are considering going back next summer for our honeymoon. The atmosphere is beach all the way. From the colorful theme interior to the private shady walk to the beach, I give this spot a perfect 10 out of 10.
