My husband and I were planning a last minute trip to South Padre with my step daughter and luckily this condo was available for the weekend. The owner Greg was very accomodating and even let us check in a little early and out a little late since we were only staying for 2 nights. There are three sliding doors that lead to balconies, one in the living room and each bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need and the view is amazing from the living room balcony. You can catch the Friday night fireworks off the bedroom balcony around 9pm. The pool area is very nice and was much less crowded than the one at the La Quinta during our last stay in Padre. The living room is small but we didn't spend much time there anyway so it didn't matter to us. For more than 4 people it would be a little tight but it was perfect for what we needed. It looks as if the condo was recently remodeled. There were nice appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen. Great place to stay!

My family and I just loved this place. We stayed July 10 - 16, 2011. The views and pictures in this listing do not do it justice. It was even better in person. This condo has totally been remodeled and is very clean. The kitchen has everything you need, even a blender! The bbq and pool area was another wonderful place to relax, we invited our inlaws for dinner (who were staying at another pricier hotel). And they were also amazed at these living arrangements and were immediately inquisitive on maybe staying here next year. Just too much more to list. If anyone has reservations about staying here, DON'T! Oh, and Johnny, the property manager / cleaning guy was also very helpful, very nice and professional.

Great Value! Absolutely right on the beach, walking distance to great restaurants, bars, shopping, and the only grocery store on the island (felt guilty taking the car to go eat). Condo is clean with nicely updated kitchen. Parking is convenient. BBQ poolside and then chasing crabs at night via flashlight & bucket - priceless.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with young children.

What a lovely complex Aquarius is. The grounds are lush and impeccably maintained; a highlight of our stay was barbecuing at one of the three picnic sites that dot the grounds. The pool is lovely, and the staff great. This condo, however, leaves much to be desired. We arrived to a broken bed in the second bedroom, which forced us to completely alter our sleeping arrangements. The shower is icky, and the kitchen lacked basic items like a potato peeler, hot pads, and anything larger than a 2 qt. saucepan. Most disappointing, however, was the fact that the first night we used the dishwasher, the entire kitchen was flooded with water. When we called the owner the next morning to let him know about the situation, nothing was done during the entire week of our stay to fix the situation. I ended up washing all of our dishes by hand for the duration of the week, and for all I know, there's still gross standing water at the bottom of the dishwasher, because no one came to service it while we were there. The highlight of the apartment was the view. However, we now know about other units in Aquarius that have been recently renovated that are much nicer than this condo, and we'll be renting one of those updated, nicer units next time around, for roughly the same cost as our disappointing stay in this condo.

The view was amazing and the central location was fun. The grounds are well maintained with green grass and new landscaping. The beach access is right out the back gate. The condo itself could use some updating, i.e. appliances and bathroom, but absolutely worth the price. Would book again next summer!

The condo seemed older (mainly the shower), but it was very clean. The pictures that you see are exactly how the condo looks on the inside. There was plenty of towels, dishes, pots, pans, etc. The only thing I would recommend would be to take quarters and laundry detergent if you are planning a week stay and want to wash towels or your clothes. The view was absolutely amazing!! The balcony was huge and there is direct beach access so you don't have to worry about driving or walking miles to get to a beach. It was definitely worth it for the price! The owner was very prompt to answer any questions and all business transactions were done in a professional manner. I will definitely be coming back to this same condo and recommend it to anyone else.

My family stayed over a weekend and there was not much to complain about. The condo has held up quite well, but is definitely showing it's age around some parts of the unit. The view was perfect. The rate was great. The owner was very professional and all of the transactions were done in a timely manner.
