Beautiful Beach House in Kinnekeet Shores Avon, North Carolina with lake, sound and lighthouse views!
Our lovely home, Crosswind, is on the soundfront bordering the Cape Hatteras National Seashore with glorious sunsets and lighthouse view. Available all year long for weekly, monthly and long get-away weekends!
Crosswind features on the first floor one bedroom with two bunk beds and cable TV/VCR and another bedroom with two singles and a stereo that share a bathroom. There is also a master bedroom with a queen bed cable TV/VCR/DVD on this floor.
The upper second floor features a very spacious great room, dining room, kitchen combo. There is also another master bedroom with a queen bed with cable, private balcony and crow's nest for beautiful panoramic sound views on this floor.
All bedrooms have access to the outside BBQ area and upper/lower decks. Enjoy the screened in porch with hot tub area and picnic table.
Outside is plenty of parking, charcoal grilling area, hot and cold water enclosed showers, fish cleaning table and plenty of water sport equipment storage space.
Watch breathtaking sunsets from the porch or relax while sitting in a brand new hot tub. Olympic size and kiddie community pools and tennis available down the street. Grocery and tourist shopping, hardware store and bank, restaurants and the island's only cinema within a two-minute walk!
There are many historical sites to visit near by - Chicamacomaco and Little Kinnekeet Life Saving Stations, Hatteras and Bodie Lighthouses, Graveyard of the Atlantic and Frisco Native American Museum.
For the avid fisherman, you are minutes away from the Point and there is also Oregon Inlet--an excellent fishing hole with charter boats going out daily. The Island also has beach fishing and piers galore. There is a free ferry to pristine Ocracoke Island, a great place to take a day trip. Scuba diving, kite boarding, surfing, kayaking and sailing are all near by. Canadian hole--a prime wind surfing spot and four-wheel drive beach access entry is only moments down the road.
For the nature lover, Pea Island Wildlife Refuge has walking trails, birding and offers kid-friendly activities.
And . . . for those who want to take a break from everything, concierge and linen service can be provided, just ask for details.
Most of the activities such as watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets, nature walks, birding, sight-seeing, museums and shelling are available year round so visit during the off-season to take advantage of lower rates and more solitude and peace!
