Two friends and I were in Vancouver to run the SeaWheeze half marathon. Close proximity to the race start and finish was key for us. This unit, located in Le Soleil Hotel was perfect for us. The price was fair and the hotel staff was very friendly, even though we were not "technically" hotel guests. The condo was clean and comfortable. The weather was fantastic so we were able to have the windows open and enjoy the very large penthouse balcony. We appreciated the refridgerator, plates, glasses, and utinsels. We did not use the microwave nor the coffee maker. Much easier to walk across the street to Starbucks. Two of us slept in the king bed and one was on the sleeper sofa. We all slept well and had no complaints - other than the loud bird sounds at night. We thought they were seagulls but found they were "city birds." The chirping was rather amusing and we adjusted in spite of their obvious desire to keep us awake at night. (We don't get many bird sounds in Texas.) All-in-all, it was a great trip, great run, and perfect accommodations. Much thanks to the Irvings for letting us use their condo.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is a hotel room owned by ten investors that don't take care of the unit. They "pay" someone to clean, but it was filthy. We arrived at 1 pm. and were told that it would be cleaned by 4. It wasn't. They had a guy from the hotel change the sheets and give us 2 towels. We bought Lysol and cleaned the best we could considering we had already paid for 7 days. We did receive the cleaning fee. ThanksOwner response: I would like to respond to the negative review posted by a dissatisfied gentleman. I acknowledge the unit was not cleaned upon their arrival however I allowed the gentleman and his partner access to the unit prior to the 4pm check in time as they were arriving in Vancouver that morning. They were aware guests were leaving that morning and the unit needed to be cleaned. The cleaner unfortunately did not arrive until after 6pm and apparently did not clean to their satisfaction. The next day I refunded their cleaning fee plus taxes for the week which I notice they did not recognize in their review. They appeared to be happy as I talked to them several times and provided suggestions on attractions and restaurants. It was not until they arrived back home they sent an email requesting a further refund or they would send a nasty review which they have. If the gentlemen were so upset why did they stay 5 more days with plenty of opportunity to voice the disatisfaction or request a full refund. They did neither. There have been several guests who have stayed since the gentlemen left who have been very happy with the unit.

We spent a delightful week in Vancouver comfortably based in this elegant apartment. The location is perfect--near to all the main sites for exploration and great restaurants and cruise ships. The apartment is very tasteful and quiet, located in a lovely boutique hotel. Because it is on the 16th floor, it is bright and sunny and also cosy for the one rainy day we encountered. You won't find a better place to spend a week!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We are back home...renewed and refreshed. Our trip to your WONDERFUL city was perfect...even the weather cooperated. Your penthouse is absolutely in the best location and the perfect size for us. You have furnished it with everything that any traveler might need. The hotel concierge and desk were very helpful. The parking across the street was perfect! We left the car there for three days. No need to have the car with your location. We loved Cardero's for dinner! Discovered Bellagio's for breakfast and dined at Joe Fortes and Italian Kitchen. We didn't have one disappointment! We made two trips to Granville Island, walked Chinatown, Yaletown, Gas Town, a ferry ride of the bay, drove to Whistler on the rainy Monday (so impressed with the beauty of the drive), and rented bikes to see Stanley Park. It was absolutely a perfect vacation with an afternoon nap everyday before we went out for dinner. Many thanks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
