This new fully furnished traditional Spanish hacienda style home has charming decor,rustic custom furniture. The dining table seats 12! There is a large bar, that seats 4. Enjoy central air and heat throughout. There is Sirius satellite radio,an I pod station. A telescope to look at the stars, a full size Golden Tee video arcade game, are just a few of the treasures inside.
Outside you will find endless activities. Long walks on the beach, collecting shells and sand dollars, clamming, or just sunbathing. The water provides some of the best baja fishing, onshore and by boat. Jet skis and boats can be launched right in front of the house. The desert awaits with off road entertainment. The house was nice and fully equipped, although the wifi connection wasn't great since it's actually several houses down. Camp was deserted and quiet.
Owner response:The wifi is shared by a few neighbors, we have never had problems with it before and it has worked for all our previous guests, no complaints before..... so we will look into it, sometimes the signal on laptops can vary. Overall we have had a great experience being "Off Grid" and providing most all of the amenities you have anywhere else. Plus the stars are amazing at night! A great place to escape and enjoy a quiet and peaceful vacation.
Recommended for:Age 55+.

Great place to rent, with incredible view. House itself is very luxurious and for the price we paid it was a very good deal. I strongly recommend renting it for anyone who is planing to visit San Felipe and stay there for few days. I will be back in San Felipe next month and will be renting it again from Jodi.

Thanks so much for sharing your amazing beach front home. It was everything we were hoping for when we arrived. The beach is white sand and there are great tide pools directly in front of the house when the tide went out. The house was decorated so nice and the beds were comfortable. The local markets and restaraunts were also very good. It was safe and beautiful and we had a excellent time, we will be retuning! Chris

We had a wonderful time staying at this beachfront house in San Felipe. It was very comfortable and spacious. The decor was beautiful and the sleeping porch was peaceful. It was very clean and well maintained. Our kids and I had a wonderful time. I would definately recommend this stay to anyone who wants to get away and relax or just have fun. The owners were very friendly and helpful if we had any questions as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had the delightful pleasure of spending a week at the beachhouse in May 2009. It was our first trip to San Felipe, and our first drive into Mexico ever. Upon our arrival, we stopped in town to grab tacos from the malecon, as Jodi suggested. We were beside ourselves. We had both been to PV, Cabo, etc. many times before, and this was such a refreshing change. So romantic, quaint and free from the hustle and bustle of the large resort destinations in Mexico. The home itself is warm, spacious and so tastefully decorated. It was just the two of us, but would have been great if we had been able to get our friends to come. Perfect for four! Very secluded. We loved the privacy. We also loved the fact that were a couple markets and marisco stands within 5 minutes of the house. Such a treat. The thing that I remember most is stargazing at night on the beach! The bedrooms were serene and peaceful and I slept better than I had in weeks. By day we danced around the house to tunes from our IPods and lounged on the back patio and read books and magazines, barbequed shrimp for dinner and had margaritas and quesadillas for lunch, taking in the sunshine and enjoying the sound of the waves. Each afternoon around sunset, we would take a walk down the beach, and admire the lovely homes and sprinkling of shells on the beach. There, in solitude, with our cold Pacificos, we would sit and watch the brilliant sun against the pinkish-purple sky slowly drop into the pacific ocean. This fully-loaded, beautifully-decorated, gorgeously-surrounded, quiet home was exactly what we needed! It was an escape from the hustle and bustle the SF Bay area and a nurturing way to reconnect with ourselves and each other. We both left the place feeling completely rested and pampered - we both agreed it was the best week of vacation we have ever been on. Thank you, Hartwell's, for sharing your lovely home with us. We plan on coming back very soon!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at beach house with all amenities. Right on the beach, safe, secluded with more to do than the week we had. Beautiful sunrises over Sea of Cortez & sunsets over mountains. We loved walking the beach in either direction or up the arroyo. The birds were amazing, great fishing & a bucket of clams in less than an hour. Two master bedrooms with plenty of couch & floor room in the great room. Full airconditioning, but it never got hot enough to use it. Loved the poblado restaurants just a kilometer away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a piece of paradise. Valdo vP Mission Hills, Calif.

This rental was an excellent experience. The house is right on the beach and has tons of room. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner who gave me instructions and made me feel as if his house was mine. My family and I had a great time in San Felipe and at the house. The photos on this site are exactly how the home appears. There were 7 people in our party and we plan on staying there again.

Talk about an amazing vacation! Your house was perfect, the beach, the decor, the ocean, the ammenities and not to mention the AC. We loved the openess and how comfortable and practicle your hacianda is. Thanks for all the hints you gave us it helped us have such a great time. I will be sure to recommend your place and I already have showed tons of friends our pictues. We look forward to spending another week at your beachfront house next year.
