This is just the place for the beach lover in you. From this birds-eye view loft, you're looking south over the rugged coastline of Pismo Beach, Oceano, Nipomo and Guadalupe Dunes. Gazing down over Dinosaur Cave Park, you can view the migrating whale and full time residents, the otter, seal and pelican.
You could spend all your time in your nest with dining inside or out on the 300 square foot deck, but there are so many things to explore just steps away. Pelican Point and stairs to the beach are down the block as well as kayaks to rent for viewing the caves from down below.
Join us on the coast just 10 minutes from San Luis Obispo; off HWY 101. Shell Beach is a narrow stretch of shoreline that runs between Avila in Port San Luis and Pismo Beach. Centrally located in the optimal area for producing more than 40 varieties of wine; in four valleys; that stretch from Pasa Robles down through Santa Barbara. This area is rich in history of wine making and grape growing beginning in 1769 with the historic California Missions. You will have the time of your life with all the extras this area has to offer.

I have stayed at the Shell Beach Studio twice now and plan to return. It's clean convenient and comfortable. You can barbecue and eat your meals with an ocean view. Great walking area with nice restaraunts. Pismo Beach is next door with the wine country, San Luis Obispo and Hearst Castle close by. Even Big Sur is only a 2 1/2 hour road trip.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+.

Stayed for over two weeks in March-April and it could not have been better! This studio is perfect. Read the description...it tells you everything you need to know. The owner is friendly, helpful and made me feel at home. Highly recommended and we'll be back. If you can pry yourself out of the studio, check out Cracked Crab in Pismo. Great seafood and the place is a hoot.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children.

What a great spot! You have a wonderful view of the ocean that is a VERY short stroll to the water. There are excellent restaurants also within a block or two from the studio. This area is so close to everything the central Calif. coast has to offer. Great champagne and wines, great seafood, salt water taffy, the monarch butterflies, kayaking, and vistas for days. The tasteful studio has obviously been recently remodeled and very relaxing and comfortable. Don't miss out on this one, I'll be back for sure!

My family and I have stayed at this studio in Shell Beach and find it very relaxing, with a great view and a wonderful place to explore the sea life in the area. It is in walking distance to great restaurants, close to fine wineries and museums. I would highy recommend it and look forward to staying there in the future.
