My wife and I had a marvelous time at the whaler 515. It was all we expected and more. The description of the unit was spot on. The property at the whaler was beautiful. everything was so well groomed. The building's were fantastic. We had family come and take a look. They were totally blown away! we would have no problem recommending this unit and area to anyone. whaler village is great also. Everything we did there was fun. Thank you for sharing your home with us. This was my wife's and my 60th Birthday celebration. It was the best!

Just arrived home after spending 5 days at this Kaanapali condo. Everything was just as expected. Neat, clean, very comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed our stay very much. Morning coffee and breakfast on the lanai was beautiful as were evening sunsets. John and Valene your condo is a very special place!

We arrived on Feb 8th and had to depart on Feb 11th due to my mother in the hospital. Condo was exactly as expected. This was our 20th visit to Maui and our 8th visit at the Whaler.

Comfort, Artful Decor, Quality Appliances, Restful and Peaceful surroundings make this Condo a welcomed retreat that greet each day and sunset the blissful day experiencing the beautiful ocean and nature of Maui. This comfortable abode provides a wide collection of CD Music and DVD movies for your enjoyment. Taking a shower is a pleasurable experience with the exquisite mosaic Whale and Ocean motif. The simple request to "squeegee" excess water from the clear glass enclosure is a 30 second effort of gratitude. The kitchen is well-equipped and will accommodate any meal of choice which I recommend the local "fresh catch" of Ono and other seafood delights. It was always a pleasure to return to this inviting and peaceful condo that lived quite "big" for 2 adults. My husband and I have been frequenting the Whaler for the past 8 years, and our recent visit was such a wonderful-wonderful experience. Much Aloha to John and Valene for their attention to detail and comfort. We enjoyed the beach chairs and mini-cooler that were provided for our enjoyment. Many beautiful sunsets were enjoyed and the meals on the lanai could not be competed with any 5-star restaurant. (no bragging intended on my cooking) Much Aloha and we are anxious to return at the earliest opportunity! We were blessed to find this wonderful restful retreat....Brenda and Wylo Schwartz

Had problems right from the start

We were not told that the Whaler property was under constuctions -- it was very loud and not relaxing at all. The condo space itself was small and there was a sign that said to squgee the shower after each use -- which is a chore (not what you want to be doing on a vacation). The most annoying thing was the Air Conditioning which was loud when it turned on and off through the night. We could not sleep cause of it. I would not recommend this property.

Owner response:We did disclose that there was construction as we have to all of our guests. Our condo is a studio so the size is of course studio size. Since you did not stay in the unit at all I am not sure how you can review it. All of our other guests have been happy through the years as our reviews show. Not sure what you were looking for but better luck next time.

My husband and I were one of the four winners of the Homeaway.com Hotel Hell contest and we are so happy the we chose unit 515 to spend our dream vacation. The views are amazing, just like in the pictures. The condo was everything we expected and more. John and Valene were a pleasure to work with and so helpful about our stay. The unit is so close to the ocean that we left the door open every night so that the ocean would put us to sleep. From the very first night unit 515 became our home for a short while and we absolutely loved coming home to it at the end of our day.

Husband and I just got back last week and this place is amazing. Absolutely beautiful-from top to bottom. Well appointed with everything you need-the deor, the furnishings are all very upscale and tastefully done. We hope to return-SOON!

Maui Vacation

Wonderful overall trip. The condo was great. The view was spectacular for watching the whales and we did breakfast on the balcony many mornings enjoying them. Only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this condo. Owner is easy to work with and place is neat, clean and well stocked with what you need for any type of stay.

My fiance and i stayed here back in September. Words cannot explain the beauty that the room entails as well as how peaceful and amazing the view was. We will forever remember our stay here and are looking to visit again here soon on our honeymoon. The owners are very easy and straightforward in dealing with. Would recommend to any couple.

We stayed in this studio in early December 2009. We've rented many rooms over the years at the Whaler, but this was by far the nicest one we have rented so far. Great ocean views, nice lanai, close to everything, but most of all a very comfortable bed! Everything in this studio is top notch. Hope to stay here again soon!

We loved our stay over Christmas of 2009. The well appointed kitchen was a plus. We had sun from 8:30am until sundown for our full stay. Beach and pool a double plus. Wonderful!

"Beautiful views and professional decor!" We stayed for 7 days and had a wonderful experience at this condo! Beautiful decor with bamboo ceilings made a very cozy feel! VERY clean unit with modern ammenities and a perfect view of the ocean morning and night! Super comfortable king size bed and convenient to all restaraunts and stores. We will be choosing this condo on our next trip out to Maui!

We stayed in your Whaler condo #515 for five nights in July. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. It was the most wonderful vacation and your condo is just beautiful and so comfortable. Our stay in Maui was just perfect! Your suite is beautiful and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the water. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Your place is a piece of heaven! Our daughter was married in Wailea last Saturday and then we were able to take a break from the 120 guests here. We are sad to leave but will be back.
