"WaterSound" is nestled in quiet Cashes Valley on the renowned Fightingtown Trout Stream. The cabin is footsteps to the water and you can hear the stream from inside the cabin. The immediate terrain is flat enough where you can go for long leisure walks but for more rigorous exercise there are several mountains within hiking distance as well as the national forest. In fact, the famous Benton MacKaye Trail is just down the road. For those with a 4 wheel vehicle - less than 1.5 miles away you can venture down a gravel road into the national forest where you will cross the 35 foot wide stream several times in your vehicle on your way up to a remote waterfall and an abandoned cemetery. Absolutely beautiful with nice elevation changes, a meadow, great spots for a picnic, and great outdoor fun and adventure. Wild turkey, bear, beaver dams, and pileated woodpeckers are all found in the area. Adventure Trail Rides (horseback) is less than 3 miles away. About 20 minutes from pick up for Ocoee Whitewater Rafting
A perfect getaway for couples. The stream is great for wading on a hot summer day. Come sit out in the hot tub and look at the star filled sky on a chilly summer or winter night. Rustic Furnishings and plenty of places to sit on a huge covered back porch. A great place to recharge the batteries! |
