Large, furnished, 800 square foot, lower level of a three-story home available for rent. This spacious, beautifully-remodeled, vintage house is 3 miles from downtown and 1/4 mile to Lake Washington.
There is a daylight bedroom with queen-size bed, large dresser, and night stand. Enjoy a cooks kitchen, fully equipped with basic cookware, spices, and sundries. Refresh yourself in the 3/4 bath with a large walk-in shower. Relax in the living room with sofabed that has a comfortable full-size mattress. There is plenty of storage. This apartment has a private patio that leads to a large sunny garden.
Easy access to buslines, downtown Seattle, I-5, I-90, Highway 520, shopping,lightrail, parks, and recreation in the highly desirable Leschi, Madrona, and Madison Park neighborhoods.
Home to mostly single-family residences, Mount Baker nonetheless boasts restaurants ranging from ethnic to chic. One half block to Mio Posto Restaurant, Vitality Yoga/Pilates studio, and Urban Vines wine shop. The busline is located in front of the house. Mount Baker Park has a children's play area, tennis courts, and paved trails down to Lake Washington and Mount Baker Beach. Take the path three miles south to Seward Park, which is one of many Seattle parks designed by the Olmsted Brothers. One mile south is the vibrant Columbia City neighborhood with nightclubs, art, restaurants, library, and movie theatre.
North from Mount Baker Beach two miles is the Leschi neighborhood, known for its waterfront restaurants, neighborhood grocery, and marina. Year Purchased: 2005
I am a builder and I restored this house with my crew! Everything is new and we think we are located in one of Seattle's best neighborhoods. I am an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and like to take my guests on guided trips to view wildlife, mushroom hunt, and fish.
I now work as a real estate agent primarily and my wife is a nurse practitioner.
The Unique Benefits of this House
In July 2009 our light rail will be operational! It will be possible to take the train from the airport. We are very close to the station. Leave your car behind or walk from our house to an Enterprise Car rental locaion. The electric bus trolley runs in front of the house. The beach is only a five minute walk through a park as well. We have bikes to loan so you can explore the miles of bike trails in Seattle.
