The condo is furnished beautifully, very comfortable and has a great view of the beach. Easy access to the beach and the highway for both walks on the beach and short rides to great food. The beach is almost private appearing with very little traffic. The list of area restaurants was very helpful in having some very pleasurable dining experiences.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We came down 2011 for the third vacation at this condo. everything was perfect. the condo was very clean, comfortable and the view was just like the pictures. we like to call this "our southern home", since we have had such a relaxing and comfortable vacation three years in a row we plan on coming back in 2012. Dolphins and coffee in the morning.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Great hearing the ocean all night. Incredibly close to the ocean (around 50 yards). It looks like it is even closer. Surf is great, sometimes three or four breakers out. The owners keep their two units clean and fresh. Nicely decorated. I liked the style so much, I asked the owner where she got her furniture, bedding, etc. Other units in this older two level resort may not be as nice but don't worry about this one. If you love the ocean, this is the place! It is a little out in the country but a Publix is a mile away. Ten miles south is Sebastian Inlet which is one of Florida's finest state parks. For eight dollars a car, you can walk out on the jetty and watch the people fishing, the surfers on a windy day and the beauty of this side of the state. Keep it a secret, however, because a lot of people don't know how quiet it is over here, Historic downtown Melbourne is a fifteen drive which is very quaint. On a rainy day, you can head up to Highway 192 and shop Macy's and Dillard's at a huge mall and any restaurant you need. The free Wi-Fi is great and of course the dogs love playing in the ocean.

Just wanted to drop you a little note to tell you how much we enjoyed your condo! The boys loved the pool and ocean...my older son and I boogie boarded for 3 hours straight yesterday! My husband really got to unwind and fished with my younger one both days...they caught several whiting and a crab! The highlight though was the turtles...we saw several both nights nesting...it was amazing! I will send you pictures once I get them off the camera...truly incredible! Wish we could've stayed longer :( The condo was great, very clean, had everything we needed and comfortable...the perfect size for us!

Hi Kathy, Just wanted you to know how much we loved your apartment at Sandy Shoes. The setting was perfect for us. We didn't realize how lucky we were to have the specific unit we had until we were there for a day or two. The up-stairs view is awesome and the design of the units on the south side of the building is superior to the "flat front" finish of the north units. The only trouble we could have had was that we got in after dark on the arrival date and with the turtle "lights out" policy I would have never gotten past the lock box without a flashlight. Fortunately I travel like a Boyscout and had several. Some of the reviews of Sandy Shoes talk about this and that being wrong. I can testify that they either complain about every little thing or it has changed since they were there. Our experience was 5 star. The pool guys were there twice during our week. We thought that we were close enough in without all of the big hotel lobby/staff issues. We ate in the room quite often as the view was better than we could have found at a waterside restaurant. Nice set of dishware and food prep utensils. We went to Sebastian and the fishing museum, Honest John's Fish Camp and of course to several parties, a wedding and reception. My daughter kept me jumping every moment. I would like to come back when I didn't have such a schedule crunch. Everything was there and easy to find. So anyway, we thought the room and property were wonderful. Exactly what I would want if I had a beach property. We didn't want to leave. Loved it, loved it, loved it. We wouldn't have wanted to have done this visit any other way. P.S. The Condo is exactly one mile past the 7-11. That would be nice to know on the initial trip in (I don't GPS yet) because the traffic tends to push a bit and you tend to slow down to find the sign.

My husband and I really enjoyed your condo! It was perfect for the two of us. We had a very relaxing weekend at the beach. The weather even cleared up enough on Sunday that we were able to put the beach chairs on the sand and sun ourselves. Thank you again.

We rented unit #7 condo as a little get-away for father's day just to relax and enjoy the beach. We live right over the causeway but as most know it becomes an event to plan a trip to the beach. At Sandy Shoes the beach is your backyard! The condo was completely remodeled... clean, bright and very comfortable for the 4 of us. It had everything we needed. The pool was a bit too warm for us and needs resurfacing but we were thankful to have it nevertheless. The biggest treat was our nights on the beach watching the turtles coming up to lay their eggs. Absolutely incredible! In the daytime you can see them swimming in the ocean from the second floor of the building. We also saw a manatee swimming in the surf the first day there! What a treat this weekend was and we will be back when we need to get away again for some peace and quiet...after all we are lucky we don't have to travel too far!

If you want to put the hustle/bustle behind you and relax at the beach.... Unit 7, Sandy Shoes is for you. Just close enough to dining, shopping and entertainment and far from the crowds of public beaches and theme parks. The Unit is beautiful and well appointed. The views of the ocean from your private breakfast nook are spectacular. Inside the room was spotless and the property is well kept. Just enough quaint Florida style with all the amenities. Everything you need is supplied by the owner right down to the cork screw. If you like the Marriott and room service go to the Marriott. If you can fend for yourself for breakfast and save $20 each then go to the Publix less than half a mile down the road and relax in your own kitchen and enjoy the view of the ocean. Full size refrigerator/range lots of dinnerware and utensils, cups and such. Generous closet space. Nice bathroom and shower. Pool cleaning crew was there twice during our one week visit. I can't speak for other rooms here because different people own each unit but #7 was perfect. I want to add that we are beach people, not hotel people. We loved our stay at #7 Sandy Shoes, Melbourne Beach, Fl.

We have had a wonderful time here (October 7th to 21st). The condo is a beautiful and perfect place beside the touristic hype. It's clean, perfectly equipped and simply a second home where you can relax. The landlords information was 100% correct and we've received all information in time and in a professional way - we really felt in good hands. You can discover nesting sea turtles, many birds, crabs and fishes. Whenever travelling to Florida again, this place will be our first choice! ************ German: Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit hier. Die Wohnung ist ein wunderbarer Ort abseits des Massentourismus. Die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen und enspricht absolut allen Ansprüchen - wie ein zweites Zuhause, einfach zum relaxen. Die Angaben des Vermieters haben alle zu 100% entsprochen und wir haben alle notwendigen Informationen zeitgerecht und professionell erhalten - wir waren zu jederzeit in guten Händen. Man hat die Möglichkeit Mereschildkröten, Vögel, Krabben und Fische zu entdecken (selbst Delfine!). Diese Wohnung wird unsere erste Wahl sein, wenn wir wieder nach Florida reisen!!!
