  The apartment was fabulous. Very clean, huge master bathroom, modern kitchen, etc. It is also in a great location just a block off Lincoln Road, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and a cinema. In addition, Marjorie and her on-site property manager were very friendly, responsive and professional. All in all we had a great stay. I do have to say though, if you are at all sensitive to noise you should know that the walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything going on in the adjacent apartments. For most people visiting South Beach who will be out and about in the evening this probably won't present much of a problem. However, we were traveling with a small child who goes to bed early. The next door neighbor really likes to watch television late into the night with the volume turned all the way up. This was really the only issue which kept me from rating my total experience at the Fontana as 5 stars.

  Owner response: During this stay, there were noise issues that we attempted to resolve for this guest. Our next-door neighbor to the east was blaring her TV uncharacteristically and was causing stress to our tenant. She travels for business and is rarely at home in her apartment. She also reached me, after the fact, and complained that the crying of our tenant's baby was necessitating that she increase the volume on her TV in order to hear her television. Seems far-fetched but I suppose, possible. I've never had any noise complaints about this neighbor before although yes, its Sobe and the walls are not super thick and it is occasionally possible to hear muffled sounds from a neighboring apartment. I hope this was a one-off and won't be an ongoing situation. We've had many many visitors with babies or toddlers and none have cited the noise issues that this guest suffered. I do believe the noise from the neighbor during this stay, for this guest, was obnoxious. It sounds like the guest still had a good time in MB and at The Fontana, but it could have been much better without the conflict with the neighbor's TV. My apologies to our guest, and thanks for the review.

  Clean, Chic, Beautiful, Artsy, Kid Friendly (baby friendly anyways).... This has been my greatest VRBO Rental ever!!! Its exactly as advertised. It is in a great location, real close to Lincoln Road and a short throw from the Convention Center by walking. Also its right down the street from the Loews, Washington Street South Beach with parking, AC, a great kitchen fully stocked with whatever you need to whatever. It was cold in Miami (believe it or not) so we didn't use the pool, but there was so much to do and see, it wasnt a big deal. The property managers and people associated with the condo were great in checking us in and out. Marjorie is a pleasure to deal with via email, very business minded, and friendly. I do not have a single bad thing to say about the trip, the property, or the experience. If you like watching TV on a Big Screen, then this isnt the right condo for you, we barely watched any so it didnt matter for us. Everything was spotless, the shower/bath combo was great for baby. Simply AWESOME!!! Thanks for a great time! Marjorie, please let us stay here again and again and again, I used to hate Miami, but this apt makes me want to come back and visit soon.

  Loved our stay at Fontana. It was much more relaxing than staying at a traditional hotel, not to mention getting so much more. The living space and kitchen were beautiful. Hope to be back next year! Thanks for a well needed getaway.

  My husband and I stayed at this condo for six days in late January. We were very pleasantly surprised by how nicely outfitted it was (including a terrific kitchen), how spacious it was, and what a terrific location it's in. There are many many options for walking/sightseeing, including museums, residential neighborhoods, and beachfront hotels. Good grocery store nearby, also lots of restaurant options. Don't miss the walking tour offered by the preservation league. The owner and the property manager were both very prompt and responsive, although when you stay in here, you're not likely to have any concerns that they need to address. Very nice place!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
