We loved our stay in Fajardo. Minnie and Harry were lovely hosts. They met us at our car rental and gave us keys and directions, as well as tips for fun things to do with our children. The condo (about an hour from the airport in San Juan) is beautiful--very clean and comfortable. We were three adults and four children and we had plenty of space. We could never get tired of looking out at the view of the marina and the coast. The swimming pools were perfect for our kids. Fajardo is very conveniently located near beautiful beaches, the ferry to Culebra/Vieques, El Yunque rainforest, Bio Bay kayak tours, and much more. What a relaxing and dreamy vacation! Just what we needed.

this was by far the best vacation my daughters and i have had in years it is the only place i cans say all your plans may fail and you will still have the time of your life. the condo was perfect it has everything you need to feel at home and the are just too many things to do so when something doesnt work out you just switch gears and pick another amazing place to see. Harry and Minnie are great,very helpful the security is great. we will definitley be back probably in the spring of 2012. thanks so much Harry and Minnie

Pena Mar Ocean Club September 3 - 10, 2011

Pena Mar was recommended by a friend who stayed there in November and was very satisfied. This was our first time in Puerto Rico and staying at Pena Mar was the best experience. It was very reasonable in price and I couldn't get a hotel for that price much less the accommodations and amenities that were provided. Minnie met us at the car rental place with the keys and a map on how to get to the condo with suggestions on where to eat and what places to visit. She guided us out from the car rental location to the road that would take us to the condo. When we walked thru the door it was amazing. It was beautiful. It had everything you needed plus more. She had beach towels, lotion, and chairs everything you needed for the beach. You can't get this at a hotel. We enjoyed it every morning waking up with coffee and sitting outside on the balcony watching the sun come up over the Caribbean and the marina right across the street. Some nights we would watch the sun go down. The breeze off the Caribbean was awesome. We tried a restaurant she recommended and it was excellent. Minnie and Harry are excellent hosts. It was convenient to get to the Rain Forest, San Juan and the Marina Del Rey as well as Luquillo Beach. The people are very pleasant. I would recommended this to anyone who was going to Puerto Rico. We are already planning to go back to visit Puerto Rico and will be staying there again. The property was well maintained. The security guards were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the opportunity to feel like we were at home with all the amenities that were provided to us. Minnie recommended several restaurants for us to try but we couldn't try all of them. The one we did try Ole Leloai was excellent and was right down the street from the condo. If we didn't want to eat out we ate at the condo in a relaxing environment overlooking the Caribbean. We kept in contact with her during our visit. On our last day Minnie and Harry met us at the condo and we had a chance to visit. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk with them. Thanks to you we had a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation. We can't wait to come back to see you. We can't express ourselves enough with words for the hospitiality that Minnie and Harry granted us.

We stayed 4 nights- August 2-6, 2011, and I highly recommend Minnie and Harry's lovely apartment for rental. Minnie and Harry are kind and thoughtful and made the rental process easy from beginning to checking out. The views are so beautiful, and sitting on the patio with coffee and pastry (from the local bakery), watching the ocean, was a very peaceful way to start my day. The apartment was spotless with all the items listed to use. My mother and brother enjoyed resting while I enjoyed "my" infinity pool. Nearby there are grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, marinas, ferries, beaches and did I mention the bakery? We all enjoyed our stay here, this was an excellent location for touring Fajardo and the area and easy access to SJ. I want to return to PR -people were wonderful and the countryside is beautiful.

Good Location, Good Apartment and Helpful Owners

We rented Harry and Minnie's apartment for most of July 2011. The apartment was as advertised, very clean and as previously requested by us additional towels and bedlinen had been provided. Harry and Minnie were also very helpful with information about the area and with maps and things to do. They organised a cleaner on our behalf. The location of the apartment was very good, with excellent views. The pool within the complex was also good as was the gym and other facilities. One slight draw back were the over 'zelous' security guards as the entrance and exit gates. Also if one wished to use the tennis courts, sauna/steam rooms keys first had to be obtained from security. Other than that the complex was very well maintained. We would certainly recommend this apartment should anyone consider a vacation in Fajardo. Regards, Therese and Roy, United Kingdom

Best Vacation Ever

My wife and her mother spend 10 days in April and we had a great time at the condo. This was my first time renting a condo and I didn't know what to expect but the experience was outstanding. The pictures don't do it justice it is very secluded and this is what I was looking for after spending the past years in San Juan. The view from the balcony is great and the infinity pool my wife loved. There are allot of things to do in this area make sure you go to Culebra and Vieques. The condo is fully equipped with everytihng you need to have agreat time the security people were real nice . I stayed at hotels the previous years and I saved thousands of dollars staying here I will definately be back thanks Minnie for the great hospitality.

Great Place to Stay!

We absolutely loved and enjoyed the condo during our visit to Puerto Rico when we visited for a week in early March 2011. For location reference, it is located real close to El Conquistador Hotel. When we arrived to Puerto Rico we were greeted at the car rental place at the airport to receive the keys, which made it convenient for us since we didn't have to rush to the condo to "check-in." She gave us a map of how to find the condo with a list of places that are nearby; we found that to be very helpful as well, and shows the great hospitality offered by the owners. She also kept in contact with us during our stay, which is good to know in case an emergency may arise. When we arrived at the condo we felt like we were right at home. The condo has all the amenities you'd find, like washer and dryer, towels, coffee maker, cups and silverware, etc. One thing I didn't find at the condo was an iron, however this wasn't a deal-breaker for us. Everything else the condo offers made it worth it for us during our stay, and we will definitely be considering this condo as our place to stay on our future trips to Puerto Rico.

Excellent Condo near everything, Owners were amazing!

My husband, infant and myself just returned from a week stay in Harry & Minnie's condo. The condo was spotless and beautiful, with a great view of the ocean from one end and the marina from the other, and since it is an end unit, there was an amazing cross breeze. We had all the necessities and more then enough room. They even had a playyard for our son, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, cooler etc. The complex is beautiful and the pools were perfect. The building has elevators so it was easy getting our baggage and stroller around. The nearby restaurants were excellent - we loved Lelolai, one that Minnie recommended. Our last day we took Travelers Catamaran from the marina next door, and had a wonderful day, highly recommended. Luquillo beach and the rainforest are also easy to get to. Minnie and Harry were so sweet, met us at the condo, and made sur to show us everything and make recommendations. They were so easy to deal with and we would recommend them to anyone and definitely plan on staying here again. Thanks Minnie and Harry, we enjoyed staying in your home!

Thanks for a beautiful four days in Fajardo. We have traveled to Puerto Rico many times to the Northwest side to visit family but this was our first trip to the Northeast and the area of Fajardo. We thank you and Harry for the information you provided us with to visit the Bio bay, El Conquistador Hotel, El Yunque rain forest, and the local restuarants, all very close to the condo. Your condo was spotless and well equipped with all the necessities. The infinity pool, hot tub and gym were a welcome treat and the condo security was excellent. Your kindness and warm welcome to the Island made our vacation one of the best ever. I will recomend this area to anyone who enjoys the natural beauty of the Island of Puerto Rico.
