Every amenity has been provided for your exquisite vacation for family and pet on Hatteras Island, including private (heated) pool and hot tub. Sounds Good! has easy entry through the garage or pool deck to a huge rec-room with pool table, large screen TV/DVD area, full bath and laundry room. The game room/rec room is extra large for TV, pool table, washer/dryer, and refrigerator. Take the elevator to the second (and 3rd floor) floor which features 4 bedrooms, one of which is master with full bath, huge hall bath and all bedrooms have walk out access to private covered deck sitting areas off each bedroom. Elevator goes to all three floors, but note that there is a small flight of stairs required to enter the lowest floor of the home.
The third floor features an open floor plan with fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, great room, with fireplace and large master bedroom. An additional half bath is also on this level. Walk out to both covered porches and decks to enjoy the beautiful ocean views and scenery or just relax by the private (heated) pool and hot tub. The home is meticulously maintained and ready for your beach vacation.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Jeep excursions, Graveyard of the Atlantic museum, Cape Point fishing and surfing, Hatteras Village, Buxton Woods nature trails/maritime forest and Ferry ride to Ocracoke Island are great day trip adventures within minutes of this house. You will have access to Kinnakeet Shores Resort amenities. Kinnakeet Shores is the largest planned community on Hatteras Island. The resort boasts an impressive array of amenities including 69 acres of freshwater lakes, an outdoor Olympic-sized pool with extensive sun decks, and two Har-Tru tennis courts. our extended family met at sounds good to spend thanksgiving week together. everything was just right! of course, the weather cooperated, but even if it hadn't; the property was just super. it is exactly as described ....no surprises.. the personal service provided by the shore details agency was wonderful....a great crew to deal with.....the house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our thanksgiving feast and so spacious we never once felt overcrowded or cramped. the area was much busier than we had expected for the off season, but that meant stores, shoppes, etc. were still open and fully staffed/stocked. the hot tub was great for the chilly evenings and we all used it at one time or another. we enjoyed the three levels of decks, the views, the short walk to the beach, shelling....it was a great thanksgiving week. we'd definitely return to this property.

I can not describe how much we loved this house and the OBX. This was our first time going to the OBX and we already booked this house again for next year that is how much we loved it. We had a group of 8 adults, 2 kids (ages 4 and 6) and 2 babies (twins 7 months) and this house was perfect. The elevator made it perfect to bring our big cooler up and down when we were going to and from the beach. We have always been Myrtle Beach vacationers where you share a pool and hot tub with the whole condo community so it was great having a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The view on the top level wrap around deck was amazing. The community was very nice and very close to the grocery store. Most relaxing vacation I have had and I have two kids so they can be crazy. I would recommend this house and location to everyone!

I don't really know what to say about this house, other than how amazing it is! It is in the perfect location in Avon, right next door to the main grocery store on the island, which is key! The house was in perfect condition when we got there. When I first found the home on VRBO, I spoke with Peter, and he was the main reason we decided to rent this home. He was so helpful during the whole process. Any question I had, he was there to answer within minutes. We actually just had our wedding at the house last month, and it was just perfect. Peter gave suggestions from where guests could park, to the type of steros the house had for music! Hurricane Irene hit the Outer Banks a couple months before, and we weren't sure we were even going to be able to have the wedding due to the inaccessability of the island. He e-mailed me updates on the progress of Highway 12, and told me he would work with me if anything came up. The whole experience was wonderful. We've already talked about renting the house again for our 1 year anniversary! I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing, carefree vacation!

My family just returned from a week staying here and it was great. Very clean, everything we could need is close by. Hot tub was used every evening. My grand kids, came in from the beach each day around 4 and then used the pool until dark. We loved the spacious rooms and great kitchen. Everyone had a wonderful time. Would go back in a heartbeat!! Listing description is accurate. Property is clean and well maintained. Owner responds quickly and is a joy to work with. He is the real reason why we rented this house because of his excellent character. Food Lion grocery store and restaurants are within walking distance. Neighborhood is quiet. Beds are comfortable. Welcome book was a wonderful addition to the home and served as an excellent resource if you are unfamiliar with island. We used the kitchen extensively and my only desire was that the kitchen cookware was better quality and condition. I LOVED this house and hope to make this home a gathering place for our family.
